"Really disorganized host - many people were complaining about their long waits. We waited 15 minutes and had a reservation. The hostess was engaged in a long complicated phone conversation instead of keeping things moving."

"The flavors of the food were great. However, the exceptions/substitutions the kitchen will or will not make were confusing. They seem to make many dishes ahead of time.

Due to my own dietary restrictions, I could only have the veggie fajitas and happily planned to order this. Somehow, though many other dishes had both veggies and tortillas, veggie fajitas were not available. I ordered two side dishes of mixed veggies, which were actually quite good, but alongside this I received tortillas. So... they basically were more expensive fajitas.

For dessert the server said the rose petal gelato we ordered was actually an 'imitation,' which was also confusing and turned out to be raspberry sorbet. Communication of dishes could be improved."

"My friend and I came here for dinner at 7 on a Friday. There were a lot of people, so a reservation is a must. Cafe Frida has a great ambiance with warm lighting anda cozy interior, paired with reasonably-priced dishes, good margarita, and friendly service. There was a lot of lively chatter around, but we were able to carry on a conversation with no problem."

"The food was very good. However, our table and the tables around us were affected by a jet-engine air conditioning vent that not only made us cold, but also cooled the food at an alarming rate. We made repeated requests of the wait staff and nothing was done about it. If seated in a different area of the restaurant."
