  • Private Party Facilities: C restaurant has a few different group options available. If it is privacy you crave, we have a wine room that seats 2 - 14 guests, perfect for business meetings, anniversaries or even more intimate special occasions. Overlooking the main dining room, our mezzanine level seats up to 25 people. Great for office get-togethers, whether formal or boisterous, this spot fits the bill. Groups larger than this size will normally constitute a buy-out of the restaurant.

Make a film that’s one to five minutes in length and upload it to the Internet or mail it to C. The subject of the movie is water – whatever that means to you - but ideally we’d like it to focus on sustainability, environmentalism and / or oceans advocacy. We encourage lo-fi productions. That means your movie can be shot on your camera or your phone or you laptop. Content is king. Message is key. Selected films will be appear at the C Blue Film Fest at the end of March. We ordered the tasting menu which I hoped would show off the chef's vision but it turned out to be on the bland side, nothing very exciting. Also the restaurant never responded to any of my attempts to contact them before the meal. I will not go again."

  • "Went there with my wife for her birthday. Everything went fine until they served my glass of wine. I found lints everywhere on the inside of my wine glass and let the waiter know right away. One minute later the waiter told us my wife had to change her order since they were out of Lobster. They didn't let us know anything at all but whatever. She ordered something else. We waited another 25 mins and the same waiter, who seemed to be the manager, came and told us my wife's order had been no longer available a few days ago but they forgot to take it off from their menu. We started to doubt if that's their revenge for pointing out the lints on my wine glass. Fine, my wife had to change her main again. The sashimi was way too far from fresh..."

  • "You can tell this place is poorly run. Went here for mothers day lunch. Understaffed. Overbooked. We were left with the only table available in the blazing sun. The pre-set 3 course menu was disappointing. Small portions. My mom ordered the salmon for her entree. It was smaller than a deck of cards. For $39/person, I expected more. The only gem out of our lunch was our waiter. This guy deserves a raise. He was extremely apologetic and provided us with the most service he could even with the understaffed conditions. To top it off, he was personable and funny. I'd e pulling my hairsout if I were him that day.. I forgot his name, he's the waiter who had his Samsung S5 stolen. You should give him one after working that day"

  • "Went to C Restaurant for Mother's day brunch. From the start things started bad... Took over 20 minutes just to seat us, when we had reservations and called in the morning to confirm. The service was slow, took forever to take our drink orders, food orders. Staff were generally not to friendly, and aggressive. Food was ok, our smoked salmon bennie was cold, the fruit salad for the kids looked like it had been sitting for days. The portions were small for the price. Overall I would not recommended the C, even though it has a nice view."

  • "We usually go to C once or twice a year. I am not a big fan of seafood in general, but the dishes at C are so interesting that I usually enjoy them a great deal. Somewhat unusually this time, they seemed surprised that we wanted to order the tasting menu, and they seemed a little slower getting the dishes out. But for a tasting menu, that can be a plus. The lobster bisque was amazing, as was the scallops with pork belly."

  • "We had 6pm reservations - when we arrived 3 other tables of 2 were already in the restaurant making us the 4th table that evening. There was one busser, 2 servers, 1 manager and 1 hostess. After the hostess sat us, no one came by, made eye contact, nothing... for 15 minutes. This is incredibly unacceptable for a so called 4 star plus restaurant. We then watched as two ladies, who walked in after us sat down, were greeted, had the manager give them a third chair for their purses, and their server take their orders. We finally asked the busser for water. And then we asked the busser to have a server come over. But by then, my sister's birthday dinner had been ruined so after some thought we left. "

At the suggestion of server had tempura sweet potato and asparagus -- both excellent and tasty. The wild salmon was said to be superb. We will definitely be back."

  • "Dined here many times over the years, but no more. Had a bad meal a yr ago but gave it one more chance. First 2 ordered wines were n/a and the salad arrived before our wine. Caesar salad was terrible. Lettuce not fresh, dressing flavourless. My wife's entree was very good. My piece(s) of sable fish couldn't have totaled 4 oz (but were done perfectly). One of the ingredients of the dish was smoked octopus. The size was literally less than half of my little fingernail. To be fair we didn't complain - but I've seen and read too many stories of what happens in the kitchen when you do. To sum up, the server was eager, friendly and enthusiastic. Ambiance decent. But when you're paying $100+ per person, you really expect much much more."

  • "Went for Valentine's dinner, the 4 course menu was fantastic, as are the location and ambiance. Of course we expected to dish out a significant sum at an upscale restaurant on Valentine's day, and, as such, we expected much better service. We were served by around 4 or 5 different people throughout the night, all of whom were either disorganized or rude (or both). We ordered drinks before ordering food, but we didn't get them until after we were finished eating our first course. They forgot to give us soup spoons when they delivered our soup, and our dessert came without everything on the plate (those are just the highlights! There was more). Perhaps less busy days will provide a better experience, so I would tentatively recommend still."

  • "It was Valentine's Day, but nowhere on Opentable or the restaurant's website was indicated that there is only one menu option a 4-course for Chef's Menu. Would I have known I would have not booked there. I indicated I have a wheat allergy and the waiter made some recommendations, but didn't indicate if those menu items were safe or not. Dessert was not safe, as it had cake pops and it was to share, and he kind of chose for us, saying he knows best. Service was fairly slow, the waiter did not check in to see if we need anything else... Food was good, and the third course-the entree was a really good size. Might return for brunch in the summer."

  • "There was nothing terrible about our visit, but nothing spectacular either. And for nearly $300 for one couple, that's unforgivable. The set menu was a bit of a surprise, though it was probably advertised if I'd been paying more attention. More surprising was the almost complete lack of seafood among the choices. Tables were separated into two-person tables, making the restaurant jam-packed, and likely resulting in there not being enough servers to go around (though how could they not have predicted this?). It was our first visit to C, and while I will give them the benefit of the doubt that this was probably not indicative of a regular night there, it may also be our last."

  • "This was our first visit to a restaurant that apparently used to have a good reputation. Upon entering, we received a friendly greeting, but with no offer to take our coats. The main floor of the restaurant has beautiful views of the harbour, but we were taken to a small room with no windows or zero ambiance. Although they had some very nice wine bottles on display (Foxtrot Pinot) , they were nowhere to be found on the wine list, which was pedestrian at best. Food was okay, but for the $95.00 it cost for the set menu it was a very poor investment. I can't say we will ever go back. Which is too bad because we are only 2 blocks from the restaurant"

  • "The last time we ate here (many years ago) we had a fantastic meal in a refined setting. This time we came for a celebration and left disappointed Some dishes were good others just mediocre and in fact one dish arrived missing a main component listed on the menu. But really, what ruined our evening the most was the fact that we were surrounded by diners totally engrossed in their cellphones and iPads. Not the kind of atmosphere expected at an upscale restaurant. Much as we love seafood, we will not be returning to C."

  • "My boyfriend and I tried out C Restaurant for the first time during Dine Out Vancouver. We ordered the scallops with edamame and octopus. It was divine, the scallops were seared perfectly. Our entrée was also delicious, and the flavours were rich but well-balanced. I recommend the chocolate mousse for dessert, as it was the best I have ever tasted. Our favourite dish was an add-on to the dine out menu, and was a mushroom risotto with truffle oil, and we would definitely return for that dish alone! Not sure about the main menu, but prices are quite high, so prepare to spend a decent amount of money for a quality seafood experience."

  • "We decided to try C Restaurant for our anniversary this year and came away very underwhelmed and disappointed with the experience. Despite making a reservation we we told (rather bluntly) that there would be a wait. We stood for almost an hour in the entrance as there was nowhere to sit and no room at the bar. We were just about to give up and leave when we were eventually shown to our table. The table service was fine but the food very average for the price. The servings were small, cold and certainly nothing special. The oysters we ordered were the smallest I have ever laid eyes upon. The general atmosphere, decor and ambience was also very bland. All in all, a very disappointing dining experience."

  • "Long story short, made a reservation for 8:15p.m. and arrived at the restaurant at 8:06 p.m. Saw there was a huge crowd at hostess table, was told everyone there had a reservation. Did not get seated until 9:15 p.m. Example of poor organization already, why overbook yourself so much that someone would have to wait an hour even if a reservation was made. Took another 10 minutes before our waitress came, she was apologetic and pleasant to deal with. Ordered our food and the appetizers came quick, in fact, so quick that our bread hasn't even come yet. Waited for another 15 minutes before we got the attention of our waitress, and they screwed that up too so we had to ask again, . Rest of the night went fine but would not go back again."

  • "I went to C for Dine Out Vancouver. I have been to C as a regular customer so I anticipated it would be much like the good experience I have had before. I came in to a giant crowd of people waiting at the tiny entrance. The hostess took my name and told me it would be 30-45min to be seated- with my reservation. There is no excuse for this, especially since we were not seated until an hour after our reservation! They should have figured out the tables by the second-to-last day of Dine Out. My appy was lukewarm to cold. Everything else was quite delicious. Wish they would give you a bit more portion-wise. I won't be recommending since there are many great restaurants in Vancouver that treat you well, Dine Out customer or regular customer."

After the group eating next to us left, the busser put new silverware directly on the seat where a previous patron had been sitting 5 minutes previously. Gross. Also, waited over 30 minutes for our table when we arrived on time (maybe 1 minute late). I had the impression that the 3 hostesses had gotten reservations confused, as we were almost immediately seated after my checking a second time about the delay."
