Diner Reviews
  • "This is the favorite place my Wife and I go to for eating out in Brookfield."

  • "Sometimes I get worried that Wisconsinites might think that eating vegetarian or vegan means bland and boring food. As a frequent traveler, I've had an opportunity to explore many healthful creations, but have had a difficult time finding things in Wisconsin. I'm happy to report that slowly, but surely, this vibrant food genre is starting to make it's way to the midwest, and Cafe Manna is a delicious example. All you need to do is go to their website and start drooling over the beautiful food photography. My only caveat is that it is located pretty far outside of MIlwaukee for me, and not necessarily near a major freeway, meaning that my visits must be relegated to special occasions. Hoping they open another location in Milwaukee!"

  • "Love Cafe Manna. Second time there and we plan to go back regularly - both of us were kicking ourselves for not returning sooner. Great menu with lots of options from hardcore vegan to things that are approachable for non-vegetarians."

  • "A great setting for our small group of ladies who are health conscientious but still want to have a good time Our server was extremely attentive and friendly I had the peace bowl and it was ok - it seemed something was Missing with all of the fabulous reviews I had heard Previously about it. The spring rolls were great as well as the Pizza one gal ordered and the risotto special. Carrot cake and the Mini bites were great for dessert"

  • "I definitely appreciate what Cafe Manna is trying to do with vegan/vegetarian food. The flavor of all the food we ordered was really good. The food was fresh, however I couldn't get past some of the textures - for example tofu (gross) and the desserts were not what I expected. The raw cheesecake was very grainy, but I later found out it was made with nuts. The triple chocolate cake was very dry and crumbly with a whole wheat flavor and not very chocolatey. The hummus and chips we got for free at the beginning of the meal were outstanding. Finally, the waitress was amazing. Great personality, totally unpretentious. I just realized after eating there that I like meat and real cheese and eggs and milk and butter....."

  • "Great food, excellent service. Huge selection of healthy, tasty food. Will need many visits to try everything! Too noisy for conversation during the busy time , but off hours it is perfect."

  • "Everything about this restaurant was great especially the food. My husband and I shared the potato skin appetizer which were very tasty. I had the Raw spaghetti and meatballs, and my husband had the Cornish Pasty. Both dishes were very tasty and were large enough that we had lunch for the next. This was really more than enough to eat, but I had to try their desserts. I had the Cookies and Creme which was really good with the coffee. The service was great. Our waitress was very helpful in answering our questions about the many selections of dishes. I highly recommend Cafe Manna to vegetarians and anyone who is interested in trying some Raw dishes."

  • "Café Manna is an amazing restaurant for so many reasons. The restaurant space itself is warm, cozy and inviting of pleasant conversation. (It's a fantastic place for outdoor dining in warm weather!) The wait staff are consistently kind and helpful. And, of course, the food is delicious! As a vegetarian/gluten-free person, it can be very difficult to even consider dining out; I usually assume there will be an extremely limited selection for me to choose from, or nothing at all. At Café Manna, the selections are vast, appealing, and wonderful. Thank you!!"

  • "Too small of a venue. There are some very poor table locations and we happened to get one on our last visit. Extremely tight quarters and noisy listening to your neighbors. Food is very good and good for you."

  • "New Year's Eve at this quaint establishment offered a nice menu of truly tasty healthy food options. Yum. Yum. Yum!"

  • "Dined with friends New Year's Eve. None of us are vegan or vegetarian, but really enjoyed our dinner selections. Wine list is small but excellent. Service was very attentive, although we felt a bit rushed, and we did not expect that here."

  • "We had a reservation for a party of 5 on New Years Eve. We were seated at a table that was right in the traffic flow for all servers and arriving guests which made for a distraction for the entire meal. One of the soups served was not warm enough and had to be sent back to be heated. The 'spicier' of the entrees were too spicy for 2 of our diners - and we had to ASK for water even when it was pretty clear that we were hesitant to order spicy foods. The pacing was just ok. Great salads but overall this visit was below expectations."

  • "I love that a vegetarian, green, cool restaurant like Cafe Manna has chosen to make its home in the Milwaukee suburbs. There aren't nearly enough locally owned, quality restaurants like this in my area. Our meal was delicious (always new and exciting options on the menu), and our service was personal and pleasant. Another all-around great night out at Cafe Manna!"

  • "My daughter and I went for the Brookfield Restaurants 2013 specials and we both loved our meals. I had the lentil soup which was fantastic and my daughter had the house salad, which had a fresh yummy dressing. I had a vegetable stir fry and she had the fettucini, so we both shared. The portions were very generous, considering it was lunch and a special, that we both had some to take home. The chocolate truffle for dessert was huge, rich, delicious and a perfect ending for a great meal. I don't remember our servers name, but she explained everything well, was attentive and efficient. We were able to enjoy a leisurely meal."

I am not a vegetarian but we wanted to try it and it was excellent. All items were very tastey and the portions were good . We will be back"

  • "I don't normally strive for vegetarian, but have had extremely tasty meals here. Meals are filling, innovative and tasty. The only issue is really the price. I understand paying for quality, but the ingredients aren't typically rare or expensive ones. Regardless, it's good enough to always be busy, so make a reservation."

  • "In the Milwaukee/Chicago area, there are only three vegetarian restaurants that I would unconditionally recommend to a visiting vegetarian: Blind Faith in Evanston, IL, Green Zebra in Chicago, and Cafe Manna in Brookfield, Wi. In all these places, dishes are not just good food nicely prepared, but works of art in the presentation, choice of ingredients, and seasoning. I have now been to Cafe Manna twice. The Quinoa and Rice dice I had this time was terrific, and I am looking forward to ordering it again sometime, when I have explored the menu some more. Just go!"

  • "Myself and a group of seven dined here for a birthday celebration for a new vegetarian teen. I gave them advance notice that we would have children in our party. The food was good but the children in my party we not accommodated to. We had to ask for cups with lids, no extra napkins were provided, and the glasses were not cleared which resulted in a spill. This place is great for adults but I wouldn't return with young children. I felt unwelcomed."
