We love this place, though. Great food with some interesting selections. The service is attentive and friendly. The music is good but not intrusive. All reasonably priced. While I've only had a limited sampling of the foods they have to offer, I've been there three times so far and everything I've eaten is great. At lunch, it's quiet (if a little bit expensive), at at night it's vibrant and chic. The decor is nice, mixing a seemingly industrial space with what would appear to be a mid-century den or parlour. There is a breadth of options and after trying the tacos, beet salad, and squash ravioli, I have to say that I was definitely pleased by each! And they have Left Hand Mil Stout... a great beer not found in many restaurants/bars!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat if you're in the 'hoodI'd been wanting to try Burger & Barrel for a long time, especially for its bash burger. The food was good...we liked it a lot, but the bash burger wasn't as delicious or unique as anticipated. It was tasty, but I doubt that I'd ever go there again if I weren't in the neighborhood. I would totally recommend BB; the menu offers something for everyone. We had a really nice server, and she really enhanced our experience.
Two of us arrived early, so we sat at the bar, which was delightful. I was anxious to try the wine on tap, and the bartender gave me tastes beforehand, which was much appreciated.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe really appreciate the casualWe really appreciate the casual atmosphere while munching on a tasty $22 2 course lunch prix-fixe. Burgers are cooked perfection and came with delicious onion rings and fries. Buns are fluffy and meat was juicy. Only recommendation is maybe not to have your burger sliced in half as the juice runs into the buns before it makes it to your table. We were 2 not 3 as initially intended, so hostess wanted to seat us at a smaller table, which we certainly understood.
