The staff was attentive, the restaurant had a feeling of intimacy, good portions, affordable, nice local wine list, and our evening had a wonderful rhythm to it. Every morsel of food was unbelievably delicious, fresh, and beautifully plated.
The arugula salad was heavenly, the shrimp cakes fabulous and the ahi special was superb.
But make sure you save room for dessert...that butterscotch pudding was incredible.
We will return to Cafe La Haye next time we're anywhere near Sonoma and recommend this restaurant to our friends. By the time we checked in, we were exhausted! I called Cafe La Haye to see if they would take us sooner. They were so accommodating, friendly & welcoming. First courses were Pasta Fagioli with Ham Hocks, Old School Shrimp Cakes. Both excellent. Entrees consisted of Pan Seared Salomon with porcini broth, special of quail with stuffing.Both excellent. Two of our party had the roasted chicken with ricotta gnochi. Chicken was moist, but nothing special. Gnochi was bland; otherwise a higher food rating.
