Diner Reviews
  • "The food and service was good, but the tables were close together, waiters bumping into chairs at times, and just very jammed. The kitchen was open, which made the noise high. I asked for a window set over looking the pool, but it was unavailable. We sat between tables and it felt like you were dining with other parties. It was hard to talk and enjoy the meal."

  • "I sat at the bar. Great service by Steve. The halibut was great and nice presentation."

  • "I went with my boyfriend and was seated right away. The server came by and asked for our drinks. When he came back with our drinks, it hasn't even been I would say 3 minutes, and he asked if we were ready. We didn't even have enough time to look over the menu yet. We ordered the crab cakes for appetizer. I know crab cake sizes are usually pretty small, but for $16, I thought they would be a bit bigger sized. Nope. Same size. The taste wasn't too special. I wouldn't order it again. I ordered the miso sea bass and my boyfriend ordered the bone in rib eye. Both of them were pretty good. I felt a little rushed with the server walking by all the time. For the price that we're paying, I would've expected better service and better atmosphere."

  • "We were at the Rio for the Penn & Teller show so we decided to try one of their restaurants. The wife and I had seafood (their specialty). My wife had the halibut which she loved. I had the cioppino which was outstanding. While there is no actual children's menu, they can order from the "Starters" or "Side Dish" section of the menu. Our 6 year old enjoyed the Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese (which she described as the "Best Ever") and glazed carrots. The atmosphere was perfect with no loud background noise, subdued lighting and a view of the Rio's Voodoo Beach swimming pool. "

  • "No Ambience, but service and food is what it is all about. The Manager Diane has a wonderfull staff assembled. The chefs, wait staff, bar tenders and bus service outstanding. We ate there twice."

  • "Seafood was great. Had seafood pasta which had plenty of seafood...and not all pasta. Hubby had the chilean seabass which was prepared expertly. Both salads were nice...and good size."

  • "This is a great spot for seafood. Fresh fish and a view of the pool area at RIO. One of our favorite in Casino restaurants in Las Vegas."

  • "Since my review is with Open Table....I will start with my one and only Complaint. Our reservation was at 5:00. Restaurant did not open till 5:00. We got there at 4:50 and there was a massive line waiting for the place to open. When they did open, They started letting people in WITHOUT reservations and those WITH reservations had to wait in line with everyone else. SO WRONG!!! They should have taken all the reservations first and then messed with the NO reservations parties. Why make reservations? On to the Food and Service. Tony (our server) was very helpful and very good. Our food was wonderful. Menu is a tad pricey, but the entrees with 2 sides were VERY generous on the portions."

  • "And good size portions. Clam chowder is one of the best in town!"

  • "Worst Experience. We were rushed since we had a reservation at 10 PM. The server keeps saying that the kitchen is closing! Awful experience."

  • "We had a party of 4 for dinner. Service was polite and eager to please individual requests for food preparation. One of us had crablegs while 3 of us had fish entrees. All meals were excellent and sides were tasty. Great dining experience."

  • "I enjoy the Chilean sea bass and my wife loves your fresh oysters and steamers. We enjoy sitting at the counter and talking to the chefs, who are always very friendly and try to please you in every way. Everyone in the restaurant is quite friendly and very helpful."

  • "That pretty much sums it up! Our waiter seemed to hate his job and was careless start to finish. Screwed up our bill and when we asked him about it to correct it he was not pleased and let us know it. But it was strictly his mistake for being sloppy and not paying attention."

  • "Amazing food if you don't mind noise, our seat was close to the bar, which was very noisy, which would be great if we were there to party at the bar. We were there for dinner and drinks, knowing dinner and drinks would be about $50.00 per person in Las Vegas, I expected a more intimate setting. The booth seat was solid wood, no cushion very uncomfortable, the other side of the table was a chair. With no divider between us and the bar, very noisy, and dinner was definitely not intimate. The drinks were great, I had a beer which was ice cold, my wife had wine said it was fantastic. Dinner was great, the wasabi tuna I ordered was cooked to perfection, Macadamia Halibut my wife had was perfect, the macaroni and cheese was a great side dish."

  • "Again we visited Buzio's in The Rio Hotel and had Excellent food. They added a few new items which is always nice. The Seafood is so fresh and cooked perfectly. Scott our Server was so attentive, efficient, and so friendly. He really made my husbands 60th Birthday perfect!! Thank You."

  • "Very good, wide variety of sea food. We liked it but our service was slow. We would return."

  • "I had the charbroiled swordfish. It was done well as were the brocolli and baked potato. My only complaint is the pre-dinner drink. I ordered a Bombay and tonic. The tonic was flat and I think the ratio was a bit heavy on the Bombay."

  • "I wasn't blown away by Buzios. We've been a few times in the past, and it's always been fine, but not great. We had 2 entrees, 2 soups, and 1 dessert. We had one beer and one soda. The total bill was about $120. The food was just okay. My husband's dish, the macadamia crusted tuna, was very good. Much better than my seasonal special of mahi mahi. The lobster bisque is always delish."

  • "The best seafood in the Valley with a great variety on the menu"

  • "Not nearly as overpriced and underqualitied as many hotel restaurants on the strip.Appitizers and salad not great but certainly adaquate."

  • "Food, service and atmosphere were "ok", nothing more than that."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "Appetizers - Clams and the lobster bisque was very good, however I would suggest serving them at the same time and not 20 minutes apart! I ordered red snapper, it was nice but clearly NOT red snapper, husbands steak was ok. Our server was not very good, he was slow and not helpful."

  • "What shame that such a great menu and culinary quisine lacks the service that your patrons are paying for"

  • "Our dinner (Steak and lobster) was excellent. Not the fanciest place but food and friendly service was great."

  • "My husband and I love seafood so we go to Buzios whenever we visit Las Vegas. We are usually very pleased with our meals except for the last visit on Feb 13. He had scallops which were very good. I had a lobster tail which was dry and a little chewy. Needless to say, I was disappointed in my meal. I will not order lobster again."

  • "Our waiter and his helper did a great job. Every year we come to the Hanger Education Fair which is held at Rio. We have been dining at Buzio's each time, and it is always very good. Last Thursday evening we had made reservations for a party of 9 which included 5 of our very best customers- some of whom had come to the convention from England. When we arrived, Buzio's had our table ready for us in a good location, and everything went perfectly."

  • "We made a reservation, and we were seated promptly. Then we waited for at LEAST twenty minutes before I went to the lady at the front desk and asked for a server. I know the waiters were busy, but, we had at least three waiters come to tables around us, serve those customers and then left while walking right by our table. We had our menus at the end of the table to show that we were ready to order, and waited, and waited. After that issue, our dining experience was ruined. At least Penn and Teller was awesome, which made up for the poor supper. Dale Kuzmiak"

  • "A wonderful restaurant in all the partying of downtown. If. You come to Vegas, you must visit downtown at night, and definitely Hugo's,"

  • "We ordered muscle appetizers 3 of us split a Nicoise salad, and our great server didn't blink w/the request I do not drink but my companions were very happy with the wine list and the bar cocktails. They refilled our breadbasket and I ordered the Bouluibasse and my companions ordered the blackened Swordfish. The Bouluibasse was the best I have had in years including San Francisco. Lots of seafood, large portions and a broth to die for. Make reservations as they were packed and we only waited a few minutes after our booked time, and they accommodated a wheelchair easily."

  • "This restaurant would rank on the bottom of my list. The ambiace, table arrangement and uncomfortable sitting made for an unpleasant experience. The service was terrible...they couldn't get anything right, kept dropping things and drooped water on my dining date. The food was luke warm, meat hard, fish bony and not tastee. Not a good experience here. The Rio needs to revamp their restaurant's services."

  • "We went for my husbands birthday. My only negative would be that it was extremely loud and was hard to here each other talking. Our waiter told my husband to get Lobster spaghetti and it was very, very good. I really liked my filet also. They gave us a large piece of chocolate cake with a candle and it was decadent! OMG"

  • "I was staying at the Rio and in the mood for seafood so I decided to give the restaurant a try. The service was the highlight of the place. The staff was very attentive and the service was spot on. However, the food left something to be desired. I started with clams casino. The clams were over cooked and the topping was too heavy ad filled with breading. I them moved on the the macadamia crusted halibut. I'll give them points for flavor but to over cook halibut is a travesty! The halibut was dry, I mean Nevada dry! Over all this place does not get my vote. I will not be returning. The only saving grace was the great service."

  • "I has been several years since we've had a chance to dine a Buzios. I still remains a treat. The service is excellent and the food is still meeting the high standards, we've always enjoyed. Reasonably priced, it is my favorite sea food restaurant in Vegas."

  • "I believe it was all frozen seafood for the price of fresh. Very disappointing. Listed as a fine dining restaurant. Far from it."

  • "It is hard to find good lobster in Vegas, but this has well-prepared 1 1/2 lb fresh lobster for about $31/lb. Other lobsters I have tried tend to have an "herb" flavor boil, but this was made without outside flavors. Just a nice lobster to tear apart for every morsel! Also, good crab legs."
