Dallas Observer both gave us good ratings. We also received a good rating from Plano Profile Magazine and on the Pegasus news website.

Another outstanding evening with
great food and service!"

We made a last minute reservation
and opted to sit on the patio. Our waiter, Benjamin, provided excellent service and recomendations. We always enjoy Cadot and this experience will get us back sooner. The seafood entrees are our favorites."

This restaurant is our "go-to
restaurant" when we want a dependably delicious meal in a place that is more upscale than the average restaurant and has a nice ambience. The food is always good, the service is great, and we always return!"

Looking for an elegant spot with
simply outstanding French cuisine in Far North Dallas? Look no further than Cadot. Arriving, I was impressed to find diners engaged in warm conversations. So often, restaurants cater to the younger crowd who need extreme stimulation and venue noise seems to be one source for satisfactory stimuli. At Cadot, the food stood out, while the serene environment supported a fine dining experience. The tables were comfortably spaced and diners had privacy for conversation while enjoying exquisite plates. We loved the foie gras with a nice cold Sauterne and mussels to start. The Coq au vin was definitive. Other than the first trout topper being a wee bit salty, it was a superlative meal. We will return soon!"

Food was good, though perhaps a
bit overpriced. Service had opportunities, with many missteps: waiter barely spoke english, wine spilled when pouring, stained menus, wine glasses left on the table way after the "we're just having cocktails moment (the tables are small BTW)," took a long time to take our order (leaving the menus in the way...again, tiny tables), appetizers were cold, drink order was wrong. Based on some other reviews, I was really hoping that this place would be deep in the "neighborhood gem" category, but it just didn't quite make it. Plus side: they did put a candle in the dessert (friend's birthday) without prompting. Also, don't miss the apple tart/streudel thing, that was the best I have ever had."

Cadot is one of our favorites.
Great gourmet food, friendly and efficient service. If it were in downtown Dallas, it would be overrun with people. A gem."
Dined on 3/13/2014
The food at Cadot's is so fresh,
seasoned to perfection and delectable. We have been there several times after being introduced to it this past summer. Every time we have been impressed again and again."
Dined on 3/8/2014
Excelllent Restaurant! One of the
best French restaurants in Dallas. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Monsieur Jean-Marie Cadot is a master chef and his dishes are out of this world."

I have been to this restaurant
several times over the last 4 years and has been excellent but the meal served to my guest and me was mediocre at best. . To make it worse, it seemed that our waiter was doing us a favor to wait on us and was inattentive and curt with his service. We will not return."
Dined on 2/25/2014
Staff was pleasant, though seemed
flustered at times, not as smooth as you might expect, but always pleasant and helpful. Food was truly wonderful. Full of rich simplicity of flavors. Definitely a place to return to again and again."
Dined on 2/14/2014
The food here is truly amazing!
Every time we dine here we walk away so happy. Just too ibcredible to describe. You just have to try it."
Dined on 2/13/2014
My wife and I went to Cadot for
Valentine's Day and left the restaurant very impressed. Service was exceptional and the food was great. Since it was Valentine's Day, there was a set menu. However, the items on the menu were very tasty. We look forward to going back and trying their full menu."

First time at Cadot. Typically
when we are in the mood for French we go to Lavendou, where we always have had good meals. But decided to try something different. Cadot has a bit larger menu and the food was very good. Nice interior, seemed busy for mid week. Service was very good although food did come a bit quickly."

We live near Cadot. When we first
saw it open, we gave it a try. Since then, about 4 years ago, we have eaten there about 20 times. We have never been disappointed. Chef Jean Marie does a consistently fabulous job, his food is delicious, beautifully presented, and well priced. There"s a wide range of wine by the glass, the wait staff are polite and well trained. The atmosphere is sophisticated but relaxed. We bring all our out of town guests to dine at Cadot and they love it too. We are lucky to have Cadot in our neighborhood. Last time, I had the venison with chestnut puree, awesome! The desserts are very fine, in the european tradition, not too sweet. Profiteroles, YUM!"

Fantastic French cuisine! We love
Cadot, from the bar, to the wine list to the food to the amazing desserts... everything is always excellent!"
Dined on 1/23/2014
So many choices, it was hard to
decide. But I went for the Mussels in cream sauce, to die for. Next time I must try the Croque Monsieur! Excellent service, great food."
Dined on 1/27/2014
Great place for just the two of
you, or for entertaining friends of customers. Great food. Very good service."
Dined on 1/25/2014
Tried to go here before on a
Sunday - ooops, they're closed on Sundays. Glad we tried again. My sea bass with squash and gnocchi was amazing and husband loved his hanger steak. Both of us loved the chocolate souffle. Very attentive service - when he wasn't sure about the wine, he checked instead of bluffing. We put Cadot's in our top ten meals in Dallas area (top five for me). Talked to friends immediately afterward and decided we'd all go back so they can see what the fuss is about. Any excuse to return."
Dined on 1/18/2014
We go to Cadot for my husband's
birthday so he can have the Dover Sole. It is always delicious and perfectly cooked. The soups are delicious and so are the soufflés!"
Dined on 1/18/2014
We have a lot of good French
restaurants we like to frequent, so we have never tried this one. Quick inspection of menu told us 12 desserts! There were a lot of good items in special as well as regular menu. Service was excellent and the location is convenient. Can't wait to go back!"
Dined on 1/18/2014
My lobster ravioli was delicious!
I'd order a soup or something with it as there are only 3 ravioli's that come with it. Waiter was on top of things. We were meeting for business and most of the crowd around us were the Ladies who Lunch scene. We split a chocolate lava cake and it was yummy!"
Dined on 1/15/2014
We didn't know this wonderful
place existed until we needed to find a location to celebrate our anniversary. Truly a gem. The waitstaff was fantastic and attentive. The food was perfect! We tried it all from the crab cake appetizers through the souffle for dessert. We will definitely be back."

This was our fifth time to dine at
Cadot. This year, our party of five dined on Christmas Eve and we could not have been more pleased. The service was very good, the food wonderful and we never felt rushed to turn the table. My husband and I definitely recommend Cadot."
Dined on 12/24/2013
An enjoyable meal on a busy
holiday evening. Jamie did a great job, making us feel at home and not rushed, a difficult feat on so busy a night. Wonderful creme brûlée!"
Dined on 12/24/2013
Special place that is always good.
Jean Marie does an excellent job."
Dined on 12/20/2013
The dinner was great, especially
the Sea Bass. The restaurant had to close the previous weekend because of the ice storm. Because of the closing, the restaurant was filled to capacity, and even though it was a week later, they Cadot staff helped us celebrate our Anniversary Dinner."

Love going to Cadot
...........although business was extremely busy ---- nearing the Holidays .....service was a little slow -- but not at all to the point of not being tending to ....... Great food .....xoxo"
Dined on 12/13/2013
What a wonderful ambiance for a
great meal and service. Definitely a repeater and easy to recommend to a friend. Easy to park as well."
Dined on 12/4/2013
A great menu, outstanding service.
Maybe a tad bit pricey though."
Dined on 11/28/2013
We had cocktails, two courses and
coffee. Elapsed time was 1 hour and 15 minutes. This felt a bit rushed. The food was excellent and we would come back."
Dined on 11/23/2013
Cadot's is one of our favorite
restaurants. We have never had a bad meal there. I strongly recommend it as one of the best restaurants in Dallas."
Dined on 11/16/2013
You will always have your
tastebuds satisfied by Jean Marie Cadot's cuisine. I have never had a bad meal there. He has a delicious Ceasar salad dressing, the soups are wonderful, and whatever entree you select you will want to have it again. Don't forget to save room for any of the desserts. My wife and I love the chocolate Lava cake, but the apple tart is wonderful too."
Dined on 10/30/2013
We found this as a recommendation
by a professional food taster. It was wonderful. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The restaurant was quiet enough so we could talk easily without shouting. Loved the bread! The ambiance was good. Pretty decor. We were celebrating an event. The restaurant provided a celebratory dessert. Very nice. Thanks. The pricing was reasonable. We will be back next time we are in Dallas."
Dined on 10/28/2013
Wonderful dinner - service was
very attentive. Met with a group of friends and had a lovely evening. Noise level was moderate so we were able to catch up on old times. Will be back!!!"
Dined on 10/25/2013
Wonderful service and great food
in a lovely and welcoming environment. Cadot never fails to deliver a lovely meal and evening."
Dined on 10/22/2013
Cadot has a fantastic menu with
great value in all courses. The cuisine is a blend of French and Continental prepared under the careful guidance of Jean Marie Cadot with interesting touches that take his food from ordinary to extraordinary. The service is first class, and whether you choose the formal dining areas, the outdoor patio or the bar scene, you will have a memorable experience."
Dined on 10/18/2013
The food was terrific and service
wonderful! You could easily fill up on the wonderful bread and butter. We started with the escargot and onion soup. The escargot was tender and tasty served in the creamy garlic sauce- (although I still prefer the traditional garlic and butter sauce). The onion soup was perfect. Then we had the Rack of Lamb and the Veal Scallopini. The rack of lamb was good and cooked perfectly to order- although perhaps a bit bland. The Veal Scallopini was fantastic and the plate was licked clean. We finished off by sharing a creme brulee and coffee which was a little bit of heaven."
Dined on 10/12/2013
Fine food, owner/chef friendly and
welcoming. Fun evening, go try for yourself, you'll be glad you did."
Dined on 10/11/2013
The food and service are both
excellent! Best French food in dallas!!"
Dined on 9/10/2013
Thank you to Ramon for great
service! I enjoyed the after dinner coffee he made up for me special! It was just what I wanted. The potato gnocchi was great and I appreciated having vegetarian options on the menu. My husband and I enjoyed the souffle' we had for dessert also. Thanks!"
