C RestaurantBeautiful Setting.... Great Food.Dinner was wonderful. We had the tasting menu, and the chef accommodated our " fish only" diet request . Thie food portions were not your typical "tasting " sizes..... They were very generous and beautifully prepared. Our server was so friendly and attentive ( I'm embarrassed that I cannot remember her name) I would highly recommend C for a special occasion, or even an after work drink and apps....9/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNew Chef Fantastic Food!Hadn't been to C for at least a year and had always enjoyed the food in the past but WOW. We were told that a new chef had started two weeks ago. Everything we had was amazing - the tastes all worked extremely well together whether it was the lobster poutine or the sable fish with beef cheek or peel and eat spot prawns. Impressive. I specifically asked for a window seat because my boyfriend likes the window seat. However, they disappointed us. I saw there is a table at the window that is empty. I assumed that is the table I reserved. However, they told me that is not our table we have to wait for another 10-15min for the customers in a smaller table to finish their dessert. I actually didnt really mind that because we did arrive early. We did end up with a window seat, but with all the bushes and plants blocking the outside view. Whats the point of sitting at the window seat then! Also, Im not satisfied with our waiter either. This time, I had the 10-course tasting menu and every dish was beautiful and divine. Not only that, but the cocktails were well-crafted, and the service was very attentive. There was mouth-watering flavor in every bite. I could not imagine how nice the C was: excellent food, good wines, and an unforgettable scenic view. Have been there a few times and especially on a sunny day the view and ambience is amazing. Friendly service and the food is great and well presented. The pea/ mint soup was delicious! The food at C is truly inspirational and the waiters (although a little distant at first) were hugely knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful.
