BungalowThe Restraunt SmellThe food and service were excellent as usual. We brought friends from out of town and as soon as we walked in the door the bad smell almost made us walk out. I was embarrassed because we told our friends how nice the restraunt was. The smell was a combination of bad fish and some type of cleaning solution. We have been there at least 10 times and never experiened a problem like that. The staff was wonderfully accomodating - we loved the atmoshphere - and each of us enjoyed our meals.Short Ribs, Filet, Prime Rib Eye and the Roast Chicken - all excellent. My husband claims the caesar salad to be the best yet. The restaurant has two levels and we were taken to the less desirable downstairs area. This would be a good area for a large group but not for just my wife and I. However, i only made the reservation two hours before on a busy Saturday night. The Prime filet and the Sea Bass were both very good and flavorful. WE HAD A PARTY OF 7, SO WE REQUESTED A ROUND TABLE AND GOT ONE. AT THE VERY LAST MOMENT, 2 MEMBERS OF OUR PARTY WERE UNABLE TO COME. THEN THE 5 OF US LEFT OFFERED TO MOVE TO A SMALLER TABLE, BUT THEY JUST SAID 'NO WAY'. THEY JUST TOOK TWO CHAIRS OUT AND MADE US EVEN MORE COMFORTABLE. WE ARRIVED AT 5:00 AND HAD THE DOWNSTAIRS ROOM TO OURSELVES..COMPLETE WITH A LITTLE STOVE FIREPLACE!! WE WERE VERY PLESED WITH THE AMBIANCE OF THE RESTAURANT. WHO NEEDS A VIEW WHEN YOU HAVE SUCH A COZY, BEAUTIFUL INTERIOR. The steaks were tender and properly cooked. The ambiance was lovely and we look forward to returning soon. Dessert was scrumptious: a delice de leche cheese pie!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AM
