Buca di Beppo - BrandonFun in the kitchenWe had a great time eating in the kitchen the other night. We ordered the meatball appetizers, garlic bread, caesar salad and the ravioli. All three of us had to order the ravioli again because we like it so much. Our waiter was wonderful, always checking on us and chatting with us. We watched the kitchen staff prepare the meals and the wait staff walked to our table presenting the food they were delivering. All of the Italian choices are served family style with the small portions large enough to serve 2 hungry people. We opted to sit at the table that is actually located in the kitchen where we were able to watch most of the food preparation and as the dishes were being served to the other diners, the servers would stop at our table and explain the Gdish to us. Our server was Jacob and he was fantastic. The service was flawless and his personality was great. We waited for over an hour and a half to receive our entree (which we did not mind waiting that long as we were having such a good time talking and enjoying the atmosphere without our 15 month old son). No sooner did my wife's spoon hit the platter to start to divvy up our delicious meal, the fire alarm went off and we were told to evacuate immediately and we had to leave without getting a single bite. There were four of us so what ever we ordered it was going to be more food than we could eat but that is part of the fun. We ordered veal parm, eggplant parm and pasta and meat balls. On a scale of one to ten we would all give it tens!!!! The service was very good and quick. What ever we needed was brought to us as quick as we asked and the drinks were refilled without asking. Reservation was easy. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Service was friendly and cordial without being overbearing. Food was great. The portions are generous. If you are new to family-style dining, I recommend asking the server to recommend portions. Just happened that it was also one of our team member's last day with us. Therefore, this was a double celebration. The service was good and the food was good by all except for (2). Their orders were wrong. One order was corrected and the other order which was the fritta still was wrong. I was the one that received the wrong order. However, the waiter did come to me to let me know what had occurred and offered to bring me something different. It was simple and yet thorough. I called on the day of the reservation to say I was running early and wanted to "up" my reservation to an hour earlier which put it at the 6 oclock hour and yet the person on the phone was very accommodating. We were greated immediately upon entering and were given the tour with a new bit of trivia we did not know. We then proceeded to a most wonderful dinner experience.
