We went to French cabaret night this trip to Bullfinchs. Chanteuse Annie Royer singing French songs with the accordion accompanist playing along. Totally charming. Along with a fantastic 3-course prix fixe French dinner of pate appetizer, beef bourguignon entree and dessert, another fantastic night in Sudbury.

It had been quite awhile since my wife and I had been to Bullfinch's. The menu was fairly small but had several different entrées. My wife had a chicken dish with mushroom ravioli's that was excellent. I had the Lamb sirloin special it was also excellent, both meals were cooked perfectly. we had ordered an appetizer goat cheesy fries it was called. It was okay it could have used a little more goat cheese on it. it was basically thick cut potato slices with a goat cheese cream sauce the goat cheese flavor was very understated it needed a little more cheese. Service was great. Our server was very attentive, all in all it was a very good night.

This is one of my favorite places to bring my mother. We had a particularly lovely and delicious dinner this week. Especially loved the vegetables...roasted carrots and parsnips with bits if sauteed kale. We like that we can order smaller portion sizes which we find more than generous.

Received Bullfinches gift card for our anniversary. The restaurant was fine. Our waiter was helpful & nice. My wife ordered a pecan chicken and rated her meal as good. I ordered the filet mignon cooked medium. It was served rare to medium and had a strange taste. There were four of us and the bill came to $180.00. When I asked my wife if she would recommend it to others, she hesitated and said "maybe". Over all we were somewhat disappointed. When you spend that much money you want to leave feeling your investment was well spent.

For starters, I chose this place to meet up with friends I hadn't seen in 10 years based on a prior positive brunch experience here, and I felt the visit was very similar. They have live music (not intrusive at all- very pleasant and atmospheric) and a great brunch menu. I was with two girlfriends and a 3 year old. They accommodated the child really well, we never felt rushed on the grown-up side either. The only criticism I would give is that my water glass was very small and I had to ask our poor waitress for refills like 4 or 5 times. She was always there to ask, and gave no issues about it, but I felt bad. I have had both the regular and the lobster Benedict and they are two thumbs up for sure.

We used to live in Sudbury and this was one of our favorite spots. After moving into Boston where we have loads of good choices, we chose to try Bullfinches again when visiting old friends. It was wonderful. I especially appreciate the smaller portion option which is extemely rare and very welcome if one wants dessert. The Chicken Veronese is delicious. The flourless chocolate cake is perfect. You can't miss with this place and the prices are very reasonable. I wish they'd open a branch in the city!

We went there to celebrate my mother's birthday for Sunday Brunch, from the moment we walked in the service was fantastic. They brought over a huge ballon for my mother and some confetti - a really nice personal touch. As it was so nice out we were able to enjoy their outside seating and the service and the food was delicious. They never disappoint...

We went here to celebrate my mothers birthday. It was a place that got great recommendations but when we left we were questioning why. We got seated and 20 minutes later we still had no drinks. The server was clearly overwhelmed but she was not as friendly as she should have been and kept making excuses and never apologizing. The food was just ok. I had a pasta and it was so bland, there was no flavor to it at all. The rest of the people at the table were not impressed and one had to send the food back for being overcooked. It was just a disappointing night and it did not seem that the restaurant cared enough to do something to help make our night better. I do not think I would return.

We have eaten here before and the food and service where good. We went on Friday night with our two children and sat outside. They give thr kids these bendable sticks to play with. My son wanted a different color and we asked the waitress to check for is and this annoyed here. My wife ended up getting up and getting a new package for him. The waitress came and we said we were all set to order all at once. We have learned with two kids (8 and 6) it is easy to get the food as quick as possible. For some reason, this clearly annoyed here and even my wife noticed. This dinner was for my wife's birthday. So, we get the food and we never see the waitress again until the end when we needed the check.

This is a favorite restaurant. The food is always delicious, the menu is interesting and varied, the staff is professional and cordial. The duck is perfection: crisp on the outside, moist on the inside and served with a flavorful sauce. The potato pancakes are the best in the world! I won't ever make mine again. I've been going for years and think they've gone through some subtle and not so subtle changes over that time and have really hit their stride. Friendly staff, really good food (on our night, their special crabcake sliders were probably the best crabcakes any of us ever had), and it's really a good price for what you get in the environment you are in. Would recommend for a romantic night out, a birthday party, or even a drink and appetizer at the bar.

The owner sat us, (we found out her title later from the couple sitting next to us) Large single balloons were placed about for celebrations, very nice touch. The bus boy and waitress were very attentive and polite. It was a wonderful evening. Highly suggest it for dates. Also, do try the desserts!

Bullfinchs is one of my favorite Boston area restaurants. Every meal I've ever had tastes pleasing, out of the ordinary, fresh and clean. On this last visit, I can report that the lamb chops are succulent. The roast duck is perfect: moist meat, crisp skin. The sauce is sweet tangy and light. The potato pancakes are perfection! I think of myself as making these very well, but the offering here is the best I've ever tasted. As for desserts we had the berry crisp and it was perfect: not too sweet, the berries were juicy and full of flavor, and the topping was crunchy and completely satisfying. When there are 4 people, it can be enjoyable to try the sampler desert. I've had that in the past and it has always been a big hit.

We went to a special dinner -- 3 courses and accompanying wine -- for $30. There were two selections for each of the courses. I had a watermelon, arugula and feta salad, salmon with orange and fennel, and brownie - berry trifle. The salad was pretty good, but would have been better with more greens and less cheese. The watermelon and feta was a great combination. The salmon was very good, but the fennel was served cold and did nothing to enhance the dish. The brownie trifle was surprisingly good.

The meal and their treatment of us was great. Food was special and the service was prompt and efficient. The only concern I had was that the table for six was really a table for four with one person added on each end. It made it a little tight. Admittedly this was a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy. The wait staff did a great job removing plates and glasses as they were emptied to make space available on the table so we were never truly inconvenienced.

We were very disappointed after seeing high reviews for this place. We are new to the area and were really hoping to find a nice place near by for dinner for our family. The food is very high priced for what you get and is nothing special. We will not be back. I think the real kicker was the children's menu. $12 for a kids meal and my oldest daughter was given maybe a cup of pasta...no veggie or protein. My youngest had the most disgusting chicken fingers we have ever tasted, dry and no flavor. Maybe they just don't want kids to dine there? We will keep searching for a dining option in Sudbury.
