  • "We've always made reservations here and have always waited past our reservation time to be seated, it's not a bad thing, just know to expect it. It's a happening place on weekends in particular. The $2 corkage fee is a steal - so bring your own bottle of wine. The wine they have there is great too but we prefer to bring our own. The food is always amazing and I always clean my plate. Try the fried asparagus!!"

  • "We have dined at many of the Cafe Bizou Restaurants over the years. The food is consistently good and the value is good as well. If you like to imbibe in some wine with your dinner, the $2.00 corkage is an added plus!! Whether you are a couple or larger group, the service is always attentive. Some favorites include the Lobster Bisque, any of the Steak entrees, the Scallops and definitely leave room for the Bread Pudding or Warm Chocolate Cake."

  • "In the 20+ years that I have been going to this venue, the food, ambiance (though, on occasion, very crowded) and service have always been "outstanding!" Worth the commute from the West Valley; can't beat the $2 corkage; and the service is quick and attentive. The menu has a variety of different entrees, yet the appetizers are extremely delectable, as well, which makes choosing between one entree and several appetizers very, very difficult. And the $1 salad... can't beat it. A must visit (at least once a month) in my book."

  • "I love this place, but this last time I was disappointed. I mentioned it to my waiter, so I blame him right now more than the restaurant. I have been going for a long long time(19 years), an have tried many items on the menu. My fav right now is the Ahi tuna, but this last time it was thin like a skirt steak. A piece that is best for an appetizer. I mentioned this to the waiter and he Didnt change it, instead told me next time to ask for a different cut. Didnt appreciate that the waiter tried to teach me a lesson and when I complained again at the end he offered a free desert in which he never brought because he said the kitchen closed. Seriously ? 2 times I had to complain to be heard, then teased w a fake desert offer-"

  • "This is a great restaurant in all respects. Menu is reasonably priced and the food is superlative. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The owner/manager is on scene and choreographs the seating and staff response like a true master. The bar is a welcome start to the evening and the slight wait for a table. This is one of our "go to places" and a certain stop when guests are visiting, We have used their private room for a special occasion and the they were very helpful in developing a special menu for the occasion. Their efforts made the gathering even better."

  • "I've been here numerous times, and the food and service doesn't dissapoint. I had the Ahi salad. The Ahi was prepared just right, the ginger added a pleasant zing, and the salad was very tasty. I was very happy with my choice. My friend had one of the salmon dishes. The presentation was very inviting, and she loved the fish. Our server was very pleasant and attentive, yet unobtrusive. We came in a little before the big lunch crowd, and the place was comfortably quiet. We were two friends catching up with each other, and the setting was perfect. I'll continue bringing guests to lunch and dinner here because the food and service are always consistently good."

  • "so, for a second choice - the bloody mary's were perfect! crab cakes - very good, but for us a touch over on the salt. the grilled shrimp salad - deelish! the ny steak salad - deelish! oh, and the calamari to start - deelish! and to complete the meal - they saw it was a birthday and brought us the most delectable flourless chocolate cake! i don't eat sweets often but it was my birthday. not only did i have one bite - i helped finish it! (i wonder if they brought that to me since they were out of the champagne?) (i wonder if they brought that to me since they could see my mom is over 90??) whatever the reason - deelish!"

  • "We have probably been to this restaurant 50 times over the years. it is always good. The menu doesn't change much but it doesn't need to as all the dishes are delicious. In fact it's hard to settle on one thing to order. The crowded waiting area can be somewhat disconcerting but somehow the manager keeps track of everyone's reservation."

  • "This restaurant has been around for a long time, and once you eat there, you know why..... The food is delicious, dependable dishes, nice variety and good selection from appetizers/salads to entrée and desserts. Their corkage fee is the most reasonable I have seen in any restaurant-$2 (Two!). Its nice to give patrons the options of enjoying their own wine, without paying 2-3 times the real value of a bottle of wine...I had a fresh pear salad to start with, and the Ahi tuna main dish, which was seared and served on a bed of spinach. My friends enjoyed their Monk fish dish. Note they offer a soup of the day for an additional buck, when you order an entrée, or two bucks for a green salad. All and all a great and affordable experience."

Talking about buzzy: when we were there there was a baby shower and a wedding or rehearsal dinner. Lots of female diners and JUST ONE SINGLE RESTROOM! Can you imagine a couple of pregnant ladies needing to go often. For the rest: it was pleasurable."

  • "The waitress was fabulous! The food good as usual. The $2.00 corkage fantastic! The reservation available on time. The only complaint (and this is the 2nd time it happened)...I was meeting friends and both times the host seated us separately, not paying attention that one of the party had already checked in and was seated. The one time was kind of comical, my friend called my cell and told me where she was seated...I looked over my shoulder at a hard right angle and she was seated behind me in the other room."

  • "This time my husband and I decided to try the sesame-coated salmon served on potato pancakes -- not your grandmother's latkes, but still good with the moist flavorful salmon. Our friends stuck with the pasta with squid ink and lots of chunks of seafood, which they enjoyed. We shared an app for the table and brought our own wine (corkage is still wonderfully $2 per bottle). It was a lovely evening and affordable evening, and Bizou in Sherman Oaks remains one of our top picks and a great place to meet friends from the other side of the hill."

  • "I've eaten at Cafe Bizou many, many times, and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal, nor a bad experience. Everyone seems dedicated to making the experience an outstanding one. The food is delicious and plentiful, without an enormous price. This trip, I had the Steak, Lamb and Chicken combo. Everything was perfectly cooked as I requested, the presentation was very nice, and the accompanying potatoes and vegetables were also quite good--not mushy or overdone. Go there--you won't be disappointed. It was my Wife's birthday, and the complimentary dessert was very good, and enjoyed by all of us."
