Buca di Beppo - MilwaukeeAnniversary DinnerMy hubby and I went for our fourth anniversary dinner here and loved it! The fried mozzarella was magnificent and the fresh bread was soft and delightful. We ordered a side order of fettuccine alfredo and the manicotti. The alfredo was superb, and my only not so good thing was the manicotti was a little dry and tough from sitting under the heat lamp in the kitchen for a bit to long. Everything else was great, and when my husband mentioned it they offered to give us a free dessert. However we were to full to eat anything, so we didn't order one. The food was excellent; our waitress was very nice. We were a little surprised that they automatically put an 18% gratuity on a party of 7 (we usually thought it was included on a party of 8 or more). First time for either one of them. The meal was great and my mother was even talking about the food the next day. The sever we had (Austin) was great, we had a group of 9 with three kids and never went without anything. She was a wonderful addition to our visit. Highly recommend this place to all. Everyone enjoyed the food and you don't feel rushed. We all had time to reconnect and talk and absolutely loved the Linguine Frutti de Mare. I have been going to Bucca di Beppo several times a year since I've been at school. The pricing seems high at first but isn't so bad when you realize how it works. As a broke college student, I cannot afford to go very often but more as a treat (getting through the quarter, finals week, birthday, Mother's day). The plates cost around twenty bucks each but I can get 3+ meals out of them and I am a growing young man. The service is always great and it is hard to choose off of the menu. It all sounds great. We had a reservation be we ended up waiting about 45 minutes for a table. when we sat down to eat a manager walked up to us and told us that he would pay for our meal because we waited so long. this was the most incredable thing i have ever seen.
