  • "Great experience, great food, great service! Will definitely go again. Great choices of small plates and large. Catfish sliders were awesome, the crust was the best ever! Homemade chips with a horseradish side sauce were unbelievably good! Wife had a great salad, and 1/2 grill cheese with absolutley yummy tomato soup that had a little "bite" to it. Grilled cheese was wonderful as well. Great choice of beers and wine. Backside of restaurant with open "garage doors" was great! Happened to be a beautiful day and open air was nice! Our server was great! Wish I remembered her name. She was funny, witty, and wonderful! She had a horseshoe tatt on the back of one arm. Give her a raise! :-)"

  • "Made a reservation for Cabana for a bachelorette party. The food was absolutely amazing, and the cabana was awesome!! The waiter brought our checks and we all paid and continued to finish our drinks. Out of NO WHERE, the hostess whips open our curtain and starts aggressively grabbing our glasses, silverware, plates, without saying one word and leaves. Once she left, the waiter came forward and politely said "No need to rush, but we had a reservation for this Cabana at 9." IT WAS 9:30! And this was the FIRST we heard this. We had NO idea. We quickly finished our drinks and left, but we were APPALLED by the behavior of the hostess. She definitely handled the situation wrong. Very unprofessional behavior."

  • "Pros: Seems like a fantastic place to grab a happy hour brew outside on a nice warm day after work. I would suggest you do this with either the fried alligator bites or bison sliders from the small plates menu. Cons: Confusion begins with even finding the entrance, staff/hostess/waiters/waitresses seem non-existent, inattentive and somewhat unprofessional, bar smells like cleaning chemicals [understandable, but also overwhelming], prices on small plate menu do not match quality of food, food presentation is poor. Overall rating = C-. Fries = cold and moist Alligator = great Bison sliders = great Sweet potato biscuits w/ peach reserve = mediocre Catfish sliders = mediocre"

  • "We were on a college visit with our son. It was a great place to see young people having fun. There was a fraternity and sorority swap which made it a little louder than usual but good for him!! We are from Birmingham and ran into to different daughters of friends of our who live in Nashville. Small world. We have great restaurants in Birmingham so I am spoiled. I loved the Cabana!"

  • "The wasabi shrimp, great. Apple cobbler, great. Drink refill timing, not good especially sitting next to the bar and eating spicy food. The rainbow trout Is blackened to much which takes away from the flavoring. The aligator bites were bland. One of our party members asked for honey mustard for the fries because the fries came out with a side of ketchup, and A side of mustard. The waitress said they don't carry honey mustard. Fries were good! The crab cake is good. We were seated by the door which would've been alright if so many did not keep coming in and out with the cold weather. Better heating in the front cabana, even the hostess had a small space heater to keep Warm so you can imagine having to eat quick as food cooled down faster."

  • "The cabanas are really cool! We got one for a bachelorette dinner and were able to plug in our own phones and jam out. Food was quite tasty and the service was wonderful. Great choice for bachelorette; no complaints here!"

  • "Fun night at Cabana celebrating a birthday. We had an excellent cabana dining room. The cabana felt private, yet provided the opportunity to enjoy the full cabana scene. Wait staff was excellent and the food was great! The rum punch and the sangria are delicious! We will return for another fun night!"

  • "I would probably recommend this for a group of friends getting together for drinks. The food was not that great, I'm pretty sure most of it was not made in the kitchen. We had a reservation, which turned out to be unnecessary, and they sat us in the hallway on the way to the back dining area. I'm not sure why because there were many open tables in the front where it would have been a lot nicer. It was constant traffic of waiters and customers up and down the hallway going back and forth to the back dining area or the kitchen."

  • "It was great food and a great experience overall..."

  • "Special menu with a flight of wine was nice, and unlike many other restaurants around town, their entire regular menu was also available. Service was up to standard, which is generally excellent. Management took advantage of the demand and used the larger booths for more than one couple - one at each end of the table. The back room looked as if extra tables had been added as well. The extra people placed a burden on the kitchen, and it showed in the food, which did not meet expectations."

  • "When we arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes prior to our reservation time, we were told it would be, "just a couple minutes," to get our table ready. After zero follow-up, multiple parties being seated ahead of us and 32 minutes, we were finally seated after going to the hostess station to see how much longer it would be. The service and food were fine, but the experience at the beginning of the night put a definite damper on our celebration."

  • "Stumbled onto this restaurant through Trip Advisor....great new restaurant. We went as a group of 6, loved the cabana and a varied menu for 6 different tastes."

  • "Overall the experience was superb. Food was great although the menu doesn't have the largest variety. Main meal took a little long to get out but the place was packed (Friday night @ 7pm). Cabana is great for couples and fantastic for groups (have gone as both). Groups include semi closed rooms with their own TVs and great for fun discussions, table games, etc. Couples get tables in a great open room with good ambiance. Bar scene is good too. Drink specials are a bit abnormal but some work out well, a bit more on the "adventurous" side."

  • "The food was ok, pricey for portion size on small plates. Wine served at room temperature, a big no-no in the wine/restaurant business. Server was very pleasant and nice. Attended to all our needs. Would not recommend."

  • "I know it was Valentine's Day, but they seemed a lit frazzled by the size of their customers, even though most of us had reservations. The appetizer took quite awhile to come out, BUT our server was awesome and even got us a second complimentary drink. The food was outstanding. I got the bacon-wrapped scallops; my husband got the sweet tea chicken (our favorite) and we both got the awesome sweet potato biscuits. Great meal as always!"

  • "We came here on Valentine's Day, so it was completely packed, but keeping that in mind, the service was attentive, the food was fast, and the bar had Angry Orchard on tap. I was very pleased with the quality of the food. We ordered several small plates to share and every single one of them was absolutely delicious. The chicken enchiladas, catfish sliders, and fried alligator are especially worth mention. It was a little loud and crowded for a date, but it was a good time and I would love to go back with a group."

  • "My girlfriend and I were in Nashville for the weekend and as Cabana was one of my favorites restaurants while at Vanderbilt, I made reservations. Food was as superb as usual. I was a little disappointed in how cramped the tables were for the special occasion. However, overall was a great experience. Will certainly be back."

  • "This restaurant is the best. It's beautiful and the food is amazing. Going on Valentine's Day, one would expect absolute madness, but we were seated right on time and we didn't have to wait very long for anything. Our waitress, Christie (Kristy?) was absolutely wonderful, too. The whole night was great."

  • "I read reviews before choosing this restaurant....a couple of reviews stated that staff was rude....nothing could be further from the truth based on this dining experience! Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The menu was varied and the food was excellent. The ambiance was inviting and décor unique in that you could have private space within the larger room (cabanas). My daughter had her 27th birthday and another group party here and loved it!"

  • "The food and service were great. I have been to cabana several times and had a great experience. My only complaint this time is that it seemed like they were trying to cram as many people into a small area as possible. Our seats were in a hallway and it felt like we were just placed there out of necessity. I would definitely ask for better seating next time. That's the main reason I can't give it a better rating."

  • "I get the hanger steak every time I go. And it is usually great! This time it was just bad. There was no hollandaise.. The potatoes were highly undercooked, basically raw, the meat was overcooked, and the egg wasn't runny. Maybe I noticed just because I know how it is supposed to taste. Not stopping me from going again though."

  • "Cabana has great food and a good ambience. Noise level can be a little loud but not too bad. Servers can be very slow and forget about you for a while. Wednesday night is girls night and they have great deals! Highly recommend going then. The cabanas are perfect for a fun group meal."

  • "I had three visitors coming from out of town who wanted to go somewhere "different". I have previously been to Canana, and I thought it was a perfect way to highlight how Nashville is about more than fried chicken and catfish! As always, the food was good and the atmosphere spectacular. Our only wish was a more attentive server. He seemed too busy for us and then basically asked us to leave as soon as we were finished eating ("don't feel rushed; you can stay another 5 or 10 minutes, if you like"). Otherwise, it was a great experience!"

  • "The cabana seating is great, fairly private and we all enjoyed visiting and dining while keeping an eye on the game on ESPN on our personal television ! The group next to us was a little loud, but it wasn't too bad. The food is wonderful! Highly recommend!"
