  • "Seating through Open Table was flawless! We arrived early and were seated promptly. The wine and food were very tasty. We also shared two desserts and I can tell why they win awards - they are decadent and delicious. Our server Stephanie was very attentive and the persons who served the food were very precise. The maitre d' came over to our table to check on how the food was. We didn't feel rushed even though the restaurant was packed - this is admirable since often in restaurants when they are busy they try and rush you!!!"

  • "Food & Service was the worst we have experienced in quite a while."

  • "My husband and I had dinner at the Buckhead Diner on Wednesday. I had the Fried Chicken Plate and he had the Lump Crab Cake dinner. Both were amazing! We will definitely visit again."

  • "I could hardly hear the person in the booth with me it was very noisy - on a Tuesday night."

  • "Food was excellent, service was excellent, waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and was very helpful with selections. Manager came by to check on things and referred to us by name, which was very unusual. A nice, personal touch. This restaurant has been there for many years, and the quality of the food and service explains the longevity."

  • "We arrived a bit late, but got seated right away due to Priority Seating. It was a busy place, but our waiter, Jeff, was very attentive and positive! We ate some winning dishes(Meatloaf and Grouper). I ordered the Banana Pie. One piece was enough to split and still enjoy its yummyness! Fun eating at this happy place. We never felt as if the staff was rushing us. We will return. Maisie"

  • "We walked in & were seated immediately; there were folks waiting. We always enjoy Buckhead Diner & it did not disappoint. Took our four children, 14 to 4 years old for the 1st time. They were very pleased; even had a kiddo size fried chicken (only offered two days a week) & mac & cheese. Desserts were very good; white chocolate banana cream pie!"

  • "As usual, our small group had a great evening at Buckhead Diner. Food was delicious and we were seated a few minutes before our priority seating request. Great place! Definitely recommend for a nice evening out with friends."

  • "First visit, food was ok, nothing spectacular, fourth of July weekend, not very busy. The greek restaurant next door, part of the same group seemed to be very busy."

  • "Not a fan of the "Priority Seating" - I prefer a real reservation. We were also extremely disappointed that the "summer dining promotional card" that you sent us could not be used with a Buckhead Life gift card we had. From my view, the gift card was paid for with cash and should be able to be used like cash. We were not at all pleased with the "small print" positioning. I suppose this promotion backfired because we won't be eating at any Buckhead Life Group restaurants for awhile."

  • "In a nutshell, on a quiet Friday 4th of July, the kitchen was far from its best. Tasteless trout and a very undercooked (raw) pork chop comprised dinner. To their credit, the manager took it (the pork chop) off the bill and comped dessert, but the experience left us wondering if the famed Diner was beginning to slip???"

  • "Buckhead Diner never disappoints. Menu items are dependable and there's always a new twist on food to try. Management and wait staff know how to make diners feel welcome, making each visit memorable."

  • "I arrived and was told by have valet parking attendant there was no room at the parking lot at the restaurant and I would have to park across the street. The place across the street was closed, so I parked and walked back across to the diner. It was very very crowded. The servers and chefs I believe were overwhelmed as items we received were missing extras and the desert we chose we were told they were out of.Once again there was no rosé wine on the wine list. My friend and I had to tell the server we were not in a big hurry. When we finally got our coffee the double espresso was very thin without much flavor. My friend did get valet parked as she arrived about 20 minutes after I did"

  • "Sorry to report the food quality is not what it used to be. The fried chicken is not cut traditionally and is dry and over-salted (or over seasoned). Slaw was liked by no one. s & S fish combo (shrimp and sole is overcooked and dry. It's all ok but not pano's quality. Sorry."

  • "We had to wait almost an hour. When we arrived we were told that the Priority Seating list was delayed about 35 minutes. We do not know how many people had walked in and were placed ahead of us."

  • "In spite of "priority seating" level we were told our reservation for 7:45 would not be honored due to huge crowd of diners and that we would have at least 45 minutes wait time - NO priority!. We left and will not return. Disgraceful - and NO apology at Buckhead Diner."

  • "Priority seating was a joke. Had a 715 time-finally seated @ 805"

  • "Priority Seating is NOT the same as a "reservation." We booked 7:15pm on a Sunday night and finally got seated at 8pm. Not "priority" in any stretch of the imagination. Overall upscale trendy "Diner". Food is decent although pricey. Portions are generous. Restaurant needs to get a handle on the wait times. Too many unhappy campers trying to find a spot to sit and wait."

  • "Blue Cheese Chips are not as good as they used to be. The veggies sandwich is delicious but very messy. Needs to be a pressed sandwich with smaller cut up pieces of vegetables so the large portabello and red pepper are not sliding out at every bite. The beef sandwich was phenomenal."

  • "My wife and I went here for June's Buckhead Life "Dine Around" restaurant. We arrived a few minutes before our "priority seating" time and were quickly seated. We were immediately greeted by our server who took our drink orders. Our server was a little spacey, but she checked on us regularly. Her assistant kept our water glasses full and they cleared off extra plates quickly. We had the beet salad as an appetizer which was excellent; lots of beets and goat cheese with only a small bed of lettuce. For entrees, my wife had a fantastic fried chicken and I had a wonderful veal and mushroom meatloaf. As good as those were, the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae was the best thing we tried. We will return...but next month, we are off to Chops!"

  • "I have always enjoyed dining at Buckhead Diner. My dining partner was new to dining at Buckhead Diner and was impressed, as was I, with the friendly and attentive service given by our server, Michael. I decided to try something new and ordered the pork chop while my friend opted for the meatloaf. I had ordered the pork chop to be cooked medium (as recommended) and was tasty. The meatloaf was yummy with a wonderful mushroom flavor, but not overpowering. The potatoes were simply prepared and divine. The noise level can be quite 'energetic' during the dinner hour and yet you can still have a conversation without feeling as if you have to shout at your dining partner(s). Buckhead restaurant group has a gem with the Buckhead Diner."

  • "Having not dined at Buckhead Diner in a year or so, I was excited to receive my summer dine around card, featuring Buckhead Diner. Though we had priority seating for 8:30, we still were not seated for about 20 min. In the meantime, I had a lemondrop cocktail, having been told they had the best. What a disappointment! It was nothing more than sugar water with a trace of lemon. The Maytag blue cheese chips we ordered are a classic and reliable great appetizer. Mac and cheese tots-not so much. The entrees were good, not great, and the service was abrubt and hasty. Several of the servers also wore stained jackets, giving an air of uncleanliness to the experience. All my previous dining experiences have been good, so I hope this was an anomoly."

  • "Buckhead Diner has consistently served up great food and service.A few of the original dishes are still on the menu and are very popular. The mushroom/veal meatloaf is a standard that is always good. Great new items on the menu."

  • "One would expect Wednesday night to at 6 to be a little slower. Business was brisk. Unfortunately our blue chips and our hamburgers were overcooked. The fisk filet sandwich was superb by contrast. Strike it up to a hurried evening because usually this comfortable food destination is exactly whats in order. I will go again, just a little surprise by this slip up of a usually very good restaurant."

  • "I would recommend with some caveats. The BD is consistently good food. Nothing outstandingly delicious. I think people like it for its unique interior design and atmosphere. I had the vegetable plate and it was supremely BLAND. The best food here probably are the 'diner'-type items : burgers, blue cheese chips, etc."

  • "Great place to have a business lunch or catch up with friends."

  • "This flagship of the Buckhead life group seems to be fading a bit –hopefully just off their usual game. While staff are their usually talented selves , the recent revamp of the menu speaks to cutbacks (one roll for two people –come on really). Tuna was almost past it and the egg it was served with was old. My Steak had to be sent back (way overdone) and its replacement was full of gristle—and at $30 Longhorn would have been better . Two dirty plates to start speaks to the back room not paying attention and the menu changes are just and cheapening of their usual fine fare! Dare I say our love affair is over after all these years? We will try to romance the old girl in a month or so to see if she is feeling better."

  • "Our server, Erin, was terrific! She was very knowledgeable and personable. The only negative for me was the strange odor in the restaurant. It's not a food smell, but I'm not sure what it is. Otherwise, great place."

  • "The Diner was good as always. We had a simple early dinner. Got seated right away. Had the blue cheese chips which we love. My dinner companion had a burger, a little over cooked, but still very good. I had the Chicken Cobb salad which was very good but I wish it were a true Cobb salad with everything chopped instead of sectioned off on the platter. Egg, avocado and chicken were chunky and didn't toss together well. Also, seemed like all the salad dressing was on the bottom of the plate. It was almost as if the salad had been layer with the dressing on the bottom, then the lettuce and then the fixings. Used my Summer Dine Around so the price was right. Could have used more AC. About half way thru dinner it got hot."

  • "I visited Atlanta last week for the first time in years. I was on a business trip and was looking for something new, not a chain restaurant. A friend recommended Buckhead Diner for dinner. The experience was wonderful and I loved the Southern Hospitality. i restaurant was packed so I knew the meal would be fantastic. You have to order the house chips and banana pie!"

  • "Love Buckhead Diner. We're regulars and enjoy the atmosphere and simple, yet classic, menu. They have something for everyone and their signature dishes really are what they do best. The restaurant is fancier than the name would imply yet keeps a casual and inviting presence that accepts all parties. Not a place I would bring a large group but perfect for a lunch or dinner with some friends or a date."

  • "There were four of us, each ordering a different entree. All were absolutely delicious. The wine prices were very reasonable. Plus, the strawberry shortcake with the lavender-flavored ice cream provided the perfect ending to a great evening. Our server -- and overall service -- were exceptional. The only slightly negative was the noise level, but it could be expected on a Saturday evening. We will be back!"
