asking. Fair price for an excellent dining experience.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMgood and convenientWe were staying at the Intercontinental (loved the sky room view) so we had dinner and breakfast at C,a va. The room, at dinner time, got pretty noisy but the food and service were fine. We enjoyed the Sat. night prime ribs and nice glasses of malbec and dessert. We were seeing Kinky Boots around the corner and had plenty of time to get there. Buffet breakfast had good choices and good service. It was much quieter too.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMEpicurean DelightThe restaurant was beautiful. The staff was very personable and extremely helpful. We told our server how delicious the food was and the chef graciously visited our table. My husband thought the-grilled octopus was delicious. I had the chefs special , mushroom crepe and duck confit were amazing it came with a glass of wine. The meal was a great value for the price of $44.00.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMI always enjoy the food hereI always enjoy the food here and it is a perfect location for pretheater.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Experience! We enjoyed a delicious birthday dinner at CaVa. The atmosphere is warm, but city chic. The food was excellent, and the presentation of each dish was very artistic. We shared the Beet Carpaccio, which was the best I've ever tasted. The Eastern Halibut was scrumptious. Our waiter was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Overall, a wonderful dining experience, in the heart of the theatre district. We enjoyed it so much, we are returning with out of town guests next week to celebrate my husband's birthday before theatre.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is our go to lunch placeThis is our go to lunch place on theater days, and we have never been disappointed, although, because we eat there so often, we are getting a bit tired of the same menu for over a year. How about it?6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMnice placeenjoyed lunch there with my wife..had the brunch special which included a glass of wine and a choice of an appetizer and an entree...was delicious and nicely presented........service folks were very customer focused and extremely pleasant!!!! would certainly go back again...6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Awesome!Quality control is superb. Service was efficient and polite, if a bit rushed. We'll be back!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMCa Va - A Perfect Dining ExperienceThis restaurant is exceptional in every way! First, the food was delightful. The lamb shank and chicken thigh dish were both luscious! No knives needs for these perfectly prepared tender meats! The desserts we had, gelato and a special brownie were unforgettable! Eduardo, our server, was first class. Shawn, the manager was very welcoming and personable. Absolute perfection in every way. Can't wait to return! A real luxury!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAlthough French in title,Although French in title, the food was not really French. I would describe the food as "good", less than I expected. The Todd English restaurant in Vegas was much better!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMTheather lunchWe ate the most delicious hamburger, before going to see The Phantom of the Opera. We tried both hamburgers on the menu.. They just melted....fantastic.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMTheatre GemFood is excellent and pretheatre menu is a find. Well behaved children(!) will be happy. My 9 year old grandson loved his trout. I think it needs better publicity to encourage more local support.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMbest crepe EVERI just hope that the foraged mushroom crepe is not seasonal because honestly it was a taste explosion that I can not wait to experience again ! I can't wait to go back !5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways GoodCa Va never disappoints. From reception to table service to food to check, we always enjoy our time here, whether for lunch, dinner, or brunch. We also go for a drink or coffee in the living room area in the evening.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMMenu had many good choices,Menu had many good choices, as did the wine list. All 3 entrees at our table were very good. The salad had a little too much salt, otherwise good. The design is too contemporary for my taste, could use some coziness.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMVery good steakWe had a very pleasant night. The server was very kind. We had the steak with the truffled potatoes and truffled mac and cheese. Really recommend. We had a problem when they closed the kitchen without letting us know and we almost ended up without desert. We complained with the waiter and they served us. Unfortunately, the deserts weren't that good.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThank youYour new breakfast Buffet was delicious, a little pricey. But taste was great, Keep those waffles on buffett, they go great with the watermelon. Thanks again!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceReally a positive experience all around with absolutely no complaints! Loved the food, both inventive but not overly fussy! Fun crowd with a great mixture of natives, tourists, food lovers and theater people, And I think it is well priced, especially considering the location and quality of food. I love French food and am a pretty good judge of, and this is wonderful French food mixed with playful, global touches! Something for everyone on the menu.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for lunch! We had excellent, attentive service. The seating is comfortable - tables sufficiently spaced apart so one can have a private conversation. The food was interesting and delicious. This was a pre-theatre lunch - but we woulde happily eat dinner here and enjoy brunch as well.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMI go so often it is hard toI go so often it is hard to come up with a different re iew each time. We will definitely go back for dinner soon.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMMy friend and I went for lunch. My friend and I went for lunch. I have never tasted a more delicious beet salad, and the waiter had no problem with two of us sharing...the portion was still generous. Our plates barely needed washing. I had an amazing organic salmon, my friend the evening's special of a scrumptious poussin. E left for the theater delighted with this experience and will be back.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat for 5:30 pre-theaterGreat for 5:30 pre-theater dinner. Great food served promptly. Warm ambiance. Not too crowded and not a pre-theater "factory" like other near-by choices. Would highly recommend and will return.4/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful restaurant. TheBeautiful restaurant. The food was excellent as was the service. I had the escargot and the scallop risotto and they were both delicious. Others in our party had the steak frittes, and they were happy with their meals as well.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second dinnerThis was our second dinner here. I liked the food so much the first time that I bought a Todd English cookbook the next day. His food is extremely good and his presentations are beautiful. Our group of four were all delighted with the food on Sunday. The service, however, is a bit amateurish. For instance, the waiter got an appetizer order wrong and went to correct it; but I was unable to get anyone's attention for another plate so that we could all share our appetizers with the one person without food. Then, when people finished courses at different speeds, the server wanted to remove plates on an individual basis, while others were still eating. Also, while this is not an intimate, romantic room it is still very attractive.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThis food deserves a nicer setting! The menu is terrific and the food was spectacular, but the setting felt like a hotel coffee shop.
The service was lovely too.
We went for a pre theatre dinner, and the meal was well timed so we left on-time stress free.
The room was fairly empty - it was 6:30.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMCan't wait to go back. Our dinner was exceptional. Can't wait to go back. Oysters were the best we've ever had. Tuna was still the star of the evening. It was a special evening. We loved it!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMit was perfect for pre-theaterit was perfect for pre-theater dining in the area. I recommended it highly.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe were there for Good FridayWe were there for Good Friday lunch so it was fairly quiet. Food was delicious. Try the ravioli with peas and pancetta for appetizer and the red bibb salad with a vanilla vinagrette dressing. Also try the salmon, duck, chicken paillard and chicken avocado blt.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AM
