Cafe LucciAlways a great meal! Our group of 7 had 3 kids. The restaurant was bustling with activity at 6pm. Our waiter was attentive and had time to banter with my brither's jovial mood! Bobby, one of the owners, made a run for my favorite bottle of Pinot Noir. I had the nut encrusted halibut, with a sweet complimentary sauce, The Sea Bass is a favorite for my husband and son. My sister in law had the seafood crepes, and my brother had the Gorgonzola stuffed veal chop! All amazing! It is no wonder we keep coming back. Who needs the city, when Cafe Lucci is in our own backyard!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMIt may be an Italian restaurant,It may be an Italian restaurant, but they serve some of the best fish anywhere. Not to say that the Italian dishes arent good as well. Managment is very helpful and accomodating.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMHad dinner with my team fromHad dinner with my team from work. Thanks for everything,
Aida5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a GemMet friends at Café Lucci, at their recommendation. What a wonderful little spot. I had ravioli, and it was some of the best I've ever had. Look for this neighborhood gem. Well worth the drive if you're not from the area. I'll be bringing my family from the west 'burbs sometime soon.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food, great service,Delicious food, great service, noisy but enjoyable dinner.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMTHe grilled baby octopus wasTHe grilled baby octopus was an excellent appetizer. Double cut pork chop also very good. Great service.4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMYou can always tell when aYou can always tell when a restaurant is there for their profit and not for your enjoyment. Caffe Lucci overwhelms you with food and service. They begin with a plate at the table filled with a garlic spread and another bowl with veggies in a marination and bread that is warm and flavorful. Cafe Lucci may make a profit but the restaurant is there for you to enjoy. The service was flawless and the busboys did not touch the lip of the glass to their ewer.
They have a gluten-free pasta that is delicious and the desserts are too die for. All in all, the experience was delighful and the food above delicous. The waiter made great recommendations.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThrowback Italian, professionalThrowback Italian, professional waitstaff. We enjoyed the food. They had a very good Antinori wine special for $40, which was quite a deal.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA gemWe never would have found this incredible restaurant if it wasn't for Open Table. Its located in a strip mall area but is truly a hidden gem. The waiter was perhaps the most knowledgeable I have ever had and also friendly and courteous. He split everything we ordered at the table for us without even being asked. The wines are quite expensive but we ordered the special of the night and it was delicious. Everything we ordered was amazing and this is a definite return to and recommend place. The four of us left with one word - WOW!!!!4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have going here for aboutWe have going here for about 5 years. We have never been disapointed4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I had not beenMy wife and I had not been to Cafe Lucci for many years but were very glad we chose to return. Best skirt steak I have had, and my wife, a Halibut fanatic was very pleased with her entree.
We'll be back!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFood is consistently veryFood is consistently very good. Bread is fabulous. It can get a little crazy on a Saturday night though.3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food and service wereThe food and service were excellent but it was very loud which made it difficult to have a conversation. We had a large round table and we couldn't hear across the table.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMI have been here many timesI have been here many times with family and/or friends. The food is always excellent. Reasonable prices3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMDo not miss this place!Cafe Lucci is one of my favorite restuarants and to have it in the suburbs is even better! They do a terrific business lunch or private business dinner. The food is exceptional and their specials are creative. One of the best!3/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother fabulous meal lastAnother fabulous meal last night. The fried calamari was crisp and tender, grilled octopus was amazingly tender-the best ever we have ever ordered. The mushroom soup was very creamy, was a bit too thick and needed a little more mushroom flavor.
Pinenut (ground into flour) crusted grouper was crisp with a very moist and flaky fish and served with a very bright and flavorful tomato beurre blanc. The cioppino was a very, very large portion, with maybe a few too many mussels relative to the other components.
Veal stuffed capellaci special was flavorful and served with a smoked mozzarella tomato sauce. The risotto had a perceptible saffron note and large enough for two.
Two bone pork chop with giardiniera and sausages was spicy and del3/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a good meal. I hadAlways a good meal. The ny strip steal was great.2/11/2013 12:00:00 AMI was nervous meeting a blindI was nervous meeting a blind date at this place. Our server made us feel at home and broke the ice. I had the crab cakes and the veal pancetta both were great. My date had the sea bass with pancetta and she loved it. The bottle of wine that was recommended didn't break the bank.1/30/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great meal but thisAnother great meal but this time we sat in the back room along the north side of the building. The only reason this place does not get five stars from us is because of the very strange location, lack of views, forced valet parking and tight quarters within the restaurant - otherwise this would be a five-star all around. The food is always top-notch, well-prepared & tasty - albeit pricey. This time we had see scallops with fettuccine and sun-dried tomatoes a light yet flavorful dish. The double pork chop with pepperoncini and italian sausages was outstanding and as protein packed as it sounds. The chicken marsala had two large chicken breasts and plenty of wine soaked mushrooms. The chocolate gelato was amazingly smooth and rich for desser1/25/2013 12:00:00 AMI took a client for dinner.I took a client for dinner. I walked in and from the owner to the server, I was made to feel like I was at home. The veal chop was a winner
