Our waiter, Curtis, was splendid! It was our 1st visit to Cafe Boulud and he explained everything on the menu, how fresh it was, where it came from, how it would taste, etc. He was top notch and our appetizers in the bar before dinner were very creative and worthwhile, too.

Café Boulud is an establishment nestled in one of the most beautiful historic hotels in palm beach. The food speaks for itself and stands up with the very best restaurants in the country. What makes this one of the best places I have ever eaten and the reason I constantly return is the staff; they are superbly qualified and attentive but do it in such an unpretentious way that you feel very comfortable even if out of your depth particularly with the amazing sommelier. The wine selections are great and the unassuming advice given simply serves to make it one of the best nights you will have in Palm Beach. A definite night out!

Went to in the past for both lunch & dinner and the results have usually been good. This time we went for Price Fixe lunch. we were disappointed on a number of levels. Beet tartar appetizer had no spark. OK but not exciting. Salad was pedestrian (plain ice berg tastleless lettuce). 2 of us had the Lamb Burger which was overcooked and tasted like heated mush. Moules Frite/ mussels & sausage was acceptable. Chocolate breadpudding & Panacotte sorbet was excellent.I ordered a double expresso. It arrived cold 7 tastless. Its hard to find good expresso out of Italy & I should have known better. When I complained and asked for regular coffee, it didn't arrive until the server asked how I liked it she was shocked when I said that it never came.

We had lunch at Cafe Boulud in August and found food, service and ambiance in the outdoor patio to be perfect. When we returned for a Saturday dinner, we were very disappointed. It started with a too small table for 3 in the corner right next to the entrance to the kitchen. It didn't get better as the food was fair to poor. Wine was good as was the service.

My husband and I were seated at a lovely table. The staff was very knowledgeable and extremely attentive. The only problem was that the food was disappointing, as it lacked flavor. It wasn't bad, but we've had much better French food in Pennsylvania. We expected more from a restaurant by a renowned French chef.

Café Boulud provided the perfect setting for my birthday celebration.as we dined on the air conditioned patio. I started with the oh-so-delicious White Cosmo complete with an orchid frozen in the round ice cube. My first course was the escargot - sumptuous. Followed by the mussels entrée, equally good. My husband enjoyed the snowy grouper entrée and we shared the delicious profiteroles for dessert. A truly memorable meal and evening.

We have happily visited Cafe Boulud in NYC and had a magical dinner. We tried their Palm Beach location for brunch. We had a prix fixe option that included salad , ( one cauliflower soup ) smoked salmon bagels and dessert. ( key lime pie and pana cotta ) . All well prepared with exception of the soup which appeared had too much flour. The price for all of this was very fair. Two tables had issues with the food. The service was below par. Our waiter was personable but a better conversationist than a waiter. We had to ask for water and coffer refills and the waiter was constantly disappearing. The maître d was pleasant but often not evident, perhaps he is shared with the hotel property in which the restaurant is located.

The interior of Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach looks a lot like the old Cafe Boulud on 76th Street in NYC. However, the outside dining is spectacular and the best ambiance in Palm Beach. I had the lamb loin and the cucumber gazpacho and it was excellent.

This place never disappoints. Café Boulud is located in a quiet area of Palm Beach. The service is friendly and outstanding; the menu selections are varied and amazing in their gorgeous presentation and flavor. The atmosphere is not too formal or too noisy, even with an active and beautiful bar area. Ask to be seated outdoors in their wonderful Fountain Courtyard area. I am always impressed by the timing and attention to detail when we dine - these guys really are the best. It's very classy without being stuffy, my favorite venue for that special occasion when everything must be perfect.

  • Boulud Sud summer "pop-up" is a hit

We went for the summer "pop-up" of Mediterranean-inspired food creations, served on the "enclosed outdoor patio." We ordered the prix-fixe dinners, and even though we were getting a genuine summer-special bargain, the staff treated us royally, no differently than they treated the diners who were ordering a la carte. The food was outstanding. There were four of us around the table, all "foodies," and only two of us (my husband and myself) had been to the restaurant previously. I think they were even more thrilled by the experience than my husband and me, since they had no idea what to expect and we did. In a word: bravo!

We have eaten at the Café Boulud periodically over the past five years, more than twelve times in all. The ambience is great and the decor exceptional. The service is unfailingly outstanding. However, the quality of the food has been mixed, ranging from excellent down to not-so-good. But, when four of us had dinner there this week, the food was simply bad. No one was pleased with their meal. Not even a superb South African wine could compensate.

I enjoyed my visit to Cafe Boulud. The menu and the food were well done and the eclectic choices were all excellent and well prepared, very tantalizing to the taste buds! The paella was unusual in being seasoned with fennel fronds and pieces of fennel. I did miss a bit of the traditional saffron perfumed paella, but he fennel-centric version was delicious as well. All the seafood was perfectly cooked. And the lovely little freebies that came with dessert were really delightful- tiny petite madeleines, warm with their almond scent- Proust would feel right at home! And the service was impeccable. Definitely worth a return visit the next time I am in Palm Beach.
