We got the round table I requested. I did not realize my reservation was really priority seating. Shared brownie sundae for dessert, could have eaten several of them. Only issue is with drinks at any Buckhead Life restaurant. They are without a doubt the weakest of any bar or restaurant in any city I have ever seen. For $9.50 you should get some alcohol. When you only have one and pay in the market range for a drink at a fine restaurant, it should be representative, but they are far from it. They work hard on their food, but the drinks are sorely lacking in value and taste. The food was excellent. I got the hanger steak, and my wife got the open faced salmon sandwich. The grits that came with mine were the best I have ever had. Both excellent choices. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the priority seating wait. So they don't take actual reservations but we still got sat after another couple that came in after we did. We made our "priority reservation" for 7:30 and these guys come strolling in at 7:50. Who knew that all you had to do was complain to get what you want... It was very upscale and pricier than a regular diner. The place was packed on a Thursday evening! There is $2 valet parking and free parking across the street or on the side of building. We were eventually seated at a booth but it was terribly humid n hot, as if we were sitting outside. They moved us to another booth that was great. The waiter was ok, but slightly forgetful and not as attentive. However, the hostess and manager were amazing!!! You can tell that this restaurant cherishes each and every customer. And my family goes out a lot. He was hilarious, quick witted, kept us laughing, and very attentive. Not only did we enjoy our food but Brian made our experience that much better. If it wasn't for him it would just be another restaurant. The food was great but the experience was topped with a cherry because of him. A great food menu, drink menu and wait staff. Our only complaint this time is that our blue cheese chips were barely warm..but since this is first time in 20 years that our chips were not perfect we will be back. They have old fashion diner food and drinks as well as an upscale wine list, half bottles of champagne and an upscale menu. Seriously, if you have never been, you need to go, you won't be disappointed. Lunch, Brunch or Dinner, they are all good, trust me, I have been to all of them!! It is basically an expensive diner with upscale atmosphere. The food was good, the service was excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed brunch. We were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday a day early, and told our server. He brought out a banana cream pie complete with candles and happy birthday on the plate. It was such a kind gesture! It certainly made the night. Note: do not blow out the candles hard. I was covered in powdered sugar a coconut flakes!
