I ordered flowers to be delivered and when we arrived for our dinner, the waiter gave me a knowing wink and after seating us bought over the flowers to our table and to my surprised wife. The staff was very attentive during our entire meal and the food was just spectacular. The food is consistently wonderful and the homemade deserts are just a delight; obviously house made and not from the pre-made-restaurant-frozen-desert-factory that churns out one cloyingly sweet confection after another. However, if you don't, they also have other menu items like salmon and steak. Enjoyed the German wine and my husband enjoyed the German beer. The chef makes the German traditional dishes as one would expect them. No surprises there, but the specials are where the chef shines. I had the salmon special. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was light and flavorful. Service is always consistent. The ambiance is dated, but the place is very clean...something important in restaurants. Staff were great , friendly, helpful an knowledgable about the menu and beer / wine list. Inside decor could do with a little updating, but I can easily over look that for the cosy atmosphere, good service , great food and beer. Basically its good home cooked German food, comforting and filling served with a great choice of wine or beer at a very reasonably price. If you visit you simply HAVE to have one of the great beers on offer, you won't be disappointed.
Outside is a beer garden which I should imagine on a summers days a great place to sit with a tankard or two.
