A word from Buonarroti Ristorante - Lincoln
Welcome to Buonarroti (Bonarotee) Ristorante, named after the great renaissance artist, Michelangelo Buonarroti. Born in 1475 at Caprese, in Tuscany, he lived and worked for nearly a century. His divine paintings, sculptures and architectural works are admired world- wide.

When owner and Chef Daniel Alcantaro first began sharing his homemade red sauce, which has been part of his family for generations, everyone knew it was something special. For many years family and friends have savored his sauce and we think you will agree that it is truly extraordinary. Over the years he has created several other delightful sauces and we encourage you to try them all!!! By the way, we do love our garlic, but we are happy to go lighter if you so desire.

In our attempt to bring a taste of Old Italy to this charming and quaint community, we hope that you enjoy your dining experience.

Buon Appetito!!

Dining the Sunday before Christmas, the restaurant wasn't packed. The noise level was great. The service was friendly, fast and well-paced. The food was delicious--we enjoyed our dining experience and would recommend it to others and go back ourselves.

The food has improved since the owner, Daniel, returned to the restaurant after being absent while his newer restaurant in Sacramento was still open. Everything is very flavorful, his pastas are now made in-house (previously out of a box?). The linguini with clams is great!! The wine list is adequate for Italian fare. Prices are moderate and the atmosphere is very nice. With the opening of the Lincoln bypass, traffic and parking at Buonarotti's is much easier. One of our local favorites for sure!

Service was adequate, food wasnt as good, but not gourmet. I enjoyed my Veal Marsala, my wifes chicken picatta was either microwaved or something, it was served lukewarm. She was disappointed for sure. we enjoyed the Bruscheta, the bread was excellent. We were looking for an upper scale eatery, this was more like a family spot for Spaghetti and Pizza. I wouldnt say dont try this place, but i wasnt overly satisfied. I may give them another try when we come back to town to go to the THUNDER VALLEY CASINO. (they did say happy birthday to my wife when we arrived, that was a nice touch)

Our first time at Buonarroti. We decided to try it because of all of the good reviews. Great food and service. The spaghetti and meatballs were great. Can't wait to go back to try something else. Not very busy for a Sunday night. Going to go back on Friday for the live music.

We had a group of 12 for a family dinner, grandma's 88th birthday. Holly our server was wonderful. The appetizers were great. The meats were overcooked for some in the group. The veal is a very small portion. The flavors were good. We would go again. We love the ambiance and before this, hadn't had a bad meal. Not that it was bad but it wasn't great this time.

This restaurant is delicious! Even their simplest menu item comes out gleaming and is no way ordinary (macaroni and cheese). I typically get my usual Tortellini, but I've had their Chicken Piccata, Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna, Raviolis, plus more! I've had most of their salads and tried all their appetizers...all have been perfect! There's normal seating in the main restaurant and an event room in a completely secluded area on the other side. The event room can possibly hold 100+, but I'm not sure and could be a reception site for a wedding. I took my foodie friend here on a Friday night, she flew in from Houston (Gourmet Capital of the US) and she said it was the best food she'd had in long time and hands down the best Italian.

We just moved to Lincoln, CA and are now trying out the local venues. Buonarroti was a fabulous experience for us. The food was amazing and plentiful. The staff was very friendly and made sure our drinks kept coming (water, tea and well). We were there at 4:30 pm so the noise level was very low. This place is nice and a great spot for date nights, anniversaries and even a birthday or other celebration. They have easy access at being able to pull tables together. The bar is a good size for events or socializing. My only complaint is no Lasagne. That is a Thursday night only so keep that in mind if you crave the lasgane as much as I do. I will be back on Thursday to try that out. I think it is so special, it is a one night event ;)

The restaurant had excellent food and was a great find. We will be going back. We had the baked brie appetizer and a small pizza as an appetizer. The salami pizza had a thin crust and lots of flavor. Then we had the eggplant entree and spagetti with meatballs which was delicious. The fresh baked bread was warm and had a wonderful flavor. We understand the bread is prepared locally. The owner even stopped by our table to ask how our meal was and if we needed anything. There was several tables and one group of six yet we could visit easily. Since it was during the week and very hot outside there was less people but they said on Friday and Saturday they have a bigger crowd. Overall it was an excellent evening of good wine and food.

Have lived in Lincoln Hills for a year now and have always said I was going to check this restaurant out and I'm glad my husband and I did the food was outstanding and the service exceptional. It is truly a gem in the neighborhood. If I had one complaint it would be that the band needs to lower the microphones because it is not a large restaurant thus it was difficult to hear yourself talk over the music.

"Would we reccomend Bounarroti Ristorante?" You better believe it! The atmosphere was very relaxed. The ambiance was "laid back" with an "Old Country" feeling. The receptionist was very friendly and attentive to our wishes. The service was definitely a mark above the norm. The waitress was very knowledgeable with the food selections and made some excellent recommendations. When we mentioned that we were there with our grand daughter for her birthday, the waitress complimented her and wished her a "Happy Birthday". Then, when it came time for the delicous desert, the waitress suprised her with a Creme Brule decorated with a birthday candle! A perfect ending to an outstanding meal.

Since the owner returned to this restaurant, after closing his newer restaurant in Sacramento, the food at the Lincoln Buonarotti has become very good again. The pastas are now fresh-made in house. We thoroughly enjoyed our recent dinner there - the linguinge with clams was wonderful, the clam chowder was excellent and our waitress, Heather, was attentive, professional and knowledgable. They now have live music on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. in their adjacent Wine Bar, the waitress said it was quite busy and attracted all ages. We will put this back on our list of regular dine-out choices in our area!

Made a reservation for a special birthday, hostess had to be prompted to look for our name, and then seated us at a table. We had called to check on whether pasta was served with the entree, and were assurred it was. We then were told no, that the entrees were served with scalloped potatoes. Ordered Calamari, which came out hot, but undercooked, and batter for breading would seperate from calamari. Spinach salad that my wife had was excellent, but my Ceasar was mostly end pieces of the stalk. Our server was friendly, but at the end of the meal, was absent in regards to clearing the table. Clearly some of the staff needs training in keeping down thier converstation, as we were treated to a blow by blow discussion on a kitchen fire.

Entering the restaurant, one instantly gets the feeling you're welcome and comfortable there. We've eaten there about 6 times and my favorite area is in the back by the wine bar.... before the music starts. It's like a romantic Italian villa, intimate and quiet. The service is exceptional without being intrusive. We were never rushed but never kept waiting at the same time. The menu has a variety that will attract nearly anyone and the quality of the food is top notch. We have yet to have anything that is just average. We will keep going back!

We went for Valentine's dinner - it was pretty crowded and it felt like we were going to stand around for a long time (despite having a reservation), but it ended up only being about 10 minutes ... there just wasn't anywhere to wait without feeling like you were standing right next to people trying to eat their dinner (the bar was too crowded). Once we were seated, everything was great - the service was fast and friendly. The food was excellent. We will definitely be trying Buonarroti again!

We walked in to chaos. The front door is placed too close to the reservation desk and many many people were crammed into a very small space. They seemed very disorganized. Even though it was Valentine's Day, they needed to be a little more organized. Once we were seated, we waited a while for our waiter. Our table was off balance (it had that sea saw effect) so we requested they correct it. Once a coaster was placed under one leg, I had some glimmer of hope. We ordered appetizers and waited a very long time for delivery. Our waiter seemed annoyed most of the time and delivered plates with a hurry and without care. Dinner arrived any we were disappointed. It looked microwaved. We won't be back.
