Diner Reviews
  • "expensive!! We had the scallops and whole baked fish and they were just as good as the service, but this was an expensive meal, so I would recommend it for a special occasion."

  • "After reading several great reviews, we tried Bud & Alley's and were sorely disappointed. The food, while presented well, was mediocre at best. Great service, location and reputation serves as an excuse for an overpriced, overblown meal. Spend your evening instead at Great Southern in Seaside or Cafe 30A down the road in Seagrove. Far superior food at either of those locations. Bud & Alley's can either ride their location forever and become a tourist trap or they can prove themselves worthy and serve their customers what they deserve. Try harder, Bud & Alley's."

  • "We enjoyed a nice evening with our children and their significant other's. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed the gulf view as we ate and visited. We will definitely be going back during our next trip to Seacrest Beach."

  • "We had a great time at Bud & Alley's . . . our waiter (sadly, I can't remember his name), is a fantastic waiter; we've had his service before. I really wish I could remember his name to give him due credit, but I can't. WONDERFUL waiter. My only complaint is that there were a lot of noisy middle school and high school kids hanging around. Some were sitting at tables together and actually eating, but others were just hanging around those tables chatting with their friends. If they're not sitting down and dining, they should say what they need to say and then leave. If they don't, the staff should ask them to leave. Food is GREAT! (a bit overpriced, but it's due to the location) and the ambiance is wonderful (when spring break is over)."

  • "Bud & Alleys is a great restaurant and they know it. Hostess staff is rude and condescending because they know that they're restaurant's food is the reason for the demand so they'll pretty much say take it or leave it to you since they know there's 5 more right behind you. Overall, great food and ok service with a smug staff. They will also refuse to split a ticket!"

  • "Too bad that they are participating in Open Table but offered no points for dining especially when they are such a busy restaurant. Had to wait t be seated at least 15 minutes after scheduled reservation time."

  • "You expect most beachfront restaurants to have bad food and great views. Bud and Alley's actually has great food to go with the views. It's a classic Seaside place. Good service, good food. Crab cakes are the best. All crab and little breading. Scallops with grits are also awesome. It's a must-do in Seaside!"

  • "I have literally been eating at Bud & Alleys my entire life! My parents were well known regulars before my time and we visited regullularly until my activities and those of my brothers caused a pause to our regular patronage. I have recently returned to the 30A community and my parents showed interest in eating at B&A's for their 25th wedding aniversary (they had eaten there the night of their wedding). What an amazing evening! Not only was the food AMAZING, I had the crab stuffed flounder, but our glasses were always full, we were given a great table, our waiter was entertaining, and they attempted to find an old recipe for us that we had enjoied as a family in my youth."

  • "Great restaurant with great food. They tend to use local products which helps the local economy. Fun place to goo"

  • "Bud and Alley's has always been a local 30A favorite for years. The quality of the food and service has suffered over the past few years. Our visit this week convinced us that there has been a concerted effort to fix these problems. In fact, our server told us as much. Our Valentines Day dinner was awesome. I ordered the Scallops and my wife ordered Bud and Alley's signature dish, the Crab Cakes. Both entree's were absolutely wonderful. Our server was great and the entire experience was reminiscent of years past when Bud and Alley's was in its prime. I would highly recommend a retry."

  • "Bud and Alley's provides the best food and service on 30-A. We once again had a wonderful dinner!"

  • "Really a fine dinner with crab cakes full of nothing but fresh crabmeat and that remoulade sauce was to die for. The fried crab claws were a little dry and not very meaty, but good enough to order again but wish they would serve them hotter."

  • "We were recommended to Bud & Alley's by friends. By going there, we missed out on another restaurant that we have been to before and is incredible, so going to Bud & Alley's was a chance. Well, the gamble paid off. I thought the service couldn't have been better. The food (and I am very picky) was superb. The presentation was very nice and I would definitely go there again."

  • "Whenever you get to eat in close proximity to the beach on 30A, it is wonderful but this place is really lovely. The food is spectacular from the creamy grits to the Seaside Shrimp, it was all very well presented and tasted very delicious! The service is excellent too!"
