A word from Buddakan - Atlantic City
Buddakan has been called “a temple of modern Asian cuisine.” But it’s also a testament to the possibilities of inspired design. Upon entering, the first thing one sees is the surreal Asian garden surrounded by multi-level archways and 25-foot trees that seem to grow through rocks, footbridges and the ceiling itself. The dramatic atmosphere and enchanting karma is enhanced by the presence of a gigantic Golden Buddha that watches over the entire restaurant from a head of a 24-foot communal dining room table. The menu portrays an innovative interpretation of Asian Cuisine that matches the ambience in terms of creativity, inspiration and its capacity to satisfy. A delectably imaginative fusion of Chinese, French and Asian styles that results in dishes that exotic yet comforting – all prepared with perfectionist attention to the smallest detail.
Buddakan’s spectacular yet dreamlike ambience adds a new dimension to the array of destinations at the Pier at Ceasars.

  • "If you like a variety to your meal try the tasting menu at Buddakahn. The selections were perfect and there was plenty of food. It was a perfect way enjoy the entire menu. I also thought the price of the tasting menu was appropriate."

  • "Though the food was decent, it was not worth the price at all. The food was lukewarm upon arrival at the table. I understand it is in a casino, but it was not worth it."

  • "We love Buddakan. The food is always great, service is amazing, and never waiting around when you have a reservation!!!!"

  • "Very beautiful restaurant with an incredible ambience. Sweet potato mashed were incredible along with the sea bass and sashimi appetizer."

  • "I've been to this restaurant in both Philly and AC. The Philly location, the food is better. Overall it's a fancy looking PF Chang, and don't get me wrong, the decor is very neat and for those people who don't get out often would be sure to please. But for a true foodie, it's more kitch then kitchen. Oh, and the servers barely say boo while running table to table. If your 23 looking to impress a date on a weekend in AC, and your not very exploring with food, this might be a good choice. For anyone looking for a upscale meal worthy of the check price, it's a one and done stop."

  • "From the first person you encounter everyone is completely professional with a smile. The list of drinks is a great mixture of American, Asian, typical, and speciality. Dare to try something new and delicious? I recommend the Zen-gria. My wife and I did the dinner tasting and enjoyed everything! From the appetizers: spring rolls with a delicious wasabi mustard, edename (spelling) filled ravioli, and the dumplings accompanied with soy sauce. I could just keep going and going. However, try for yourself! You won't be disappointed!"

  • "I've been to Buddakan several times and it never disappoints! I love their edadamame ravioli! It's one of the best things I have even tasted! Great experience."

  • "Everything was delicious! My fiance and I went for our anniversary, and they brought us complementary champagne with dessert. It was a little loud, but I think it was mainly due to the large group of about 30 sitting next to us celebrating a 30th birthday. Would highly recommend!"

  • "We had a business meeting with one of our most important clients at the Buddakan recently. The service, food and ambience were fantastic. We ordered one of the chef's tasting pages and were pleased with the quality, variety and amount of food. I would defintely recommend Buddakan to others and look forward to taking friends there."

  • "Pretty much as solid of an experience as I had a few yrs ago at the Philadelphia location. Went here for my birthday dinner a few days ago. This place does not disappoint. I ordered the lamb chops, lobster fried rice, edamame ravioli, & the sorbet trio (coconut rum, guava pineapple, & cherry blossom). I also tried the crab & shrimp spring rolls & the duck breast. Every friggin' thing was amazing, but the sorbet really threw me for a loop. It was outstanding and easily THE best sorbet I've ever eaten. I was stuffed, but I still ate all of it. You simply cannot go wrong here. Great ambiance, although the bathrooms may be a bit TOO dark (think too dark in terms of touching up make-up etc.), stellar and attentive service, and delicious food."

  • "Everything on the menu is superb but I don't recommend going their starving. 2 people can easily rack up $150 bill including tip with 1 drink each plus food. And I am no 500lb guy. Between myself and my girlfriend we are less than 300lbs combined. We got 2 drinks total, appetizer of edamame ravioli (Serving of 3 typically, add one more was an additional $5), crab fried rice, salmon, peppered beef and a side of tempura vegetables. We were very full but finished everything."

  • "We were a bit disappointed with the food at Buddakan. We had the Asian salad which was drenched in thick dressing, the spring rolls which were tough and not fresh, and the ravioli which was very doughy. While the atmosphere is very nice, and the service was great. For the price and quality of food, we won't be rushing back anytime soon."

  • "Buddha con is an awesome restaurant. It's a little pricey but great for special occasions!"

  • "From start to finish this was a notable experience. The service was fast. The food was visually perfect. The taste was better. We tried a new sake and were blown away. The Akita sake is just perfect. It's smooth, full flavored, gentle and refreshing all at the same time. Definitely try the charred steak and the duck!"

  • "Food was literally UNBELIEVABLE! Service was great. They brought out a wrong dish and didn't bill us for it even though we loved it! Great scene as well. Couldn't be better!"

  • "Took my wife out for dinner and it was great from the time we walked in to the time we left!!! It was a great time and we will be going back soon."

  • "You won't be sorry. This is a better dining experience (in a mall no less) than at any of the high-end casino restaurants"

  • "My boyfriend and I went to Buddakan for a quiet, romantic dinner. Everything on the menu sounded amazing and the wine menu was quite long and descriptive. The main reason we chose this location was due to the dark-lit atmosphere and their vegetarian options. There are not many options for vegetarians in Atlantic City but Buddakan had delicious options. The edamame ravioli was exceptional and we also loved the stir-fry broccoli, spiced tofu with cashews, and banana spring rolls with macadamia nut ice cream. Everything tasted wonderful and the service was amazing."

  • "Buddakan is without question our favorite dinning experience in Atlantic City. Our food was delicious as usual, the service was great and the ambiance is colorful. We went during the middle of the week so it was a little quieter than usual. I always get the edamame ravioli and they do not disappoint!"

  • "We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here. Food was delicious and service was exceptional. Cannot wait to return for another outing!"

  • "Went here with my fiance for our last anniversary before getting married. We sat in a half circle booth which was very cozy and romantic. The food was absolutely amazing! We had the zengria-delicious! If you ever visit, you MUST get the Spicy Rock Shrimp Bao Buns-best thing ever! We had a great time. It is worth the price!"

  • "I live everything about this place. Food is amazing. Drinks are tasty. Staff is great. The place is dark and perfect for talking either with a date or a bunch of friends. I make sure i eat here every time I am in AC."

  • "I enjoyed my dinner during my visit in Atlantic City with my husband. My favorite dishes are Buddakan"s signatures both the Pan Seared Sea Bas and Filet Miñon. They were excellent!! As for my cocktails I could not get enough of "Serenity" absolutely delish! I plan on visiting other locations near my area!"

  • "The food was great but the portions are ridiculously small. The appetizers aren't shareable but the prices are."
    Dined on 3/8/2014
  • "Food was fresh and beautifully presented. Good portions. Staff very pleasant. Fun place to dine. On the pricier side but worth it. We had whole fish- excellent. Duck breast was fine but kind of bland considering it was supposed to 5 Spice. Sake Flight very nice. Specialty cocktails waaaaaay too sweet. Skip them. A lot of money for what was basically sugar water- sent it back. Stick to the Sake."

  • "This was my first time at Buddakan and I fell in love! The place is beautiful, very subtle lighting, comfortable vibe. Waiter was superb! Very helpful and attentative. The food was outstanding and we were pleasantly surprised because it was restaurant week we thought maybe portions would be small but they were just right. We left very happy!"

  • "We felt like we were eating at McDonald's. Not more than one minute after we ordered..the food was brought to the table. Also, we came for restaurant week which was advertised through 3/8. Told it ended the night before. NOT HAPPY about this. Not sure if we'll return."

  • "We went here during restaurant week. I had the salmon which was delicious. The King crab appetizer was nice. and desserts were decadent! Incredible atmosphere above all with dark lighting and a large Buddha adorning the main dining area. Cocktails were delicious - my girlfriend loved the Serenity. I'd love to go back on my next trip to AC."

  • "Took my daughter for restaurant week, prefix menu around $15.00 each. Actually with tip spent $70.00, so be prepared. Just get tap water and nothing extra. Will not return, although pretty and exotic to dine in, not worth the price."
