Café Boulud Palm Beach
Mothers Day BrunchThe individually made guacamole was wonderful as was the crab Benedict and I could eat my weight in red and yellow beets with caramelized walnuts. Nice fresh salads, carved meats and omelet station. Could use a few gooey obscene desserts along with the picture perfect little custards and mousse. Food quality and upbeat atmosphere justified the high price. Great place for special occasion brunch or treat for serious foodies. Delicious dark chocolate candy bar gift for moms.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day BrunchWonderful treat for Mother's Day. Food was good and although full not as crowded as other venues for the holiday. We've come here often as a treat but never for Mother's Day. We may make this a new tradition. It was the perfect place, and brunch the perfect time, for the 6 and 10 year old to get exposed to fine dining. Mom, Nana and Aunt didin't mind it either. Thank youj.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMWow!Exceptional !! We returned for lunch the next day. Good is fresh, creative and delightful!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNever DisappointsIf you want a little something at the bar, or a full blwon dinner--you will not be disapointed with the food, service and ambiance at this Palm Beach stunner. Even after ten years, it never fails to provide fresh seasonal ingredients that are thoughtfully prepared. A tip: the fixed price lunch is a tremendous value.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary DInner TreatThis restaurant did not disappoint with food or service. The waiter was very friendly and informative. Only negative was recommending an off menu item that was not actually available and a theme of "all other restaurants in PB are bad" . The wine was perfectly paired to a wonderful dinner. Not much left on our plates when we were done and that is rare for my wife. I will go back after the checking account is replenished.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect..... Martini's rightPerfect..... Martini's right on! Wine list excellent! Food, delicious!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely superb food andAbsolutely superb food and service. Beautiful and creative preparation.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a splurgeA special treat for a romantic night out. The menu is interesting and innovative with many unusual ingredients. The French Martini generous in size lasted the entire dinner. My tuna sashimi appetizer was full of flavors ginger, lemon, wasabi and pepper with the most delicious salad dressing. I opted for the appetizer portion of the grilled octopus and prawn dish with mushroom and pea risotto so I would have room for dessert so perfectly prepared with each item intense and individual in taste. The waiter from Greece was efficient friendly and not obsequious. The entire staff is professional and really know how to serve properly. Dessert was beautifully presented with a platter of tiny treats. Just the right ending.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPrix fixe lunch was an excellentPrix fixe lunch was an excellent value. Service was impeccable. Food was well prepared and presented.4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a poor table despite thereHad a poor table despite there being many empty tables. That detracted from an otherwise very nice meal. Have been there many times and will go again.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely an outstandingAbsolutely an outstanding restaurant! Excellent food, service, ambiance.
A gem, almost too good to be true.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMPhenomenal food, outstandingPhenomenal food, outstanding service, lovely ambiance...Cafe Boulud always exceeds our expectations.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMSunday brunchJust love this venue! It was a fabulous day. My eggs were overlooked otherwise everything was perfect!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMNot all that It Should beBeen to Cafe Boulud many times by now. But the special lunch has some food --mainly the main course that is less than stellar. My Benedict Boulud had a hard cooked fried egg, and when I inquired as to whether this is the way it's usually served, our waiter assured me it was. That surprises me. If you're going to feature a dish as a prix fixe "special" it should measure up to anything else on the menu, a la carte or otherwise. Boulud should be known not just for ambience, which it has, but for the high standard of EVERY dish.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWe have been to Cafe BouludWe have been to Cafe Boulud several times and have found that the prix fixe menu, offered Sunday to Thursday, is the best value - $45 for three courses. The food is delicious, you have a good selection of dishes for each course, and the service is lovely. However, you have to ask for the prix fixe menu - it is not given to you. Happy hour at the bar is from 4-7:30, when drinks are half price (not sure if that is every night or not). We have also been there on a Saturday night (last year), which was less satisfactory. The table we were given looked into the bushes, the service wasn't as good, and the prices were about twice as much. So if you want elegant dining at a more affordable price, go Sunday-Thursday!4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a memorable diningAlways a memorable dining experience. Truly "haute cuisine".4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMSometimes there are very largeSometimes there are very large tables of "ladies who lunch!"4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOur Anniversary at Cafe BouludWe chose Cafe Boulud to celebrate our wedding anniversary based on a friend's recommendation. ServicePretty much perfection. Service got a little dicey as the place got busy. I really appreciated the menu which had classic dishes along side more innovative and pan-ethnic offerings. The use of local and central/south American ingredients was very effective. Wine list was eclectic and well engineered. Tried and appreciated some wines I never would have considered. Certainly the best meal I had in South Florida.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is the best restaurantThis is the best restaurant we have visited in Palm Beach. Hands down!
The service was attentive without being cloying. The food was delicious and visually pleasing. The ambiance perfect! The cost was moderate-high. I would recommend Boulud to anyone desiring an exceptional dining experience.3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe dine at Cafe Boulud frequentlyWe dine at Cafe Boulud frequently and it is a favorite spot in Palm Beach. Don't miss it3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFood should be better. It'sFood should be better. It's lives off it's setting and reputation. Had both lunch and dinner. Cramped tables on terrace outside. Inside dining nicer. Lunch mediocre with cold service. Dinner better but uneven food, good service. It need a visit and shakeup by Daniel Boulud.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful evening. We had a wonderful evening. The noise level was low - a very important consideration when dining with friends. It was a special occasion and the food, service and ambiance all helped to make it special.3/11/2013 12:00:00 AMIndulgence in an elegant settingCafe Boulud Palm Beach resides in the Brazilian Court Hotel on a quiet residential street of Palm Beach. This was my third visit and the food remains top notch. Although I dined outside during earlier visits, we were seated indoors on this visit. Our waiter was informative, suggestive, and highly attentive. Commitment to quality was reflected in that each course was prepared to order and presented artfully. The menu offered traditional breakfast items, lunch sandwiches, lite entrees, and a prix fixe menu. We ordered from the prix fixe menu and were glad we did so.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful experience. We had a wonderful experience. We keep returning there for a reason: it is the best.2/25/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother great meal. The service,Another great meal. The service, food and ambiance are first rate. Get an outdoor table and be transported to Europe. It is not for the budget-minded. BUT as a special occasion spot-it can't be beat in PB.2/21/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent spinach salad, butExcellent spinach salad, but the Octopus main course was overcooked, burned and dry. Replaced it with lobster salad, which was excellent. The duck was good, but not quite as good as last time.2/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNo whining about the wineThe service, ambience and Dinner was great, we were unlucky however getting our first, second, and third choices for wine. They happend to be very busy over the weekend and their delivery schedule prevented them from having replacements by Monday evening. The fourth wine was excellent ! So it didn't matter they have plenty of depth. We always enjoy this restaurant.2/11/2013 12:00:00 AMEvery dish was superb, fromEvery dish was superb, from the spanish octopus (the appetizer portion was enough for two) to the succulent duck breast and the capellini. Didn't have time for desert. The wait staff was very professional and always present when needed.1/25/2013 12:00:00 AMThe decor of the restaurantThe decor of the restaurant and the service are outstanding. The chicken entre was supurb. The key lime dessert was fantastic.1/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Brunch in PB CountyThis place remains the best place for an upscale breakfast/ brunch in Palm Beach. Yes, it is a bit corporate since it is part of the Boulud empire, yet it still retains enough anuthenticity to rise above chain status. Not what it was under prior chef Zach Bell, but still very good.12/23/2012 12:00:00 AMGreat Thanksgiving DinnerWe went for Thanksgiving and were not disappointed. Always top notch service, food, wine list and ambiance.11/22/2012 12:00:00 AM
