The upstairs is now closed for the summer, but we sat downstairs on the porch, which was very agreeable and far enough away from the street that you don't overwhelmed by car fumes. The steak tartare was amazing and the halibut special was excellent;.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a special birthdayWe had a special birthday dinner at Cafe Lurcat and the evening was very special. My partner had the snapper and I had the sea bass. Both were perfectly prepared and presented. We did order a side of the roasted brussel sprouts - tip: split them. Very generous portion! We sat outside on the first floor and loved every minute of it. It was a special birthday dinner for my partner, and she loved it (which is the important part).4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMA great experience! We had an all around great night at Cafe Lurcat. A loaf of hot bread reached the table, within two minutes of our being seated. On the table was a delicious dip of Olive Oil and spices. The escargots were outstanding. My wife had the veal tenderloin, which was delicious. My duck was the best I have had in years, and that was in New York City.
My wife had the profiteroles for desert, and I had the mascarpone custard with figs and strawberries.
Our waiter, Bruno, was excellent. He was friendly, helpful, and very efficient.
Cote d' Azur has moved up to the number 1 spot, on our Naples restaurant list.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMI have to say that we wentI have to say that we went at 5pm, not the perfect dining hour, but they were ready for us and the meal was fabulous. They had a fixed price menu that was fabulous. And the meal was delicious. Fabulous frites. Delicious donuts. Wonderful pork loin. And a lovely cabernet. I would recommend this gem on 5th Avenue to anyone looking for a wonderful dinner.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMour second or third time back.our second or third time back. We go each season when in Naples. Great food and wonderful, friendly service.
Unique setting with indoor and outdoor options. It's a very open and beautiful restaurant with a lively but still intimate feel. It almost feels like you are in the "cool" spot while the bustling 5th Ave crowd strolls by.
Fun people watching while dining on fantastic food.
Highly recommend it!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMA friend suggested Cafe LurcatA friend suggested Cafe Lurcat for our one night stay in Old Naples and we loved it!!
The building is very charming, the reception very welcoming, the bartender Keith mixed good drinks and was very friendly. We ate upstairs on the veranda and were served by Chrissy who couldn't have been more accomodating!! We were curious about the town since we had never been there and she was very informative and helpful.
I had the beet salad and my husband had tuna tartare to start - both loved it!
I had the pork tenderloin and he had the flat iron steak - both done to perfection.
We were there April 19th which is past the season I understand so it was not very crowded but we enjoyed that!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food. A little noisyGreat food. A little noisy on the upstairs floor, but we didn't mind. It was a very lively atmosphere (hard to find sometimes in Naples). Would definitely return.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMDining here is always a treat.Dining here is always a treat. We enjoyed the early dining menu. Always do--never disappointed. Every item is a winner.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAlmost PerfectOver all the meal was excellent. Brusselsprouts are not a favorite(I would have preferred something else),but they were well prepared.

,Lurcat never disappoints!4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Life's Great Pleasure's!Sitting on the terrace at Cafe Lurcat is one of life's great pleasures in Naples. The setting is perfect - on a lovely terrace with lots of happy people being watched by and watching passers by who wish they were sitting there as well. The food was excellent, especially the snapper served as part of the special three course meal. Drinks were expertly prepared. And Happy Hour is a real bargain. Our server, Gigi, was professional and were very friendly. The hostess, Gina, was very classy, who explained the origin of "86", the term used when an offering on the menu was no longer available.
All very good!!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMStupendous! An unbelievable food experience! Always love this place!! Every part of the meal was bursting with flavor! Very accommodating for special diets like gluten free.
Ask to sit upstairs for a prettier dining experience- on the terrace is beautiful overlooking Fifth Avenue.
(The first floor is very "night clubbish" and plain in my opinion.)
But we love Lurcat- it is always on our list when we come to town.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great experience atAnother great experience at Cafe Lurcat! We usually go for the miso sea bass, but this time we tried the pork tenderloin and pot roast with 2 guests, and those dished were surprisingly delicious. The service was great. We are leaving for the summer, but already look forward to our next visit in the Fall!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA Favorite Naples RestaurantMy husband and I and our three guests dined at Cafe Lurcat recently. We have eaten there before, and went back since we've always enjoyed the food there. We were not disappointed. Our waitress was wonderful, explaining all of Lurcat's specialties, and making recommendations. The martinis were delicious. We all had a salad, and everyone commented how good they were, in particular the house dressing. Two of us had the flat-iron steak, two had the salmon, and I had the Ahi Tuna. Everyone raved about their meals.
We also ordered the roasted brussel sprouts and potatoes au gratin for sharing, and they were delicious as well.
We were all too full for dessert. We had a lovely evening sitting on the patio near the sidewalk and people watchin4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGo for the food, stay for the donutCafe Lurcat always impresses. From the waiter who went out of his way to handle my dietary restrictions, to the chef who actually created a special dish for me was simply fantastic. The ambience upstairs is a comfortably noisy, with a calming lovely yellow decor. You can never go wrong with the tried and true dishes people have been enjoying for years - for example the duck ragout, and the pork tenderloin are "destination" entrees. Speaking of destination food, Cafe Lucrat serves the most unbelievable surprising, and indulgent dessert in all of fifth street. The donuts. Hot out of the oven, these little morsels of tenderness and taste are covered in sugar. My group of four ordered 2 orders - that's 24 donuts, 6 donuts per person.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMkudos to John our waiter onkudos to John our waiter on the upstairs patio. He was excellent and new the menu to a T . Directed us to a sMyuperb meal. One of the best waiters we have had in town. The beet salad and chicken were outstanding.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat can we say about CafeWhat can we say about Cafe Lurcat other than OUTSTANDING, FABULOUS, and AMAZING? The food never disappoints, the service is always excellent and the ambiance is wonderful. Since I have run out of adjectives, let me just say, you MUST visit Cafe Lurcat! One of the BEST restaurants in Naples!4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMCafe Lurcat is a beautifulCafe Lurcat is a beautiful restaurant in downtown Naples with consistantly excellent food. We stop in every time we visit Naples. You must try the apple cheese chive salad and the Pot Roast in red wine is to die for!4/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOur meal (8 of us) was goodOur meal (8 of us) was good with the exception of one of the orders - the duck pasta. The gentleman said it was gummy and lumpy. Otherwise a wonderful evening. Thank you.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMUnique saladCafe Lurcat is an w cells r choice for dinner. Outside patio dining is great. Apple cheese and chive sad not to be Moses. Stone crabs were only medi size but wonderful taste. Potatoes au gratin best I've ever had. Highly recommend.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat spot in Naples on Fifth,Great spot in Naples on Fifth, fodd and service were great!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFood as always was great..butFood as always was great..but the service was superior. We asked for a specific whiskey and they were out of it. OK, we were not happy but were able to find an alternative but, much to our surprise, the general manager either sent someone or went to a neighboring restaurant and got a bottle of the whiskey for our drinks. Not only did our server take our request to the manager, the manager acted on it and went out of his way to make sure that our evening was perfect. Cafe Lurcat, has always been one of my favorite restaurants in Naples.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant has it all. This restaurant has it all. Only drawback is price but fine dining in a resort area like Naples is always expensive. This is a great restaurant! Beware of the noise upstairs though. The quietest and best place to dine is the upstairs outside terrace. It's terrific!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMNot their A GameWe have eaten at Cafe Lurcat many, many times and this visit did not measure up to past visits. We made our reservation two weeks before our visit and requested an upper level outdoor balcony table. When we arrived we were told that it was a 30 minute wait for an outdoor table; this was the first time that our request for an outdoor table was not honored. When we were seated it took the bus boy and waiter 5 - 8 minutes to appear. After that, service was good with a little help from the manager. The ginger fried rice was unique, but lacked a ginger taste. My wife's tuna tartare was very good and nicely presented. The rack of lamb special was very good. However, I asked for it to be cooked medium and what was served was medium rare. Not bad e3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience, food excellent.Great experience, food excellent. Visited twice while on vacation. Will visit again next time in Naples.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMNight after night a winnerNight after night Cafe Luscat provides a consistently outstanding dining experience. Food is wonderful and the service team works well together. Drinks on the pricey side but creative. Sunday 1/2 price wine on bottles under $100 offers some very good wines at lower prices. On a warm evening eat out on the lower or upper porch3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal of the entire season!Best meal of the entire season! Unfortunately, it was one of the cold nights, so the second floor balcony was closed, but the upstairs dining room is very lovely. Noisy but good energy. Excellent service, well-paced and a knowledgeable server. Overall top notch experience.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMBest sea bassThe food and service were outstanding. I've spent about two weeks in Naples each of the last 10 years, trying dozens of restaurants during that time. This was the best dining experience I've ever had in SW Florida.
The sea bass marinated in miso was the best seafood dish I've had in years. Simply perfect.
The server was excellent as well.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful meal in a stunning roomLoved this restaurant that we tried our first night in Naples, everyone agreed that we should have saved it for our last night out since it was so memorable. Menu definitely fit for foodies with an eclectic and interesting mix of items. Loved the Apple salad which sounded strange but was absolutely delicious. The room upstairs was beautiful and our waitress was attentive and helpful. Must sample the doughnuts for dessert, one order enough for our table of 4.3/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food, service, priceGood food, service, price and great seat on the alcony. What could be better?3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMIn a city full of great restaurantsIn a city full of great restaurants - Cafe Lurcat stands out! The upstairs balcony is a great place to eat. We had wonderful and friendly service and the donuts are a real treat! We happened to be there early (after going to a "GulfShore Players' play) so we enjoyed the early diners special AND it was a Sunday (so we enjoyed 50% off bottles of wine under $100)- good value all around!3/24/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful viewsWe loved Lurcat the first time we dined with friends, but last night was even better. We've eaten on the upper terrace both visits which offer great ambienmce and views.
I had the miso seabass which is some of the best I've had in SW FL and my husband ordered the duckconfi farfalle ragout. It was outstanding. (Of course I made him let me taste) I highly recommend the apple/parmesean salad which is light & refreshing. They have a fairly expansive winelist & mixed drinks are top notch. Our server could not have been better_ being knowledgable, attentive & friendly without hovering.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMBest dining experience weBest dining experience we have had in Naples in two years of wintering here!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
