"The service and food were both amazing. When we initially arrived, we were some of the first patrons in the restaurant. We were seated at a small table for two next to two large tables. The large tables were then quickly filled with large groups which immediately took away from our "quiet dinner for two". This was a bit discouraging since there were many other tables for two, within the same section, as well as other open sections, that were much quieter and away from large groups. We made the best of it although the group closest to us were very loud and obnoxious. The service and the food were impeccable however. Highly recommend the 50/50 roll!!"

"ten minutes for the waitress to show up. ten more minutes to get water to our table. another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. decent food - way over priced - for the same price you should eat at Flemmings next door."

"Delicious rolls and miso soup. The Dau wine is definitely worth trying. I heard the Kobe steak is great, too, I just never tried it because I am not big on red meat. The Japengo team seems always cheerful, energetic, and most importantly, cares to keep the customers happy."

"Cafe Japengo is THE place to go whenever you are craving sushi. The fish is always fresh. The rolls not only taste delicious but also look so good, you want to eat them all at once haha! My favorite rolls are carne asada, fifty-fifty and rainbow (I have never tried the rolls containing eel, though as I am not a fan of eel). The spring rolls and duck dumplings are excellent as appetizers. If you love chocolate as much as I do, you will not be disappointed with the warm chocolate lava cake served with vanilla ice cream. Yummy! The service is unmatched. It's always nice to see how the Japengo team works together to keep the customers coming back. The manager is just fabulous - she is super-friendly and makes sure all clients are happy."
