Delicious food with great service. my steak was cooked to perfection and my wife's lamb was "the best I've ever had...tender, juicy and flavorful". a note to Open Table...when making online reservations I had this feeling that I needed to double check with the restaurant. It's a good thing I did as they did not have the date I chose - it was a week later... i had printed the reservation receipt for my records just in case. So perhaps there's a glitch in the program... Aside from that our dinner was spectacular."

  • "The food was good, with several options for side dishes, but considered the menu pricey. One of the specials was a $35 halibut dish, way overpriced. The menu is pretty much beef driven. The place is popular, as the people were constantly coming in during our dinner. It is in a good location, and across the street from The Palms, if you are attending a show. Ample parking nearby."

The cream of mushroom soup was very flavorful & the warm sourdough bread never stopped arriving just when we needed it!The service is excellent & the back room is quiet for a birthday party!   • "My husband and I have been going to Buckhorn for 25 years. We stopped going for many year (about 10 years ago) because of the service. Service is back! Last Friday (8/8) booked a table for four to take my best friend to dinner with her hubby. We brought a bottle of Champagne. Bottle service is only $12. The food was great but our waiter, Rodrigo, was outstanding. Great personality. Funny. Charming. I handed him my credit card behind my hubby's back and then said I had to go to the ladies room & excused myself. I signed the card & told Rodrigo that "we always have fist fights about who pays". As we were about to leave, he handed the receipt book to my friends hubby with a note that said "I didn't want to start a fist fight". Too cute!"

We had a wonderful dinner; everything was prepared perfectly. I had steak and lobster (one of their specials for the night) and my boyfriend had teriyaki steak skewers with a glass of wine for me and a beer for him. The prices were very reasonable - around $75 ($90 including tip.)"

  • "We enjoy coming here whenever we can. The servers are superb and the food is absolutely amazing. The meat is always cooked to order perfectly, the spinach artichoke dip is delicious, but our favorite is the Tomahawk special on weekends. A giant rib bone with the full chunk of rib-eye meat still attached and carved right at your table. Every time we order it, people look over at the table and this time someone even took a picture of it as our server was carving it for us. Love the food and service here every time."

  • "Have wanted to make the trip from Folsom to the Winters Buckhorn and finally made it happen. Overall we really enjoyed the experience, great beef entrees with a large selection. The service wasn't the greatest but it wasn't a huge let down either - the waitress was a little quirky. The wild game mounts really align with the restaurant name and as a hunter made the evening that much more fun. Though we didn't take advantage of the outdoor seating it looked to be very comfortable and next time (there will be a next time) maybe we will ask to sit outdise."
