Diner Reviews
  • "C&S has an outstanding menu of expertly prepared food. Incredible seafood choices with the most attentive, well mannered and uniformed servers. It is one of my favorite special occasion restaurants."

  • "We had dinner outside where is very calm. Inside is pretty noisy. Food was good as always. Service considering the restaurant, should be improved. My husband ordered a fish and the sauce arrived 10 min after. Almost finished the meal..."

  • "Having worked many years in the seafood industry, I can be hard to please. I recently busted C&S and enjoyed the best flounder that I've had since moving to Atlanta 20 years ago. It was as moist and as flavorful as one could ever expect. Cooked to perfection. Service could have been better as it was on the slow side and it wasn't bust but the food was great."

  • "The food was outstanding and in particular, the sliced tuna appetizer and the sea bass entree. Service was attentative although we did receive our entrees before our salad arrived. Still an outstanding evening and a spot we will definitely dine at again."

  • "We always enjoy C&S. Great service and good food."

  • "My wife and I were very pleased with this restaurant as we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary. The service and food was second to none. We will he back."

  • "My friend suggested this restaurant for her birthday and it was very nice. The Sea Bass was stupendous and love the pineapple polenta desert."

  • "My family ate at C&S two nights ago. We have averaged eating here at least once a month for many years. This meal was very poor. My scallops tasted like lighter fluid and even after having them remade twice, they were unedible. (They did comp these btw). Kids gumbo was good flavor wise, but each had only one piece of sausage and only a couple of shrimp. Mostly broth. Waiter was pleasant but forgot two items we ordered. And then at the end, he was talking up front and we waited 10-15 minutes after we were finished before getting the check. When we arrived, two bartenders who were off were complaining about having to split their shifts..lots of cursing including f--ks. My young children heard them and I was furious. Totally inappropriate."

  • "One of our semi regular places, only because of the distance from home. Always consistent quality of food and attention. Probably the best Chowder in Atlanta!"
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "I treated my husband with a great meal from C&S. He enjoyed it and so did I. Loved the calamari and shrimp spring rolls."
    Dined on 6/15/2014
  • "The food was excellent but the service was a little lacking. When the waiter brought our food he took the bread away. We loved the bread and wanted it with our meal. We had to get someone to bring it back. Other than that, it was a good dining experience."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "The food was very good, however it was extremely overpriced. We hadn't been to C&S in a while and was surprised at the increased prices."
    Dined on 6/14/2014
  • "I recently relocated to Atlanta and was in search of my favorite restaurants in several different categories. Needless to say, my search for my favorite seafood is over. The assortment of fresh fish, shellfish and oysters are incomparable. Combine that with top-notch service, friendly patrons and a great bar makes this place a special gem."

  • "Great seafood, excellent service, fine dining experience"

  • "We've never had a bad meal here. Food is great, service is excellent. Prices are moderately high, but that's to be expected for seafood of this quality. On some evenings it can be a challenge getting reservations here. Great for lunch if you're in the area."

  • "We had been to Hugo's and the waitress told us that C&S had a larger oyster selection so we went. Went on a Monday and there was not a lot of people there. We were able to sit along the back wall together and watch the baseball game as we ate and talked. The oysters were great, the service was great and the entrees were great. It is definitely pricey but we knew that going into the meal so more of a special occasion joint for us. I would go other times just for oysters though if they had any deals or specials on them"

  • "The food was out of this world. Would recommend to my friends and family!"

  • "Oysters Rockefeller were superb, and the mussels were nearly perfect, with marvelous liquid for sopping lots of good fresh bread. The gazpacho was not as good as it has been, so when I return I will opt for the Manhattan clam chowder, which has always been very good. Service was top-drawer "

  • "I'd been to this spot before for a business dinner 3 years ago and I just made it back this past weekend. This time it was for a friend's birthday. I would recommend that you sit in the booth section because the tables in the rear of the restaurant are quite noisy due to the busy kitchen being close by. The oysters Kamat oysters (I hope I have that spelled properly) were out of this world! "

  • "We have been there so many times that we have our own personal server, Virginia Randolph Ramsey. She is the consummate professional server, can answer any question about the menu. She also knows the wine list like a sommelier. Virginia and I convinced my wife to go with the night's special, which was PERFECTLY blackened halibut with roasted potatoes and the little French green beans that I love but cannot spell. I am proud that I finally learned to spell hors d'ouervres. The back staff is outstanding as well. A nifty shrimp amuse. and terrific bread. Attentive but not annoying attention to water glass etc. It's special. Go there for a special occasion and let the GM, Arnold, know what's special. You won't be disappointed."

  • "My wife and daughter had the shrimp po' boy but I had the streak and eggs. It was all delicious. It was the most enjoyable meal that I have had in quite a while. We usually go here for dinner but this brunch will make me go back there earlier in the day."

  • "Excellent meal and wait staff. Our flounder and grouper dinners were cooked to perfection. We will be back!"

  • "This was our first time to C&S. They were slammed for Mother's Day and probably just a tad understaffed. So, I was willing to afford a little more time than normal. That being said, the waitress was attentive and entertaining. The food was very good. I think we'll definitely go back, but this time not on a major holiday."

  • "We went to C&S Seafood Saturday with friends in town from Chicago. It was fantastic! the food, atmosphere and cocktails all exceeded our expectations. This is definitely my new favorite restaurant and I can't wait to go back!"

  • "Awesome seafood and service on a busy Saturday night! We sampled a dozen oysters and enjoyed cocktails before our entrees, and still made it to the Cobb Energy Center with time to spare before the 8 pm Opera. One of our Go-To restaurants for dinner before the Opera for just this reason. Crab Louis salad is delicious and filling, but not too naughty for those trying to cut calories. "

  • "I brought my family for Easter Brunch. I wanted a special setting and kid friendly menu for my son. The oysters, scallops, steak and cheeseburger were all a big hit. The service was outstanding and managment came around several times to check on our experience. We will return!"

  • "I know when a restaurant is on "Open Table" that it is going to be good, but C&S Seafood & Oyster Bar was exquisite. My husband and I were so pleasantly surprised to find out how great the food was. The restaurant is in a little Kroger shopping center in Vinings, so I wasn't expecting white table clothes and such amazing food; hats off to the chef. Great job!! First, the best dip I have ever had was the smoked trout; second, they had my husbands top shelf bourbon, Basil Hayden, which made him very happy, which makes me very happy; lastly, our entrée was flounder and yes, the best I have ever had. The atmosphere was sophisticated but cozy and casual. I love it; you must try it!! We will be revisiting C&S Seafood regularly. "

  • "I was really surprised the food was not better. The oysters were not good at all, small and drooly. I was really counting on great oysters. The mussel sauce was fantastic, but the mussels disappointing. Too small and not much flavor in many of them. Oh, and the wine was great!"

  • "Very friendly and attentive wait staff. You can tell they are professionals. Loved the grilled oysters and sea bass with bok choy and sticky rice! Only downside is it gets too noisy. Eat outside if the weather is nice."

  • "Ricky our server was very personable; very obliging to two girlfriends who were out for lunch to celebrate a birthday - didn't rush us and gave us chat time. Food was delicious."
    Dined on 4/9/2014
  • "While the three of us were a little disappointed in the food (the quality of the fish was excellent but the sides & sauces with the fish seemed too salty and excessive), the ambience was great. And the service was just excellent. It's a fun place to dine especially if you can get a booth."
    Dined on 4/3/2014
  • "I've eaten at this place a few times for both lunch and dinner. The food is very good. Fairly basic seafood presentations, but that's a good thing. Usually service is attentive without being intrusive. However on this occasion, the waitstaff seemed off their game and took the non-intrusive to a all new level. When you are paying $50-$60 a person for a meal, you really should not have to flag down the waiter. And frankly the place was not all that busy. Every place and every waiter has an off night...so we'll give em one."

  • "The food was great. We had the Shrimp Meneire and the Soft Shell Crab special. Both were delicious. The atmosphere and the service were both great as well."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "We actually captured a great evening to eat outside and took it! Fish selections are always great! The food was good as usual but I think being the only ones outside we were delayed in constant service as they had to remember that we were out there! Wouldn't have change that though as we really enjoyed the different opportunity of the outdoors."
    Dined on 3/10/2014
  • "The oysters were great, but service was horrible and the tuna tartar was terrible. The brown sauce that came with it destroyed the dish. Overall a bad experience and would rather get seafood in town."
    Dined on 3/21/2014
  • "I have been to this restaurant several times and Have always had a good experience. Not this time. The food portions were really small and the quality not up to par. My glass of wine was probably a few sips. Not enjoyable this time. Too Bad."

  • "Grilled oysters were fabulous. Lobster and crab cocktail divine. Truffle chips are purely sinful. There is no better server anywhere than Virginia. Arnold does a superb job with the front of the house."
