  • "We were very impressed by this restaurant. My wife and I shared Moroccan tomato soup, scallops, crab cake, bouillabaisse -- all superb. My kids were fine with hamburgers, which were also excellent. All the tastes have a bit of zip to them. Not inexpensive, but all the sauces were great and everything very well prepared. "

  • "Our waiter was attentive when we sat down but didn't come back for a long time to take our order. He forgot the wine I ordered until I reminded him. The other guests at my table had their drinks much earlier. My grilled cheese and bisque were lukewarm at best. The cheese was actually congealed before I was halfway done and I wasn't eating that slowly! I was very disappointed in my experience. I noticed that after I told the waiter that my food was lukewarm, other tables got steaming hot soups."

  • "I had dined here before on a Thursday night and found the noise level disturbing. This time, however, it was manageable and left me with a more positive attitude about returning. Even the background music was played at a reasonable level. The food is ,as usual, outstanding and worth the price(alittle steep)."

  • "This is the third time I enjoyed the food and the good atmosphere. Seating at the bar with friends is the best way to appreciate that place. Very good service ! Good wine list !"

  • "Service went from excellent to non-existant as the meal went on. Seems like they were under-staffed for a full friday night crowd."

  • "We haven't eaten here in a couple of years and decided to try it again. We were pleasantly surprised. I follow Leslie on Instagram and her photos made me hungry. The food was really good. The only thing is the noise level is very high the waitress had to repeat things several times to be heard and she was not good at all. The bus boy was great. We paid almost as much here as we did at the Inn at Pound Ridge and wasnt quite sure it was worth that. But having said that the food was really good. The truffle chickpeas I still think about:) We have never tipped bad but we did here bc she was terrible for this quality of a restaurant. Great place, will return again!"

  • "We recently dined at Café of Love with a group who were a mixture of vegetarians, meat eaters, and kids. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. The atmosphere was really friendly and relaxed and the menu was varied enough to accommodate everyone's taste."

  • "The food is amazing! So delicious and fresh - I couldnt stop trying other peoples meals! It was all so wonderful They had great choices on their lunch menu - from burgers to salmon to pasta. Great onion soup. All their soups are amazing!! They have a lot of gluten free choices too which was really helpful as I avoid gluten"

We enjoyed each staff member. the waitresses were very attentive and patiently explained the menu. The male wait staff were quite polite and charming as they presented our food. The Restaurant menu had excellent choices which were as delicious as anticipated and presented beautifully. Thank you for a lovely experience!"

  • "The food and service were spot on!!! I wish that I had gone the first week of Restaurant Week because I would have gone back the second week as my friends did! The restaurant is noisy but that's because almost every table was full but wasn't an awful level. This is our new favorite restaurant!!"

  • "I highly recommend this Cafe of Love. Been there many times and always have found it enjoyable -- nice atmosphere and great food. On this last visit I had the Kale/quinoa salad as a starter and the Duck entre and both were absolutely delicious. My husband loved the crab cake and the Lobster Bolognese. Their oven fried chicken is excellent as well! We've always been happy with all the food. Overall, great experience!"

  • "We went for restaurant week, but we will be back. We had a salad and soup for appetizers, lamb and a farro-based risotto for entrees and a chocolate thing and almond bread pudding for desserts. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious."

  • "The birthday lunch that we had was excellent. The restaurant was very accommodating when the birthday "girl" was a little late. 7 of us ate at a very nice round table in a private corner and felt like we could hear each other and we felt like we were in our own private room. The food was perfect. Good size portions and delicious. I will definitely be coming back to eat here and I will be bringing friends."

  • "within the constraints of restaurant week (limited menu and no substitutions), my experience was more than satisfactory. the appetizer (crab cake) was good; the entree (rack of lamb) was prepared as requested (it's not their problem that i don't like peas); the dessert, however, was disappointing. the beer choices were very good, as were the wines available by the glass. service was very good, attentive but unobtrusive."

  • "For $29.95, it was a very good deal for what they offered. The Potato chip crusted carb cake was very tasty. The lamb chops were tender and tasty, not crazy about the pureed peas, tasted like baby food. The dessertd were amazing."

  • "Three of us dined at Café of Love on a Tuesday night. Plus's were the we were seated immediately and menu choices were varied. People with various types of food preferences could be accommodated in the menu. The food was good, not terrific, not bad, just good as would be expected at this price point. The restaurant was cramped and the noise level very high. It is hard to talk. The very small bread basket served which contained one slice of bread cut into four pieces. While the appetizers were brought out promptly, the main meal took almost an hour to arrive, causing us to wonder what happened in the kitchen. An average experience, but the noise level made it unattractive as a future meeting place."

  • "Delightful! Proprietress, Leslie Lampert welcomed us as we entered her charming place. Our restaurant week visit included the delicious crabcake as an appetizer. My beet loving husband, was thrilled with the beet & arugula salad. The Lobster Bolognese was filling and flavorful. Though I don't order chicken in restaurants, I tried the Oven Fried Chicken with its delicious spices & moist chicken. The sprout slaw was a bit soggy but the curry sweet potato fries were incredible! Though Leslie is a star with genuine warmth & care checking in on tables, our server was harried & uninterested. I'm sure it was due to restaurant week but it won't detract us from returning since Leslie left us feeling the love!"

  • "Four of us went here for a resturant week dinner. The dinner price at $30/per person was reasonable. The charge for the wine ($54 for four glasses) was not! They also charged for the coffee that was served with dessert. Our total bill including tip came to $120 per couple which I find outrageous for a price fixed meal!"

  • "Relatively new to the area, my husband and I resisted coming to this restaurant because we'd not heard of it and the name, location and even decor suggested no rush to try it. When our friends suggested we give it a go, we made the reservation. We had a terrific experience. They good was ambitious, varied, clearly made with "love" and was delicious all around. While the service was a bit busy (it happened to be restaurant week), the staff were friendly and attentive. We had an excellent evening and will certainly go back."

  • "I find dining at Cafe of Love to be delightful. Being a recent transport from Los Angeles and Portland, OR, I am finding the cuisine of the Northeast tasty, yet quite different. At the Cafe of Love, I am home. With the most lovely and freshest of ingredients, presented in a creative yet uncomplicated way. Grass fed beef perfectly seasoned and cooked along side the freshest greens. I have found the food consistently good and the service excellent. The menu changes with the seasons due to the Owner utilizing the local farms and it creates a notable difference as the true flavor of the food comes through. Everything I have tried there has been delicious! The atmosphere is charming and everyone who works there is genuinely so nice."

  • "Outstanding surprise! Welcoming hostess and owner. Food choices were varied. I had a terrific arctic char which was perfectly cooked with a cauliflower leek puree. Dessert was an almond croissant bread pudding with creme anglaise which was also excellent. I tasted my mother's bouillabaisse which had a delicious complex saffron fennel broth. My husband's short ribs were also wonderful. Nice warm, friendly, convivial atmosphere. We will be back when we visit Mount Kisco!"

  • "Cafe of Love is a quaint restaurant in the "heart" of Mount Kisco. For those that have a cherished reservation, you will be embraced by a warm ambiance. The proprietor, Leslie Lampert is one of the nicest persons in the world and her staff is so courteous and helpful. As you sit down for dinner, the tables are adorned with candles and flowers and the selection of breads they serve with hummus & trimmings are delightful. The dinners there should be described as "soul foods". They are made with "love" and absolutely delectable! If you need a reservation for Valentine's Day, definitely book your reservation early. The Cafe of Love is simply the best!"

  • "Always great food! Love the sangria. We ordered two bottles of wine and it took a long time to be served and we had to ask for the second bottle when our drinks ran out. Our dinners were brought to table two steaks first, then we had to wait a bit for the two fish dinners. One of our favorite restaurants."

  • "Best neighborhood restaurant food wise. service is attentive & helpful. everyone can find something truly scrumptious -quality fit for foodies. 1 drawback- the intensity of the noise level/ LOUD.... go early on a weekend to resolve this issue. Must have truffled chick peas for table and shrimp/ prawns when they are available. Definite neighborhood gem or destination restaurant! Nice touch when owner Leslie stops by at your table to say hello..."
