We are a favorite place on Google. We are a 2010 recommended business by D Magazine. The Dallas Morning News and The Dallas Observer both gave us good ratings. We also received a good rating from Plano Profile Magazine and on the Pegasus news website.

  • "Looking for an elegant spot with simply outstanding French cuisine in Far North Dallas? Look no further than Cadot. Arriving, I was impressed to find diners engaged in warm conversations. So often, restaurants cater to the younger crowd who need extreme stimulation and venue noise seems to be one source for satisfactory stimuli. At Cadot, the food stood out, while the serene environment supported a fine dining experience. The tables were comfortably spaced and diners had privacy for conversation while enjoying exquisite plates. We loved the foie gras with a nice cold Sauterne and mussels to start. The Coq au vin was definitive. Other than the first trout topper being a wee bit salty, it was a superlative meal. We will return soon!"

  • "Food was good, though perhaps a bit overpriced. Service had opportunities, with many missteps: waiter barely spoke english, wine spilled when pouring, stained menus, wine glasses left on the table way after the "we're just having cocktails moment (the tables are small BTW)," took a long time to take our order (leaving the menus in the way...again, tiny tables), appetizers were cold, drink order was wrong. Based on some other reviews, I was really hoping that this place would be deep in the "neighborhood gem" category, but it just didn't quite make it. Plus side: they did put a candle in the dessert (friend's birthday) without prompting. Also, don't miss the apple tart/streudel thing, that was the best I have ever had."

To make it worse, it seemed that our waiter was doing us a favor to wait on us and was inattentive and curt with his service. We will not return."

  • "First time at Cadot. Typically when we are in the mood for French we go to Lavendou, where we always have had good meals. But decided to try something different. Cadot has a bit larger menu and the food was very good. Nice interior, seemed busy for mid week. Service was very good although food did come a bit quickly."

  • "We live near Cadot. When we first saw it open, we gave it a try. Since then, about 4 years ago, we have eaten there about 20 times. We have never been disappointed. Chef Jean Marie does a consistently fabulous job, his food is delicious, beautifully presented, and well priced. There"s a wide range of wine by the glass, the wait staff are polite and well trained. The atmosphere is sophisticated but relaxed. We bring all our out of town guests to dine at Cadot and they love it too. We are lucky to have Cadot in our neighborhood. Last time, I had the venison with chestnut puree, awesome! The desserts are very fine, in the european tradition, not too sweet. Profiteroles, YUM!"

  • "Tried to go here before on a Sunday - ooops, they're closed on Sundays. Glad we tried again. My sea bass with squash and gnocchi was amazing and husband loved his hanger steak. Both of us loved the chocolate souffle. Very attentive service - when he wasn't sure about the wine, he checked instead of bluffing. We put Cadot's in our top ten meals in Dallas area (top five for me). Talked to friends immediately afterward and decided we'd all go back so they can see what the fuss is about. Any excuse to return."

  • "The food was terrific and service wonderful! You could easily fill up on the wonderful bread and butter. We started with the escargot and onion soup. The escargot was tender and tasty served in the creamy garlic sauce- (although I still prefer the traditional garlic and butter sauce). The onion soup was perfect. Then we had the Rack of Lamb and the Veal Scallopini. The rack of lamb was good and cooked perfectly to order- although perhaps a bit bland. The Veal Scallopini was fantastic and the plate was licked clean. We finished off by sharing a creme brulee and coffee which was a little bit of heaven."
