Very romantic restaurant as noted in other reviews. Was a little disappointed as the wife and I had picked out a couple of menu items before going and they were out of both when we got there. Other options weren't quite up our ally, but it did get us outside our comfort zone. The owner and her husband are a very personable couple and great talking to if they have the time. Definitely worth the trip.

Great adult dining with a terrific bar. This is a place for you and your special other. Smooth mood music, no TV, no small children underfoot. A place for quiet intimate dining with a flexible and delicious menu. We have needed a place like this since Michael Anthony's closed!

Great little off the beaten path place. Great food you will talk about later to friends. Beer menu rocks with a great selection of high quality specialty beers. Go see Brandee (Owner/GM) and she will take great care of you. Cheese board is fantastic as well as the rest of the menu. Brandee is a great hands on Owner and she will work with you to provide a great cluinary experince. As well as help with any food allergies which makes this place even better.

Every moment from the moment we walked in the door made us feel as if we were the guests of honor. The food was amazing with new flavors that we had not experienced before. The wine selection is very extensive and the martinis are all original to this restaurant. It's the perfect place for anything from a romantic first date to a group event. The wait staff is well trained and very helpful in walking you through the choices.

Went to Butterfly for the first time, and fortunately the amazing food saved the experience. The host and server were quite awkward, and the ambience was really odd. It felt a bit like a crypt, and the service kept hovering by our table, which was fairly uncomfortable. Some basic retraining for wait and hosting staff I think would go a long way. Luckily, the food was off the charts. We ordered a bunch of food off the tapas and small plate menus. The Elk stuffed meatballs were good, and the sirloin and scallop "sushi" roll was unbelievably delicious, if not a little large and unwieldy to eat. The venison sliders were outstanding - very savory, and the smoked rabbit ravioli were fantastic (very smoky and full of flavor). Delicious!

We had a group of 12 needing an escape from conference food and happened upon Butterfly. What a GREAT find!! We started with cheese plates which were absolutely delicious. The wine choices were varied and all very good. I had the sea bass for dinner and it was utterly divine!! I also had a bite of almost everything else my group ordered and there was not a bad dish on the table. The service was superior as well. I would definitely recommend Butterfly to anyone living in or visiting the area. The entire group raved about the entire experience!

The four of us dine out monthly at some of the finest restaurants in the DFW area, and we found Butterfly to rank with the best. The dining areas are lovely, quiet, and peaceful. Each of us was delighted with the quality and flavor of our food. I had the sea bass entree served on a bed of risotto, and found it excellent. My friends had lamb, elk, and beef, and all were pleased. The tapas that started our meal were also delicious. The service was leisurely paced, perhaps a little too leisurely when the time came for the check, and our waiter never brought the additional bread we requested, but on the whole our dining experience was first-rate.

The rice with my wife's Morrocan Chicken had too much sugar in it. when she complained they did not offer to do anything about it! My mussels and Clams were rubbery and chewy. I asked them beofre hand if that would be a problem.l The waiter said it would not. The The Chicken, scallops and shrimp were excellent. The Tapas were very good.

Small, diverse menu that's well done. Waiter had a good command of the menu. Unobtrusive service. Where the wheels shot off was at the bar after dinner. The bartender was one of those depressed, angsty 20 something's. I opted to leave instead of listen to his lamentations. Otherwise, a really good experience.

We were blown away at Butterfly. From the time we walked in the door until we left, we were well taken care of with great recommendations. We started at the bar with Devon who suggested the special martinis (unique & tasty) and cheese board. Great variety of cheeses, dried fruits, fresh fruit, and roasted. At our table we each had a tapas flight. It is a great way to sample. The fois gras was delicious & buttery, the elk stuffed mushroom was overstuffed (in a good way) with great taste, and the eggplant, YUM! Go for the venison sliders for small bites. They melt in your mouth. Smoked rabbit ravioli is great to share has a perfect flavor. Each dish was presented beautifully and we enjoyed every bite. Thank you Butterfly staff!

We so badly wanted to like Butterfly. Our visit was on a Thursday eve and the place was dead. 3 tables total my wife and I included. The Tapas were uninspired and the cevechie was subpar at best. Wort of all the seafood was cooked way overdone and the paella rice was not completely done and with poor seasoning. For the prices they charge and the outward appearance of the resturant we were expecting much better. Our waiter Nick also did not appear to care about us or dinner and the service was very very slow. With only 3 tables you would think we would have had better service.

Very nice eclectic fusion menu - varied between tapas, small plates and larger entrees. Really gave us the opportunity to try a little of everything and have a variety of experiences. The tapas was certainly our favorite - the elk sausage stuffed mushroom and the foie gras. We had the wine flight pairing with one of the tapas plates and found it perfectly suited. They dessert flights were also nicely proportioned to where we could share a single flight and its 3 samples across 2 of us. With the live piano and harp in the background, very romantic and certainly a very enjoyable experience. Christopher our waiter was EXCELLENT; knowledgeable and witty with a great sense of humor. GO!! Very good!!

The owners were out checking on how both the service and food was as was the wait staff. The food was cooked as requested and had a wonderful flavor with unique and wonderful food and flavor combinations. This isn't our first time here and it won't be our last. It was nice and quiet with the live music at just the right volume, you could enjoy it but still hear each other talk. The lighting was a little bright, but not uncomfortable.

The food was very good - we had shrimp/seafood rolled in beef and scallops w/couscous to start - both were delicious. My husband's lamb was excellent, cooked perfectly. I had the eggplant lasagna (special of the day) which was very good. The service was excellent; the waiter was attentive and the owner greeted each table. Some of the previous reviews criticized the small portions, but they were same size that upscale restaurants like Fearing's serve. One suggestion: please turn up the heat, my husband kept his coat on the entire time.

You walk away feeling you should have had a better meal than you did. Service very inconsistent - entree side dish brought to table before apetizers served, chopsticks brought to table after Butterfly role had been consumed, waiter failed to mention that side dish my wife ordered was also included in main dish that I ordered. Food varried in quality. Elk Medalions were good but medium well, not medium as ordered and recommended by chef. Bread was tasty but second order tasted mushy in middle which suggests they didn't fully defrost before they served.

What a disappointment! After seeing all the wonderful sounding items on the menu, we decided to try several of their tapas offerings. None of them lived up to description. Of the "Small Plates" we tried the rabbit ravioli which was very good, but the calamari was clumped together and had raw batter in the clumps. We were excited to see that the had a white wine on special that was a favorite, but, after ordering a bottle, we were told it would be a while because they didn't have any chilled. Our server really tried to make things better, but this was just an overall mess. We had really hoped to find a new restaurant, closer to our home, that could be a "go to" for special occasions, but it won't be this one.

Disappointed after reading the other reviews. Interesting menu and the food was good, but the feel of the restaurant was cold, in fact it was cold! For a restaurant which describes itself as eclectic it surprised us that they have no sparkling water on the menu (Perrier, Pelegrino.) Nice wine list. It was also difficult to find perhaps why there were so few people there on a Thursday night.

It's taken 2 months to even know how to explain our visit to this beautiful place. We were a party 4 of and so excited to get a place in Slake & Grapevine that wasn't Tex-Mex or Italian. The night started out they were out on tonic at the bar at 6:00pm. The place had very few customers so we couldn't even understand on a staurday night you could be out of tonic. So short story of the rest of our crazy visit. By 8:15 only 2 had receieved our salads (had to request 1 salad twice). By this time we had had enough so without dinner we got our ck and went to Winewood. Come to find out the couple we were with said the had the same thing happen to them 2 weeks prior.
