And the ambiance is so much nicer than most other restaurants of similar ilk could afford, so not only is the everything on the menu both wonderful culinary & artistic presentations, so also is the diningroom itself. We go back again and again and are never disappointed. Many different servers took care of me as they passed by to the kitchen or bar from other tables to the kitchen. i enjoyed the Skeleton Horse drink which I actually stuck with the whole evening! We also ordered the cheese flight where we could choose our own cheeses. They were delicious and were served with little pairings such as champagne jelly and cookies. The cheese was also served with large slices of bread, which I thought was unusual. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tuna Tartar and these little dumpling things with goat cheese in them. Food was fantastic and when the soup came out cold, they took it back immediately to warm / heat it up. The lamb was also cooked as requested. Atmosphere was to our liking because we wanted something quiet and romantic. In addition to really good and interesting food, the service here has always been above expectations. Quality and appropriate. Today, I was unusually looking for the waiter. But not for a long time, just longer than I am accustomed to at this place.

I particularly enjoyed the salmon with citrus foam. But its effort to be unique, creative & complex, didn't succeed with the pear bavoise, which to me just was an odd melange & the bavoise wasn't very flavorful. The service was very friendly and I appreciated that it was not rushed and the waiter wasn't fawning. On the other hand, at times, no one was around to clear the plates. The atmosphere is comfortable, attractive & relaxed. What I mean by that is there are essentially no vegetarian options, and only one option for fish. I didn't have to think much for what I wanted, since the fish was the only dish I could eat. It was well done, but a little too sweet.
I would recommend this place they do interesting things with the food. My wife's rack of lamb was remarkably tough and my mother-in-laws halibut was well prepared, but pretty bland. The service and ambience are still notable.
