Cafe du Boiskeep coming backHubby and I stumbled across this place over a year ago looking for a nice dinner out without the kids. It was higher then we planned in for dinner but worth it. We go every couple of months to just get away. Last few times we've gone we've been treated to acoustic guitar classics by a local musician. Music made for peaceful evening. We treated ourselves to dessert as well. A very relaxing start, with staff that kept your coffee cup filled until the food arrived. Breakfasts at Cafe DuBois offer great value. For a few dollars more than you'd spend at a big brand restaurant, you get better food, better service, in a more peaceful atmosphere.
Staff treats us like family there, and it is becoming a regular destination for us. All the food ordered by our party of 5 was prepared superbly and the presentation of the salads and main dishes was absolutely beautiful. The servers were absolutely the most attentive and no glass even approached 1/2 empty. Our primarily adult party with a 2 year old were well taken care of and food was always available for the child, which made our dinner an enjoyable experience. This is a "must try" restaurant as both the beef and seafood dishes were expertly prepared, presented, and served! Good food and presentation and the service was all that you could wish for. The classical guitar player added an overall genteel ambiance to the restaurant.
I have been many times for lunch, which is perfect for a quiet twosome, or a group.
This is definitly not a 'family' restaurant - but more mature children would be welcome.
