While in Dallas on a business trip, we made reservations at The Ranch at Las Colinas primarily because of the location. Now - it is on my short list of favorite restaurants - anywhere. The food was memorable for all the right reasons - especially their prime rib. And, considering I am a 4th generation rancher's daughter, that says a lot about the quality of the meat they source from local ranches. The service did not disappoint either - we had no less than 4 different waiters/managers checking in on us - yet they did it in a manner that was not intrusive to our dinner experience or conversation. That balance is not easy to achieve. Overall - they get an A+.

I have been going to Cadillac Ranch aka The Ranch for years. It has become a major health concern to eat grass fed only beef that's raised and finished. And the pork no hormones, antibiotics naturally raised. I have been under the delusion that this restaurant was all local Texas born and feed and based on information from several of the wait staff was told: no worries about any of our food all is natural and all beef grass fed and finished. So disappointing to find it is not. In all fairness the menu actually says PNB beef grained fed. The two PNB filets ARE grass fed and finished. Everything else is grain fed. This is assuming the latest info received is accurate.

The wine list is extremely overpriced by the bottle. That could be the reason bottles were half price. Two filets at our table were not cooked to the correct temperature and sent back. They looked terrible when they were brought back to the table. One entre came with the wrong side dish. The shrimp on the dinner special were overcooked. Not impressed at all...

We had the smoked fried chicken which was absolutely unbelievable. It actually had a smoke flavor and the meat was so moist , it melted in your mouth. The pork chops were huge and flavorful. Their vegetables were all fresh and so uniquely flavored and cooked, they should write a cookbook. Mandy was our server and truly the best. We couldn't be more pleased. Looking forward to coming back again very soon!

I reserved a tabl through open table and noted it was a birthday occasion. When I arrived i was seated at a booth instead of a table. There aren't a lot of tables only for very large groups. That was the only thing that bothered me all night. Servive was fine and food was okay.

Been here multiple times and the food and service has been outstanding each time. This trip was brought down a little by our table being directly next to a 12 - 15 member wedding shower party which was a little loud so we had difficulty hearing each other and the server.

Menu selection is fairly unique and locally sourced. Everything I ate was very good and struck me as very fresh. Ambience could be a little better particularly the noise level but I was sitting near a large party that probably contributed to that. Wait staff is very friendly and professional. They do try and up-sell and recommend dishes.

While the food and service were great (best Prime Rib I've had in a long time) - I specifically requested a table in an area with less noise to conduct business - The entire resaurant was overly loud to the point you almost had to shout across the table. Needless to say our discussions were curtailed because of the lack of an environment where business could be conducted. I would not consider this a place to conduct business or for a romantic evening.

A truly remarkable experience every time! I love taking out of town guests to The Ranch as it guarantees a WOW factor. Server Patrick helped and supported a slight menu deviation and journey to a special whole food, plant-based extraordinary meal. He even added the order and my name to 'the system' for future reference and ease of ordering.

I was with 3 friends and was looking for a steak. Did an online search and found this place. It had good reviews, but I had never heard about it. We were pleasantly surprised. The food and service were great! I ate too much! Had the New Your Strip and the flavor was spot on and preparation was perfect. There were so many great looking things on the menu, I'll have to go back.

I was pleasantly surprised by the wine selection. It is difficult to find great wines at moderately-priced restaurants but there was a good selection here. The food is mostly locally sourced which is great. The menu had a wide variety of choices with a Texas theme throughout. My companion and I had the same entrée (the baby back ribs) and those were very good, with a side of BBQ sauce that had a pleasant kick to it. Appetizers and salads were very good too. The staff was friendly, talkative, and visited the table with pleasing frequency. The only negative was that the noise level was too high for a dinner experience. There were times I could not hear my companion sitting across from me. Otherwise, the ambience was pleasant.

The Ranch provides a good atmosphere for entertaining clients and coworkers. I do wish that more vegetables were offered with the entrees. The plate contents are shades of brown. It would be nice to offset this with some green vegetables. My dinner guest offered me the broccolini from her plate. It was tough and stringy. The website menu says the herb grilled split farm bird comes with charred tomatoes and oven roasted potatoes. But my order was served with potato hash. When I inquired about this to the waiter, he showed me the restaurant menu lists potato hash. It tasted like peppery potato glop. I won't order that again. I'll stick with a burger. The tea was excellent.

We couldn't have had a nicer time. I visited The Ranch for lunch with a colleague and what a great place to dine. The atmosphere is just perfect. The staff and management team were so attentive to our needs. Oh my goodness and the cornbread is awesome. If you've never tried it, you should cheat a little the next time you visit. It is just the best. The only thing I wish is that they would go back and serve it in the old style directly from the good old iron skillet. It's just a wonderful the way it is served now as a muffin style but there's just something to serving it sliced from an iron skillet. Additionally, it keeps is much warmer. Love it, love it, love it. Great place. You should try it for lunch or dinner!

Food ok. We had a group of 6 for a later searing ( 8:45) following an alumni event. We had a warm welcome and were seated promptly. I felt the server sensed an expense account dinner was very aggressive in pushing the extra. Like high end starters and a magnum if wine. We did buy a a few bottles. He offered to decant the first. Problem was, it really was not a decanter. But a device that made it easy to pour it. Frankly... The service was insulting.

We were visiting Irving for a Musical and stopped by for an early dinner. I use to work in the Urban Towers so I had been here before. We live in West Plano so we have local access to Mexican Sugar and Whiskey Cake (Same owner group I believe). Those are EXCELLENT and current Plano Hot-Hot Spots! Wish we had a "The Ranch" in Plano...hint-hint. Its almost worth the drive :)

I used to just love to bring my customers to the Ranch; however, the last couple of times I have not been too impressed by the quality of the food. There was no love in my fall back favorite! And to make matters worse there was no inspiration to be had on the menu... Come on people you started out fantastic and the atmosphere is still there but even the simple stuff like the flatbread with goat cheese was bland and lacking flavor. It is pretty sad when goat cheese is in the name of the item and you can barely find the cheese.

This is one of the best locations in Las Colinas I have found. For ages my gf and I have complained there's no local, non-chain restaurant that serves good food and drink for a nice dinner. Little did I know this was hiding behind taco diner off the hwy. The food is great Texas style locally sourced with healthy servings to make up for their $25+ price point. Drinks are a bit pricy to me but are great quality so I can't be too upset. Happy hour seems like a home run though we missed it on our first visit. I will be coming back. That is for sure.

The buffalo burger was juicy and tender, which is not an easy thing pull off with such lean meat. It probably helped that I ordered mine medium. Was duly impressed by the accompanying fries, which were hand-cut and fried fresh. My husband's catfish was similarly fresh with a crispy, seasoned cornmeal batter that took me back to the fish fries of my childhood :-) Should have made a note of our server's name because she was OUTSTANDING, and she mentioned she'd been there for years--hard to keep good staff in a restaurant, so that must mean good management. Almost forgot to mention that the craft cocktails are out of this world, albeit pricey, but that's just the cost of a craft cocktail in Big D. Will go back!
