Buca di Beppo - ChampaignWoo hoo!I come from a big Italian family, so we are ways very skeptical of Italian restaurants. Buca di Bepo, however, blew us away. The atmosphere was very unique and we had a very friendly server. The food was phenomenal, and my family sets high standards for Italian restaurants. We ordered our food family style, which allowed everyone to try everything. They served large portions, and that made it feel like we were right at home at our own Italian family dinner. No non-alcoholic beer was available-not acceptable at a major restaurant like this one. I booked the reservation and was surprised to find out that the restaurant was off the food court at the mall. When we got there it was very nice and the food was very good. I came with my husband and his parents to celebrate my husband's birthday. He's a private shy person so he didn't want a big scene for his birthday just a nice dinner with family. We got there at dinner time, set up a reservation on-line ahead of time just in case it was too busy. We got 2 pasta dishes (small) and it was more than enough to share and have extra for the 4 of us. I like the ambiance, so much to look at and it seems to be all Italian inspired.
