  • "we went for a work good bye lunch and it was perfect for us. They gave us a nice little room for us to have a private lunch. We ordered the family style portions and they were perfect for the group. We had to ask to have the music turned down several times - it was unnecessarily loud. The service was fair. Our waitress was lovely, but it seems shie might have been the only person working. Lots of others standing around, but she seemed to be the only one actually working. It took a long time between salad and main entrees and then again for dessert and check. It was a bit ridiculous. the food was great"

  • "To be fair, I did not know that this was a chain. I was looking for a restaurant near Aladdin and this is what was the closest with OT reservations. The pasta was obviously not fresh and the server was not good either. He kept calling my table of 6 guys...4 of us were of the female gender. I am also not a fan of the family style dining, it does not provide you with the option to taste multiple dishes. All in all if the food was good it would not have mattered but, the was not good so..."

  • "Our group of 10 business people was able to sit at one table and have conversations without problem. The price was reasonable, especially for NYC and the waitress was very good."

  • "I was a solo diner for dinner but the selection is only from the lunch menu which is very limited. Groups have a much better selection. Food was just ok. I've had better at Olive Garden and Carrabbas."

  • "A real gem in an area of town where it's hard to find a good place to sit down with friends and family. They take reservations and for 7 or more can give you a semi private room. Family style servings made it feel like we were eating at home."

  • "We needed to find a place to eat before our 8 o'clock show. Our server was amazing and got our food order in and out in record time. I will definitely come back the next time I am in NYC."

  • "It's hard to find a decent chain on time square but this one delivers consistent taste and service."

  • "From the moment I made the reservation to paying the bill, dealing with the folks at Bucca was terrific. We had party of 13. They set us up in an area away from the crowds and the manager visited several times to make sure we were ok. The food was plentiful and good and they were able to accommodate various dietary requests. We were able to find a reasonably priced and very drinkable wine for the table. The bill was reasonable and nobody left hungry. Thanks for taking the stress out of planning a large dinner event!"

  • "We shared the cheese manicotti thinking it would be a larger dish but it was a very small portion for the $23 price tag. However, the dish was good and the marinara was absolutely delicious. Our 6 year-old son had a good time too."

  • "Food was good but menu choices are very limited. A better choice for family style Italian food is Tony's di Napoli. Service was decent but not what I expect from a NYC restaurant."

  • "Made a reservation for 6:00. When arrived was told they were a little behind on all reservations. Long story short, we were finally seated at 6:50. We were a party of 12, so not easy to take the group to another restaurant. We were seeing an 8:00 show ( and told this to the host when arrived) which was the only reason we were in times Square. We rushed through dinner when finally seated so difficult to rate the food. Terrible experience."

  • "Came here for a birthday party for two friends. Arrived an hour earlier than reservation but they try to accomdate us ASAP. Food was good " family style". Everyone was stuffed. Staffs sang happy birthday song and gave out individual birthday card for guest. 👍"

  • "This was our first time eating at Buca di Beppo. It's a serviceable choice for Times Square. We had no problem getting a reservation at 6 PM on a Saturday night before going to the theater. Standard Italian fare served family style. The food was consistently good. The place is a chain, and they do things like encourage you to buy their drinks in silly light-up glasses, or get the massive sundae for dessert that feeds the whole table. Our waiter seemed a little perturbed that we didn't opt for any of these things. However, could be fun for a group, and certainly appropriate for families with young children."

  • "While the service was good and staff very accommodating this restaurant is best suited for large groups and out of Towners who are in the Times Square area. Other restaurants that offer similar family style dining are much nicer and a bit more of an adult dining experience "

  • "Amazing atmosphere, very big portions and mean BIG, small serves 2 large serves 4 ... easily, so keep that in mind when ordering, i had one of the best experiences of my life in this restaurant, we ordered espressos and it took something like 10 minutes to come, the manager brought it to the table, apparently the machine broke down, so he went to another restaurant and got us the coffees and because of the wait he even offered a free desert on the house, now that is caring for your guests ... i cannot recommend highly enough, Im a district manager for a big food service chain and i always mention this situation to my managers, really remarkable !!!"

  • "We had dinner here after Aladdin with lots of kids and it was perfect. Short walk from the theater. Very accomodating for a large party - took us right on time. Our server was great. Manager stopped by. All in all, reasonably priced and delicious food that kids enjoy. "

  • "Food was really good - didn't take like eating at a chain. Portions for two can actually feed more than that. They have a kids menu, but could be a little more friendlier for kids. We wanted an extra meatball for a child and was charged $8 for a full meatball - was more than the kids spaghetti & meatball entree!"

  • "Buca di Beppo was a lot of fun. It is festive and the Italian music is playing in the background setting the mood. The food is served family style and was tasty. I was with my four nieces and they loved the whole experience. The best part? The GIANT brownie sundae that came out for dessert. Our server was pleasant and attentive and the price was very affordable. I would definitely go back with a group."

  • "Don't let the busy Times Square location or the fact that you take an elevator to the 3rd Floor above Planet Hollywood fool you. Once you arrive, you are transformed. It's like having a home cooked Italian meal at your grandma's home. The staff are friendly. You will be greeted and seated in one of the many smaller dining rooms. It's an intimate feel. Even the neighboring tables may strike up a conversation about the décor or the food. It's all fun. You can actually have a conversation here. Be sure to make a reservation. Save room for desert. Since the portions are generous, you make take home some leftovers which heat up great for lunch or another meal. I have been to Buca many times and will return."

  • "Group of 12 - arrived and we wanted the round table. Staff quickly modified to grant us our desire for the round table...which is much easier for communicating with everyone. Service was excellent and the food as always is amazing. For a group of 12 the pricing is excellent when footing the bill for everyone and we get to try a bunch of different dishes. Bucca is our favorite family-style Italian restaurant."

  • "I was having trouble securing a reservation for Mother's Day for another restaurant in the area that my family is used to visiting, so I decided to try out Buca di Beppo since I had read great reviews on it and heard positive things about the restaurant. I was not disappointed! Our waitress Crystal was wonderful from the moment we arrived til the moment we left our table. The service was outstanding, which is not always the easiest thing to say for any restaurant in Times Square. We had a group of 7 and ordered a variety of small dishes and were very pleased with all of them, especially the chicken marsala and veal parmigiana. So happy with Buca, my family will definitely return!"

  • "Our waitress Elizabeth made our dining experience very enjoyable. Our early dinner at Buca's was the perfect ending to our trip to NYC-great bar, very clean, delicious food, polite, friendly and attentive staff. A definite "add to and return to" to our dining repertoire. Thank you Buca!!! "

  • "The food was good and the family style portions were nice. Our wine was nicely paired and overall everything was reasonably priced. It is part of a chain, but maintains a decent quality. The waitstaff at the manhattan location was attentive and friendly. "

  • "The most appreciated and exceptional thing we have always been delighted with has been the standard of excellence and sameness in all of the Buca di Beppos we have visited.NYC is the only exception. The first time there we were fortunate enough to have THE HEAD CHEF of BUCA in the kitchen (visiting) Our food was EXTRAORDINARY and we commented on it with great delight; that's how we found out.It was out of this world. So, we invited guests, raved ahead of time, and were somewhat embarrassed. Again, invited guests, it was good but not extraordinary, same this time. There are a lot of good ITALIAN restaurants in NY. Buca, in our opinion, except in NYC was always THE BEST. "

  • "The quality of food did not meet our expectations. It was very over priced, but that can be expected in Time Square. The most disappointing thing, was the tables were so crowded the space between us and the adjoining table was 6". We could hear their conversation and they could hear ours. I mean Really!! Might-as-Well pull the tables together and have a big social dinner. "

  • "Reservations honored quickly for our party of 8. Food was excellent and service was very quick. Food is served in small or large portions for 2 or 4 people. We were seated in a corner area where the music was at a perfect level to allow chatting. Would recommend to anyone."

  • "The Italian Margaritas were very nice, with a slightly unique flavor The baked ziti was good, as was the veal parmigiana. Side of broccoli was way overpriced, for a very small serving. Food was better than expected from a Planet Hollywood franchise. Very expensive though, for what we had -- $100 for a meal that would usually cost a whole lot less in any typical Italian restaurant"

  • "Easy to find, great friendly service, food was excellent. Love the family style serving sharing with 2 or more people is great, like having a family dinner. Can't wait to go there again. Definately recommend this restaurant!"

  • "All enjoyed food And drinks. Waiter is another story. The restraunt wasn't busy and the waiter was trying to hurry the us up . His remark was " lets get this over with", this was not the feeling well had for Easter sunday dinner. Was disappointed. "

  • "The only downside to the experience here is getting around in Times Square, but the food is fantastic and served in huge portions which make it great for sharing in big groups and sampling multiple dishes (which you'll want to do). Our personal favorite is the Antipasto Salad, and we also had a side order of the mini meatballs which was more than enough food for two people. The baked ziti and lasagna are also both fantastic choices. They offer a lot of novelty drinks but normal selections from the bar (martini, etc.) are perfectly fine. Servers are all very friendly and the atmosphere and decorations are a lot of fun. Try to visit around a time when the Times Square neighborhood won't be packed and take a big group. "
