Found the décor modern and inviting with a nice view of downtown Delray Beach. They serve a wide selection of Asian dishes including sushi, Thai, Chinese and Japanese. My girlfriend and I shared a shrimp and scallop dim sum, kobe beef skewers and a stir fry with shrimp along with a side of the vegetable fried rice. All dishes were great and the fried rice was better than anything at a regular Chinese take-out. The service was friendly and attentive with little or no wait for our plates. We have our main home in Chicago and have a lot of great places all over the city but they take second place to Buddha. The food is superb and allways consistent. The service is right on. The wait staff was very attentive an courteous. The drink menu offers unique delights not found in other restaurants as they have numerous saki specialty drinks such as The Last Samurai, made from saki, cucumber and quite refreshing. Edamame, shashimi and a rd dragon roll were ordered. The edamame was typical but nonetheless tasted quite good. The sashimi came out fresh and thick sliced requiring a couple bites for each piece. Got there a little early and hit happy hour. Prices at happy hour were exceptional for drinks and food. Continued on to dinner which was very good. Service was exceptional. Well informed,friendly and the pace was great. We live in the area and have walked by many times and have said we should try this place. I had passed it walking up and down Atlantic Ave and always meant to try it--so we finally did. We had a terrific time. We took advantage of the great happy hour (half price off much of the menu before 6PM) and ordered a variety of soups, salads, skewers, rolls and more. Everything was excellent, thought the service was below normal probably due to a huge party that had arrived and demanded a lot of the server's attention. Still, she was nice and we really did not care what order the food came out. Not only was the food great as usual, but, Gus our waiter was so kind to my 2 small grandchildren. Thank you for a great experience and for such great service. I will be back with my visiting friends in April! It will be one of my new go tos. Our waiter was adorable and sweet, Orpheo. He helped us with the menu and we chose some delicious dumplings for a starter. We then had a fabulous lobster dish, beautifully presented, had both tempura battered lobster as well as lobster rolls- a take off of a popular "lobster monster dish" served at many other restaurants - but better. The fried rice was unbelievably good and very light with shrimp, crab, chicken, and pork. The duck pancakes were more like a crepe than a pancake- so light and delicious. Managers went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable table. Didn't like one of the drinks and they took it back right away. Bill can add up pretty quickly but the quality and service is there. The Waygu beef and even the chicken skewers were exceptional. Fun spot with great food. Very cool but not snobby.
