Diner Reviews
  • "Food was delicious.....creative. So good yo eat something other than pasta smothered in cheese!"

  • "I had a good time at Blossom. My service was impeccable: swift, polite, not too much hankering but enough checking in. I even finished reading a book there. The cashew sauce pasta I ordered was good. It could have had more salt and more pepper. Just more flavor, any flavor. I love the tomatoes and the sauce but the whole thing as I chewed just lacked any real flavor. Perhaps they could boil the pasta in a broth. I loved my cookie dough milk shake."

  • "I selected Cafe Blossom for a special occasion for both my daughter and son-in-law because they embraced the vegan life. It has been our experience that it is difficult to find restaurants that offer suitable vegan options. Cafe Blossom has a solely dedicated vegan menu with enough options for anyone who enjoys vegetables. The service was very good and attentive. Our server able to explain anything on the menu. The restaurant itself is located in a very vibrant part of the Upper West side. Our experience was relaxed and enjoyable!"

  • "I had reservations for six, but one guest couldn't make it and two more were very late. With these complications, the waitstaff was very helpful. And the food was great! I had the French toast but tried some of the grilled cheese as well - both amazing. Two of our guests were non-vegan - one eats meat - and they loved it. I plan on coming back! Thanks for the great food and service."

  • "I am obsessed with Cafe Blossom. I have never tried a dish that I didn't like. That being said, my absolute favorites are the soy bacon cheeseburger & butterfinger milkshake. Can't go wrong!"

  • "This is a gem of the upper west side. Great menu with tons of choices for vegans. No animal products served at all so vegans are safe to try anything! The Cape Cod Cakes are excellent and be sure to ask what the soup of the day is. There are usually 2 delicious choices. The chocolate cake is phenomenal! Go! Make a reservation -the secret is out so it gets busy."

  • "Had a great experience at Cafe Blossom. My husband and I met another couple there for brunch. They're vegan, and we're not, so we wanted something that would work for everyone. Despite the entire menu being vegan, my husband enjoyed every bite, and he's not very adventurous. He loved the blueberry pancakes, and I was very happy with the Country Breakfast. I would suggest anyone visit this restaurant, as everyone will find something they enjoy."

  • "Visited on a relatively slow Monday evening, with no reservation necessary. The hostess was great and let us choose our preferred seat out of the open tables. Everything served was fantastic. The flavor profile on all the dishes ordered at the table was spot on, and one of the best meals I've had in a while (if not ever!). The only thing that could be improved on was the server, who took a while to greet us and, after taking the check, did not ask if we needed change or bother to thank us on our way out. After we payed it was as if we did not exist."

  • "I found out about this place online. I dined here with my dad. The service was great. Our server was really friendly and helpful. The food came really fast. I got the breaded seitan with caramelized onions, chipotle aiole, and avocado on rosemary foccacia. My dad got the soy bacon cheeseburger. We both loved our meals. And we were really glad we could get our desserts to go, because we were very full. We both got milkshakes. I got dreamsicle, and my dad got butterfinger. Once again, our food was delicious. I would definitely come back, as there were more food I was interested in trying there."

  • "As a new Vegan, I have just begun exploring NYC for restaurants, cafes, etc to try out. This was my first experience and I completely loved it. My partner is not a Vegan and he enjoyed his meal. Good portions, awesome options and great presentation. The juicer was not working that day, which would have been a plus, but I would recommend and go to again."

  • "Love all of the Blossom locations! Had a birthday brunch recently with two non-vegans and they loved it just as much as I did!"

  • "The food is the best vegan food I have had in NYC. The service is wonderful. The ambiance is fair. The tables Are close together and not terribly conducive to lingering, which would be nice, after such an excellent meal."

  • "Wait staff was accommodating and offered suggestions with regard to food sensitivities"

  • "Not being a vegan or even a vegetarian, it is hard for me to recommend a vegan restaurant, however, when my vegan sister in law came to visit from Australia, this was a great place to take her too and she really loved it. The ambience was quite nice, it was very child friendly and I believe a neighbourhood gem for vegan, vegetarians or lovers of such foods in the Upper West Side."

  • "Love eating at Cafe Blossom. There are so many delicious choices for a vegetarian. The mushroom ravioli appetizer is the best!"

  • "Loved this healthy, yummy cafe. Kale salad, daily soups, quinoa salad and fresh juices were all fantastic."

  • "Amazing food. So fresh and delicious. I eat a plant-based/vegan diet and found the food absolutely delicious. My brother, a total carnivore, enjoyed his meal as well. I would totally reccommend this place for vegans, non-vegans, and all those skeptics who think a good meal needs animals - it doesn't! And this place makes you realize that. I had the quinoa salad, sweet potato rolls, and a side of kale. Wonderful."

  • "Took friends from out of town one vegetarian, both foodies. Lived it vegetarian noodle-less lasagna great."

  • "I am personally not vegan, but I love going to cafe blossom! The food is fantastic and all reasonably priced for a restaurant in upper west side Manhattan."

  • "I had lunch here with my seven year old son. I'm a vegan, he's a vegetarian. The kids' menu features soy sticks. Since they are fried, I can't call them healthy, but they are delicious. I found myself wishing they had some version of them on the regular menu. The Caesar salad was delicious. I had the "Bacon Cheeseburger" which was amazingly delicious. Our friend had the BLT, which was also perfect. All of the food that I've had at any of the Blossom restaurants has been amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The spaces are clean and tidy. If you go, don't miss trying the Black Eyed Pea Cakes! They are possibly the most delicious food Blossom offers!"

  • "The food is great; however, the decor wasn't that great. But service was great and friendly."

  • "I wanted to find a restaurant that my vegan friend and I (not vegan) would both enjoy - this was the place! Everything tasted great - a little on the pricey side, but it was well worth it for what we received. I had the vegan bacon cheeseburger. It certainly didn't taste like your normal bacon cheeseburger (obviously), but man, was it good! Also, FANTASTIC shakes."

  • "The stuffed French Toast was out of this world. I am not a fan of vegan cheese, but their Gourmet Grilled Cheese was delicious. I thought $7 for a shake was a bit high--not a NYC resident--but the Butterfinger Shake was like drinking an actual Butterfinger Bar. It was thick, creamy and rich. Even if you can't stop in for a meal, if you are ever craving a shake, I'd highly recommend Blossom be your first choice. Blossom will always be on the top of my list for places to eat when in town, even if I'm not with vegans or vegitarians. it is truly a place where everybody can find something on the menu to satisfy their tastes. The fact that no animals or animal products were used in preparing your meal, is just icing on the cake."

  • "to love Cafe Blossom. I eat at one of these restaurants every time I am in NYC. The food is healthy and delicious and classy. Love the options."

  • "The food is amazing. Every dish is excellent. One of the best vegan restaurants in NYC. The presentation is wonderful, and the service is quick and friendly. Our most recent visit was for Valentine's Day, and the prix fixe menu was excellent. The vegan Tiramisu was the best i ever had. When dining a la carte, it is almost impossible to select a dish that will not be delightful."

  • "Usually I prefer the food at their downtown branch, but the meal was every bit as good this time (comparing like dish with like). The food is outstanding - my favorite veggie restaurant in NYC. Service was efficient, friendly and helpful. Food came out reasonably fast. Noise levels were low even though the restaurant became quite busy."

  • "We were looking for a local place near the natural history museum. While I am not vegetarian the menu looked really good so we chose it. Service was very good, not certain why there are complaints, but for our group very attentive and helpful with the menu. Food was very good, tasteful and interesting."

  • "Blossom is a wonderful special occasion restaurant, but it's also great for brunch/lunch. The food is fabulous. This time I had a dessert that was new to me that is too good to not mention. Get Blossom's tiramisu. You won't regret it!"

  • "very good service... and the food are delicious (and vegan!)"

  • "I really enjoy the food in this place, but the service is just awful. The staff disappear and it is impossible to get any attention during your meal. Our server came to the table to take our order and didn't say a word. He just stood there and looked at us blankly, I'm surprised he didn't throw his pad on the table and ask us to write down our order for him! The restaurant is dull and there his no atmosphere. For what they charge for the food they really need to make more of an effort. I will be giving this place a miss for a while."

  • "I've been a vegetarian for 5 years. And while I can truthfully say the food was great, this place is boring. The ambience is lacking. Eating here felt like I was in classroom with the painting on the walls and lack of unique music."
    Dined on 1/25/2014
  • "I went to Blossom for my favorite dish, which is gone from the menu and which they should bring back - it had shoe string potato fries. My meal was okay as was my partner's. The best part was the service and the chocolate cake for dessert."
    Dined on 1/24/2014
  • "Lots of different options on the menu with a variety of flavors. I would recommend the black eyed pea cakes for an app, lasagna for the entree, and chocolate cake for dessert. Service is a little slow but overall good."

  • "The food was good, but a little spicy for the under-6 set. But we think it is definitely kid-friendly."

  • "Make no mistake about it: it is a vegan restaurant with a tasty food. Soups and mushroom dishes are a must. Great organic beers as well."
