Butcher Shop Steakhouse - San DiegoService was wonderfulI am had an enjoyful date with a long time friend. I requested a table w/out much thoroughfare as I recently had foot surgery and the host was extremely accommodating and even wished me well. Prime rib bites were cooked medium well--I prefer medium-rare, but very tasty. Our main meal were a prime rib and beef medallion. Food was very good. The service was outstanding. Our waitress had suggestions for appetizers and entrees, as well as cocktails and wine. Her suggestions were very appreciated. She was such a delight the entire time. Afterwards, my date and I enjoyed the company of the bartender. Food was very reasonable for the spot, service was excellent and the menu had a great variety. Worth a stop and a meal - even if you need to drive to get here as I did. The requests I had sent in advance were attended to with no fuss at all. All of the food requests that my family members made were fulfilled (again, with no fuss at all).
They made us feel special and valued.

We drove in from Palm Desert(2 1/2 hrs. each way) that also adds to how important it was to dine at the restaurant. The food from start to finish is very fresh, tasty and presented most attractively. The parking situation can be rough, they reserve way too much of their ample parking lot for valet service (80% of it at times!) and it. I decided to give them another try and to my surprise I saw the inside tastefully decorated, the service was top knotch andmy ribeye was cooked to perfection. I went back 3 days later and had their off the charts rack of lamb.
