Trout amandine was one of the best I've ever had -- cooked perfectly. Thin apple tart was lovely. The service was excellent. We weren't rushed for a second but they came with everything promptly throughout. Definitely my new favorite lunch spot in Orange County... and that's saying a lot! They cooked our steaks very rare instead of medium rare. we accepted it. But the mandatory 20% tip AND tax on tip was an unpleasant surprise. Total price for brunch deserves good steak! The floral display in spring is unbeatable for ambience. We enjoyed our lunch of salmon, crab cake, and beef sandwiches. The menu is reasonably priced and the food tasty though not particularly adventuresome. We stayed quite a long time and the staff were courteous and attentive to the end. There is a $3 per person fee to enter the garden even with a reservation unless you are a garden member.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AM
