Bun SoHo is an amazing Vietnamese restaurant taking a fresh look at authentic Asian Cuisines. This intimate restaurant is perfect for dates, small groups, & friends looking to experience Vietnamese food straight from the source.
Bun SoHo favors a tapas style menu that is big on flavor & authentic Vietnamese taste - Favorites include king crab spring rolls, tiger shrimp, duck confit, & the two biggest hits on the appetizer menu, the short rib wrap & pork rib on sugar cane, "lollichops". The food was delicious. We bought 2 for 1 deal on travelzoo and the restaurant didnt initially want to honor both coupons even though travelzoo said nothing about one per group. In addition, ther's an automatic 20 percent tip added and tax is on the full price...not half price...so we ended up paying a fair amount for what we thought was a prepaid meal. The food was great. The restaurant not fancy but we'd go back for the review

We ordered the lunch sampler, as suggested by Open Table and had a wonderful walk through Vietnamese cuisine. You must have a cup of Vietnamese coffee to top off the meal - outstanding. We will definitely go back.

We had a fabulous time there. I read some reviews that complained about the prices. I agree that you can find cheaper food in Chinatown, however, those are places to eat and get out of! At Bun Soho, you can have a lovely, leisurely dinner in a nice restaurant, but expect appetizers in the $8-$12 range and entrees in the $12-$20 range. Beer was $5 and cocktails around $12. What really is important, though, is that the food is really good. We had the crab roll(fried) and veggie roll for apps - very good. I had the steak bun which was tasty if not stunningly good. My boyfriend had the crispy salmon, and it was sublime. Also, sticky rice was tasty. And I LOVED the Julie Lycheetini -- if you like the flavor of rose, get this cocktail!
