Serious food and voguish design are served up at equal measure at Cafe and Bar Lurcat. From the Chagall-inspired ceiling mural in the cafe to the Italian silk pillows and leather banquettes in the bar, Lurcat is an urban hangout that is modern, cool and loungey for Naples. Lurcat offers sophisticated comfort food, a contemporary version of a classic American Fish and Chophouse. The local, Artisan ingredients and classic continental cooking techniques are evident throughout the menu: Hamachi with Jalapeno Noodles, Tuna Tartare, Pot Roast with Red Wine and Chilean Sea Bass marinated with Miso to name a few.

  • "We love going to this restaurant. It is one of our favorites. So we took some good fiends Monday night. When we arrived we were told that dining would be downstairs only. It was extremely hot day and the inside of the restaurant was also very hot. We inquired about the AC and were told it had been broken all day, but a repairman had been called and was suppose to arrive between 6-8 pm that evening. Our reservations were for 6:30pm.The AC was never repaired while we were there. Some of the patrons moved upstairs to dine because it was much cooler, but we were not offered that option. The miso sea bass and salmon were delicious, but the pork entree was so tough, it was inedible. The donuts were the best part."

  • "Overall it was GOOD but NOT GREAT. Service and Food was solid but for the prices they are charging I was expecting great. I ordered the $46 Wagyu NY Strip, which was lopsided so 50% of it came out Well Done. Taste was good but the cut of meet was disappointing. My wife ordered the $26 pot roast and that was the best dish we had. Our daughters ordered Parpadelle (it was good) and Sea Bass (good as well). Calamari appetizer was seasoned well but too much breading left it a bit greasy. The tuna tartare was excellent. Finally, it's the summer so seating is limited to downstairs, which is more of a bar/lounge scene. I think we will return but for happy hour or late night. We'll give it one more try."

  • "Went to Lurcat to celebrate my boyfriend's new job with another couple. We had a lovely evening...service was good, not too pushy, and we never felt rushed. The sliders were FANTASTIC - all of us said it might be the best we've ever had. French fries were superb and crispy. We also sampled the calamari which were light, and crisp and the accompanying sauce was perfect. The standout ,as always, were the doughnuts - get extra. Mojito was spot on. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but for special occasions is well worth it. We plan to come by again for happy hour (and more sliders!)."

  • "This was our third visit. The service and ambiance in this restaurant is pleasing and relaxing, but the food inconsistent. On this visit we enjoyed appetizers and a salad. The entrees very disappointing; pork more fat than meat and undercooked, the filet came out raw inside and then was overcooked upon return. Sides are ala carte and pricey although the portion of fries was large. Since there are many other eatery options nearby we would not return here too soon."

  • "Enjoyed an excellent patio dinner with girlfriends. Chose based on restaurant website then received a locals suggestion as a good spot. Dined 8:30 on a Saturday and got a nice spot on the patio. Did make reservations via Open Table. Had cocktails, salads (apple & cheese was great and different) and tuna & sea bass. Sea bass was like butter. Melted on your tongue. Our local friend suggested the donuts for dessert and we had reached the evening happy hour where they were only $5 so we gave them a try. They were tasty and a big serving, took some back to the hotel for breakfast. Our favorite dining spot over 4 days."

  • "My wife and I have enjoyed many evenings at Cafe Lurcat. Our guests have also found it to be a very classy dining place. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. The table spacing provides you with quite a bit of privacy. It's unfortunate that the only time that the upstairs dining room is open is during season, when you have to make reservations well in advance and the ambience is lost on so many noisy people, often ill-dressed for the occasion."

Also served a large side of brussell sprouts (which I hate & didn't eat) & I found out later I could have had another choice, but the waiter never offered ANYTHING. I just got what he gave me. Overall experience was not good. However, the donuts served were GREAT."

  • "We went to this restaurant after reading the review in the "Best" issue of Gulfshore Life Magazine. The restaurant is well located and has a good ambience, unfortunately the food is over complicated and over expensive. the wine list is extensive and also too expensive for the quality on offer. unfortunately my dining companion was quite ill after the meal, which of course may have been coincidence. The tuna tartare was somewhat overpowered by onions which are really not needed and do not improve the flavour of sushi grade tuna and the steak tartare was simply strange both as to ingredients and texture. Our fish main courses were better and the side dish of glazed carrots with marscapone cheese was very original and tasty."

  • "Naples has an abundance of restaurants. The "Fifth Avenue" area has always been a hot destination for a fun evening. We have experienced some great food on Fifth Avenue and, some not so great food as well. We had heard that Cafe Lurcat was well worth trying and, our overall experience didn't disappoint. The menu and wine list were more in keeping with a "fine dining" experience, than a vibrant, tourist destination. Our server, as well as the restaurant manager, could't have been more attentive. Everything we ordered was fantastic. My wife ordered a pork tenderloin and I the Lamb chops & Osso Bucco. Our wine pairings were perfect. They have some very tasty deserts but the specialty is there mini donuts, that come out of the kitchen warm."

Decided to give it another try and were rewarded with over-the-top, great food and a lovely dining experience on the deck upstairs for out anniversary. Went back down and they tried to seat us at a table facing the kitchen in a nearly empty dining area. Asked for a different location. Sat there for 15 minutes before a server came. Ordered 3 different tapas like appetizers which in the past were great but not so much now. This is not unusual in Naples anymore. Food, service really becoming "touristy". "
