Growing up one of 5 children in a tight-knit New Jersey family, Chef John relished the chance to work in the kitchen with his European grandmother, and it was from her that he developed his deep affection for Italian cuisine.
He cites his opportunity to work alongside Master Chef… Giuseppe Formica at Hotel Giardino, in, Pesaro, Italy, as having a profound influence on his culinary philosophy.
