Good for her, the salads, and appetizers were great. The wine list is extensive, and being that I'm not picky, there were lots of options. I had the Wild Mushroom strudel-a delightful appetizer-I should've asked for a side of the Fonduta for more dipping!!! The Black Grouper/shrimp risotto special was absolutely divine!!! My husband had the Rigatoni bolognese and Short ribs-he CLEANED HIS PLATE-We were supposed to "share". I left a good portion of my dinner because I was full. One of the many attentive servers asked if I would like to take it home and i declined. BIG MISTAKE!! I thought about that dish all day yesterday. Wine list was pricey, but there were a lot of wines by the glass and half-bottle. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our table in the loft which overlooked the entire dining room below. To our surprise, the table was laden with "Happy Anniversary" décor - very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and the food was incredible. Café Chardonnay made our 17th Anniversary a night to remember. We have gone for lunch several times and the food selection is the best....unique and always well prepared and delicious. This was our first time for dinner and on a BUSY Thursday night. Glad we made reservations in advance. The dinner specials were "something different" and enjoyable. Everything about this place is PERFECT---service, ambience, wine selection and of course the food.
