A word from Buddakan - Atlantic City
Buddakan has been called “a temple of modern Asian cuisine.” But it’s also a testament to the possibilities of inspired design. Upon entering, the first thing one sees is the surreal Asian garden surrounded by multi-level archways and 25-foot trees that seem to grow through rocks, footbridges and the ceiling itself. The dramatic atmosphere and enchanting karma is enhanced by the presence of a gigantic Golden Buddha that watches over the entire restaurant from a head of a 24-foot communal dining room table. The menu portrays an innovative interpretation of Asian Cuisine that matches the ambience in terms of creativity, inspiration and its capacity to satisfy.   • "I've been to this restaurant in both Philly and AC. The Philly location, the food is better. Overall it's a fancy looking PF Chang, and don't get me wrong, the decor is very neat and for those people who don't get out often would be sure to please. But for a true foodie, it's more kitch then kitchen. Oh, and the servers barely say boo while running table to table. If your 23 looking to impress a date on a weekend in AC, and your not very exploring with food, this might be a good choice. For anyone looking for a upscale meal worthy of the check price, it's a one and done stop."

  • "From the first person you encounter everyone is completely professional with a smile. The list of drinks is a great mixture of American, Asian, typical, and speciality. Dare to try something new and delicious? I recommend the Zen-gria. My wife and I did the dinner tasting and enjoyed everything! From the appetizers: spring rolls with a delicious wasabi mustard, edename (spelling) filled ravioli, and the dumplings accompanied with soy sauce. I could just keep going and going. However, try for yourself! You won't be disappointed!"

  • "Pretty much as solid of an experience as I had a few yrs ago at the Philadelphia location. Went here for my birthday dinner a few days ago. This place does not disappoint. I ordered the lamb chops, lobster fried rice, edamame ravioli, & the sorbet trio (coconut rum, guava pineapple, & cherry blossom). I also tried the crab & shrimp spring rolls & the duck breast. Every friggin' thing was amazing, but the sorbet really threw me for a loop. It was outstanding and easily THE best sorbet I've ever eaten. I was stuffed, but I still ate all of it. You simply cannot go wrong here. Great ambiance, although the bathrooms may be a bit TOO dark (think too dark in terms of touching up make-up etc.), stellar and attentive service, and delicious food."

  • "Everything on the menu is superb but I don't recommend going their starving. 2 people can easily rack up $150 bill including tip with 1 drink each plus food. And I am no 500lb guy. Between myself and my girlfriend we are less than 300lbs combined. We got 2 drinks total, appetizer of edamame ravioli (Serving of 3 typically, add one more was an additional $5), crab fried rice, salmon, peppered beef and a side of tempura vegetables. We were very full but finished everything."

We had the Asian salad which was drenched in thick dressing, the spring rolls which were tough and not fresh, and the ravioli which was very doughy. While the atmosphere is very nice, and the service was great. For the price and quality of food, we won't be rushing back anytime soon."

  • "My boyfriend and I went to Buddakan for a quiet, romantic dinner. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and the wine menu was quite long and descriptive. The main reason we chose this location was due to the dark-lit atmosphere and their vegetarian options. There are not many options for vegetarians in Atlantic City but Buddakan had delicious options. The edamame ravioli was exceptional and we also loved the stir-fry broccoli, spiced tofu with cashews, and banana spring rolls with macadamia nut ice cream. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was amazing."

A lot of money for what was basically sugar water- sent it back. Stick to the Sake."
