Diner Reviews
  • "Café Boulud provided the perfect setting for my birthday celebration.as we dined on the air conditioned patio. I started with the oh-so-delicious White Cosmo complete with an orchid frozen in the round ice cube. My first course was the escargot - sumptuous. Followed by the mussels entrée, equally good. My husband enjoyed the snowy grouper entrée and we shared the delicious profiteroles for dessert. A truly memorable meal and evening."

  • "I was excited to try cafe Boulud in palm beach, having experienced the New York, Toronto And Montreal locations......soft orange interior, palm lined exterior garden. The restaurant is cozy, Yet elegant. Service was 5 star. Our waiter new his product...the grouper was perfectly prepared wth All the accoutrements that cafe Boulud is famous for....and yes they serve the warm Madeline's for dessert.... You will not be disappointed...."

  • "Food is excellent and service to match. We all had the chicken liver marrow mousse. Flavors were exquisite. 2 of us had the Boudon Noir. The blood sausage had a beautiful sear on the outside and a wonderful soft inner texture. The cheese boatd dessert was an excellent end to a wonderful meal. Can't wait to dine here agaon soon"

  • "Although we were not in "VIP" room, our dinner could not have been more pleasant. The staff was attentive, and the sommelier was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. We probably would not return on a Saturday night, but will definitely return on a week day night."

  • "We have happily visited Cafe Boulud in NYC and had a magical dinner. We tried their Palm Beach location for brunch. We had a prix fixe option that included salad , ( one cauliflower soup ) smoked salmon bagels and dessert. ( key lime pie and pana cotta ) . All well prepared with exception of the soup which appeared had too much flour. The price for all of this was very fair. Two tables had issues with the food. The service was below par. Our waiter was personable but a better conversationist than a waiter. We had to ask for water and coffer refills and the waiter was constantly disappearing. The maître d was pleasant but often not evident, perhaps he is shared with the hotel property in which the restaurant is located."

  • "The interior of Cafe Boulud in Palm Beach looks a lot like the old Cafe Boulud on 76th Street in NYC. However, the outside dining is spectacular and the best ambiance in Palm Beach. I had the lamb loin and the cucumber gazpacho and it was excellent."

  • "This place never disappoints. Café Boulud is located in a quiet area of Palm Beach. The service is friendly and outstanding; the menu selections are varied and amazing in their gorgeous presentation and flavor. The atmosphere is not too formal or too noisy, even with an active and beautiful bar area. Ask to be seated outdoors in their wonderful Fountain Courtyard area. I am always impressed by the timing and attention to detail when we dine - these guys really are the best. It's very classy without being stuffy, my favorite venue for that special occasion when everything must be perfect."

  • "Beautiful restaurant! The staff is fabulous and very knowledgeable. The main courses were great, we had bison and pig and it was the best meat we have had In a long time! The desserts were interesting. I had a key lime something that was not all that good but my husband had a raspberry something that was amazing! Great place for a romantic date night!"

  • "Cafe Boulud was absolutely superb! We tried the 3-course summer special, and each course was wonderful. We will be back many times before the summer special comes to a close."

  • "We went for the summer "pop-up" of Mediterranean-inspired food creations, served on the "enclosed outdoor patio." We ordered the prix-fixe dinners, and even though we were getting a genuine summer-special bargain, the staff treated us royally, no differently than they treated the diners who were ordering a la carte. The food was outstanding. There were four of us around the table, all "foodies," and only two of us (my husband and myself) had been to the restaurant previously. I think they were even more thrilled by the experience than my husband and me, since they had no idea what to expect and we did. In a word: bravo!"

  • "The 3-course prix fixe lunch offering was an incredible value at $20. The lamb burger was the best I ever had. The gazpacho (not part of the prix fixe menu) was also excellent."

  • "We have eaten at the Café Boulud periodically over the past five years, more than twelve times in all. The ambience is great and the decor exceptional. The service is unfailingly outstanding. However, the quality of the food has been mixed, ranging from excellent down to not-so-good. But, when four of us had dinner there this week, the food was simply bad. No one was pleased with their meal. Not even a superb South African wine could compensate."

  • "Besides great food this place is amazing in the small details. Wine by the glass has limited but good options. Food is delicious.. even in the hot summer in can seat outside since the patio has a/c and is covered with plastic tents"

  • "We had the prix fixe lunch and the choices for the three courses were amazing, making the selection tuff. Everything was delicious!"

  • "I enjoyed my visit to Cafe Boulud. The menu and the food were well done and the eclectic choices were all excellent and well prepared, very tantalizing to the taste buds! The paella was unusual in being seasoned with fennel fronds and pieces of fennel. I did miss a bit of the traditional saffron perfumed paella, but he fennel-centric version was delicious as well. All the seafood was perfectly cooked. And the lovely little freebies that came with dessert were really delightful- tiny petite madeleines, warm with their almond scent- Proust would feel right at home! And the service was impeccable. Definitely worth a return visit the next time I am in Palm Beach."

  • "Food was very old-style "French" -- quite involved recipes, sauces, delicately seasoned. Could be more innovative but still excellent. Except for prix fixe menu which was excellently priced, all other courses were expensive. Beautiful room, attentive and informed staff. Will definitely return."

  • "Miy husband and I enjoyed an outstanding dinner at Cafe Boulud last week. We ordered from the summer prix fixe manu and were overwhelmed by the preparation of the food and the presentation. The Service was also outstanding. And the reisling by the glass was exceptionally good. Highly recomend but I suggest yo make a reservation. PS: the food is outstanding and the deserts are 'to die for!'"

  • "The executive chef is here now since few moths ago. The traditional items are executed flawlessely. in addition, here Creates a variety of specials. One novel technique had been aromatic smoke use, along with several " sous vide" items Very intriguing. Look forward to enjoying more of the already very extensive menu from the best restaurant in Florida."

The service was excellent and very attentive without being over-the-top in your face. A place to experience fine food and service in a very pleasant atmosphere."

  • "The food was excellent. Two of the items ordered were not available, but after a discussion w/ the mgr. they were very apologetic and went out of their way to make up for the disappointment. The terrace was lovely. Would definitely go back."

  • "The atmosphere was romantic, energetic; the food was wonderful & had nothing to envy its big brother in NYC. We had enjoyed Boulud tremendously in NYC & finally had the opportunity to dine here in its Palm Beach counter part. Lush, tropical, secluded, romantic setting & fabulous food to boot. The menus are done like NYC but of course with the local ingredients and it’s a foodie heaven. The wine list is noteworthy & the sommelier was gracious & picked a lovely Pinot Noir that went with my fish dish as well as the pasta dish of the others. The food is so wonderful, creative & beautifully presented. The service was impeccable. If in Palm Beach or special occasion or live in by all means spend the money and enjoy the good life."

  • "We invited my parents and we all loved the hotel where this restaurant is located. We had drinks in the bar first, the service in both places were outstanding. We all liked the food however For example the menu had a Cioppino which was very good but why not have a Bouillabaisse instead or more French traditional cuisine. I would have liked this better. But overall the food, service, ambiance was outstanding and we will definitely come back"

Great wine list and prices for the quality and service we received were great. If I lived in Palm Beach I would be a regular and I will return when we are there next."

  • "Great experience from Daniel Marquez, Brand Ambassador for Wines of Brazil who lectured on the 6 main wine regions.I enjoyed the Don Guerino, Merlot from the Reserve Serra Gaucha 2011 where 85% of Brazilian Wine is produced. The sparkling wines, Casa Valduga 130 and Aurora, Carnaval were superlative. These sparkling wines have been produced for over 100 years in Brazil .Chef Rick Mace presented an exquisite cuisine of Heritage Pork Croquette and Trio of Lamb and Eric Snow's Mango Mousse was a goal winner !! Everyone also was able to pick a winner for the FIFA World Cup to win two bottles of wine. Congratulations for a fine dinning experience Café Boulud"
