Been there and received bad service on first visit - figured it was a one time thing. 2nd trip was worse! Service is lacking. Good food, but very overpriced...and the servers need a lot of training in speed, efficiency and getting basic items to the table like sugar for coffee perhaps?... a spoon for the sugar would also make logical sense...Would not go back.

My friend and I didn't stay. Our breakfast would have cost us $25 - 30 each, not including coffee, and there was nothing extra special to warrant that exorbitant price. Nice patio, but for $10 we had a beautiful, hot crepe, sitting outdoors at the market.

We looked forward to the hidden gem to celebrate a 6oth B'day. The restaurant called to confirm. When I spoke to the restaurant, I made them aware of the special event. On 8/11, it was very humid and we were surprised that there was no A/C in the restaurant and after asking the servers to turn on their ceiling fans, nothing was done. Also, we were served room temperature H20. We got some ice. The alcoholic drinks were nice as they were cold and very tasty. The "Special of the Day" Fish entrée was enjoyable as was the Perch-based Fish & Chips. The Elk Schnitzel @$31 was good but over-priced. There were only 4 guests in the indoor part of the restaurant and maybe 10 in the courtyard having dinner. Service was courteous but very slow.

There's something telling about a restaurant when their server can't answer questions about their menu, and then refuses to walk over to place your meal in front of you. None of the servers smiled not interacted with one another let alone with the customers. Then the manager-chef tried to explain over why the Muesli looked like oatmeal by saying it was a "plethora of ingredients", Really? Still no smiles. In fact, long faces all round...slippery slope, downhill the rest of the meal. Brad Long, is Monsoon a hard act to follow? We were extremely disappointed. You need new staff!

Here for brunch. While the service was a bit slow/awkward (we think the server was inexperienced), the food was fantastic and the Evergreen Brickworks is a wonderful setting. If you go on the w/end, you can peruse the farmers market and go for a nice stroll through the grounds. There is a really neat garden store within as well.

We've dined here repeatedly, always enjoying both the food and the service. This last visit, however, left something to be desired. While the cuisine, when it finally appeared, was well-prepared and interesting, it took forever. And this was on a quiet Monday evening, when they were the opposite of slammed. The server was just barely competent, cocktails took close to a half-hour to come out, the meal was even slower. Now, we are not speedy diners, and enjoy a drawn-out meal, of course. But this was pushing the concept beyond any meaningful worth.

Way over-priced for quality of food. Unsure about the claim to have 1 & 1/2 Oz of Vodka in the small $9 Caesars. I regularly drink single shot Caesars that taste of more vodka. $85 without tip for two brunch items and two Caesars. Price would be ok if food was presented to a much higher standard. Eggs Be had overdone poached eggs and tough chewy pork. Pulled pork pancake was much nicer. Wish I'd had the soup and a side order. The Mac n Cheese side looked nice. Servers were deserving of their tip and no complaints about the service.

Food is terrific. Tastes are delicious. Menu is mercifully brief with wide enough choice to meet most palates. Service is not fast so go with expectation of a measured pace of attention. Wine list is short but good. Wine by the glass is well priced and good selection. Much enjoyed the setting; tranquil and green. Hard to believe we were in the middle of a big noisy city. Definitely will go back.

The food was super, the setting was lovely. My only complaint was the main course took a bit too long to be served. The outdoor patio was a great place to sit on a warm summer evening but no for the big pile of dirt which I hope they turn into a garden real soon! Otherwise, a really nice waiter, conversational and informative about both the wine and the food. Overall I'm going to tell everyone to go!

Sadly, although the wait staff was very pleasant and accomodating, the meal took 1 hour and 15 minutes to arrive. The kitchen is too small and there are many tables, so this frustrated the arrival of the food. This is far too long to wait for a meal - especially brunch. The wait staff said this is typical and happens often. This really needs improvement as people will not come back with a wait for a meal that long.

My colleague was in town from Atlanta, with only a few hours to spare before his flight back. He'd been cooped up in a conference room. I couldn't imagine a better spot than Evergreen to first walk around then enjoy the fine weather on the patio for lunch. Our server was outstanding, and the cafe easily accommodated his celiac disease as well as a food intolerance of mine. Too bad the restaurant was out of the pork dish, but we both enjoyed our lunch very much. I'll bet he'll want to go back on his next business trip here! And I'll be taking other visitors to enjoy Evergreen and the Cafe.

We went at the end of a very warm day and the inside part of the restaurant was stiflingly hot. So we sat outside, which was fine. Service was very friendly and well-intentioned but excruciatingly slow. The perch was tasteless and elk was nothing special, which was appalling, given the hefty prices. My son thought the fiddlehead soup was really good, though. They have some work to do.

This restaurant is mostly about location- it's very unique nature surrounded environment makes it worth the somewhat higher prices. The service is friendly but as other people have mentioned, they don't allow you to pick your own table for some reason. We were denied our table of choice although up until we left no one was seated there. The food was very good, we would go back since dining at the Brickworks is a total destination experience- a great place to bring out of town visitors by the way!

Chef Brad Long came to speak with us regarding the various dietary restrictions and allergies at the table. Although a couple of dishes were incorrect, the problem was rectified quickly and they took the items off the bill as well as prepared a delicious chocolate dessert for the table on the house. We wanted to dine on Mother's Day and were offered 4-30 pm time slot. When we arrived we were offered the brunch menu; pancakes, oatmeal, eggs etc. when I asked for the dinner menu I was told we could not...if we sat and had a drink it would have been 5pm by the time that occurred, then we could have. The lack of flexibility when the kitchen was clearly readying for dinner was unappealing. Clearly this place is not about the customer.

I made reservations for Mother's Day at 3.45, thinking that dinner menu would be available (has more choices) at 4m, as indicated on website. We find out when we arrive that chef decided to extend it 5pm therefore only brunch menu was available. Our reserved table was by the window and in the sun. No window shades and it was hot with afternoon sun. Even when requested several times and the table behind was vacant, they could not change our table. So it was uncomfortable. Goat cheese cheesecake was wonderful and the Moosehead summer bear very refreshing. I found the prices too high for a regular return trip but may consider it again for light refreshments, if a table found in the shade in an afternoon.

The food was fantastic, as it has been each time we've gone. And for the most part the service was good too. However we had to wait for our table even though we'd made an open table reservation, about 20 minutes. They had the reservation but their seating seating plans were in a disarray. Once seated our service was quite good. But getting seated wasnt good.

I had St Lawrence salad as Brussels Sprouts salad was not available and Elk Schnitzel. I loved St Lawrence salad! It had nuts, greens, cheese.. basically everything. Dressing was delicious even though I'm not a big fan of dressings. Elk Schnitzel, on the other hand, was a bit disappointing. It was tougher than I had expected. I don't know it was elk or if it was cooking. Canadian red we had was very good. Overall, we had a good time.

Great food! We had Easter Brunch there, but unfortunately, no rabbit was on the menu. The pancakes, pulled pork, and eggs B were all fantastic. The pancakes were fluffy, the pulled pork was succulent, and the eggs B was amaze balls on the house made biscuits. Beware portion sizes are quite large though (that's not really a bad thing). Also the coffee was delectable, with awesome service. No complaints at all about the experience.

Music just right, service freindly and attentive. All dishes were good, whilst 2, the bracciolli and squid ink pasta were very good. Interesting wine list , we ran out of room for dessert.
