Chairs and people are very close together.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic waiterWe informed the waiter of our Met curtain and he took care of everything. We sat in an upper alcove off the main floor....it was quiet and great. We often dine here and always felt special thanks to the entire staff....from the front podium to the chocolate breaker which we enjoy on our departure.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMA Favorite! One of our favorite places when in NYC. Famous for their pizza with the thinnest, crispiest crust you can even imagine - and right across the street from Lincoln Center. Very good service. We love sitting outside, eating pizza and drinking wine, and watching people.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMTwo Thumbs UpI'm a frequent visitor for Saturday brunch and occasionally for dinner. Fiorello's is across the street from the Metropolitan Opera. It's a convenient stop for brunch or dinner before or after a performance. The food is consistently outstanding, the service impeccable, and the salad bar second to none. It can, however, get very noisy, though the food and service never disappoint.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful time!My son almost licked his plate of seafood risotto clean. My husband said that his veal picatta was the best h'd ever had. The lasagna that I ordered was truly special!!!!! Thank you for a lovely evening!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite among many good choicesWhen given the opportunity, I prefer Cafe Fiorello for friendly, professional service, indoor and outdoor ambience, excellent food, surprise extras like hot muffins, cookies, and chocolates, and attention to detail. I will be back!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for pre-theatreRight across the street from Lincoln Center, Fiorello is very lively from 5:30 to 7:30. The restaurant does an admirable job in getting people to the theatre ontime. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Some of the dishes i.e. lasagna and pizza are really too big for one person. The antipasti are the best and various combinations are available or one can simply go to the bar and choose.
After 7:30 things quiet down and even though it is a large space, the noise level becomes acceptable for conversation.
In the warm months, the outdoor seating is always pleasant.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFavorite spot in Lincoln Center areVaried menu, fabulous antipastos. Dynamic atmosphere across the street from Lincoln Center.
This is our favorite restaurant on a most interesting corner of the city.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat BrunchAlways love to dine at Fiorello's for brunch before our Lincoln Center Theater matinees. Everyone is always pleased. Large selection, delicious food and a complimentary drink is included. What's not to love?5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCafe Fiorello and the MetMy husband and I travel to NY once every year or so to attend an opera at the Met. We first dined at Fiorello because it was a handy location. Since that first time it has been our go to spot when attending the Met. Wish we could transport it it NC.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMLaGuardia would be proud!Don't know if this restaurant is named after the famed mayor of NYC, but if it was, he'd be proud!
The food is always wonderful and flavorful and the ambience full of fun. The lasagna is the best!
I'll keep in coming back!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic place and food is greatLove this place! My only complaint is they change the menu all the time and take off great things! We eat here all the time because we live up the street and the food is always great. Love the pizza of course and the Lasagna is great for friends who come into town. You can't go wrong at this great place. Mozzarella cheese was creamy and flavorful, and the vegetables were bright and delicious. The artichokes alla Giudaea were crispy, not greasy. We were a foursome and the appetizers were so filling we only ordered 2 entrees and shared. The lasagna is magnificient. I would recommend this restaurant with all my heart. I usually come here before going to the opera, so even on a tight time frame, they deliver. The service is attentive, but not intrusive. Simply wonderful in every respect.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMOur go-to restaurant! The best veal parm, chicken parm AND lasagna in NYC according to my son- and the rest of us agree! We go for their unique open-faced lasagna, the delicious salad bar selections, a special meringue cake, and the tasty chocolate in a bowl on the way out. Welcoming hosts make it a pleasant, friendly experience, despite the crowds of pre-Lincoln Center attendees.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific for pre-Lincoln CenterTerrific for pre-Lincoln Center dining. They always manage to produce quite decent to delicious food in very short order. Three veggie appetizer as a main course is not only a delicious light pre-theater meal but also well priced. Which fact balances the outrageous price of wine by-the-glass.4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMSeafood pizza was not outstandingSeafood pizza was not outstanding but was good and a nice post-opera light meal.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWas fortunate enough to secureWas fortunate enough to secure a last-minute Open Table reservation, right after a Met Opera performance. Great food, and very pleasant ambiance. We enjoyed the meal, and were full! So we went to the concert (a great one--!) and then came back for dessert, and we were able to sit outside, thanks to the well-placed heaters, and enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor dining area. really enhanced a "New York evening" for my out-of-town guests.4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is a great pre-theatreThis is a great pre-theatre restaurant with Lincoln Center across the street.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a great time. Happy atmosphere. And, of course, super-convenient to Lincoln Center.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMNobody I know ever describesNobody I know ever describes it that way, but Cafe Fiorello is an especially pretty restaurant, in a way – surprising for an Italian restaurant – that calls to mind the French Belle Epoque. The food is very good, the service is first rate, and you can sit outdoors in nice weather. What's not to like.4/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and friendly service.Good food and friendly service. NYC/Lincoln Center area expensive4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely loved the antipastoAbsolutely loved the antipasto bar. Thought the prices were a little on the high end. Overall good meal. Very warm reception at the door. Felt like I was very welcomed. Nice staff is really important!!!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place across from Lincoln CtrThe staff was friendly and helpful, the choices for cold plates was wonderful and the bill arrived when we wanted it. The outside cafe was lively and overlooked Lincoln Center.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMYum-Yum Café FiorelloCafé Fiorello is one of my long-time favorites in the Lincoln Center neighborhood. If I'm not having a quick bite at the hors-d'oevres bar, I always sit in the booth "reserved"? for the College Board: i.e., in the small space around the partition, as one enters, to the right. That is where the noise is moderate! If I'm going to an evening concert, I get to Fiorello's early enough to have good service and a leisurely meal. Their wine by the mini-carafe suits me well. (N.B. Mini-carafe, not just glass.) Their bread -- focaccia -- is first rate; they treat fresh fish and vegetables with light-touch respect. Their COFFE is good! And even without dessert, there's an offering of cookies or a fruited muffin and the exit bowl of dark chocolate.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMI went here with 4 girlfriendsI went here with 4 girlfriends for 2 of our birthdays. (I had already dined here & recommended it). My friends enjoyed everything about it. Large portions of delicious food very well presented. Staff was terrific- even down to the waiter who (with a group of waiters) who sang happy birthday to us opera style! Great time great dinner.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AM
