Diner Reviews
  • "We went during restaurant week. Food was great!! Service was wonderful!"

  • "I liked the location, the food was actually better than I expected it would be. Unfortunately on the night that I dined there the restaurant was hosting a large event and the place was filled with people moving around. I'm not sure that I really had the true Bubble experience. I will also note that they don't offer parking validation like most restaurants do, so prepare to spend an additional 7-10 for parking."

  • "We went for a 7pm dinner on a very busy evening in Uptown. We came up to an empty host stand. A waiter walked by and said nothing. It was very empty inside, which to me was quite odd, considering how busy Uptown was. We ordered drinks and we received them fairly quickly. We also ordered appetizers (cheese plate and tuna tartar) both of which were pretty good. However, after we received appetizers, we were pretty much abandoned on the patio. The waiter came by 20 minutes later and said the food would be out shortly. We did not receive our entrees until another 20 mins later. The explanation was "sorry, we share a kitchen with Whiskey Warehouse and sometimes it doesn't work out". SERIOUSLY. Thank you for semi good food and terrible service."

  • "This is a place more suited to group events than intimate dining for two. Rather loud for a place that was partially full of patrons. Nice decor, great food, and service was as expected."

  • "Upon entering the restaurant, we thought someone just had an overwhelming amount of vanilla body spray on. Unfortunately, after we were there for a few minutes, we realized that the smell was throughout the entire restaurant. We asked the server and she stated that yes they put that smell through the vents. IT WAS HORRIBLE! We could not eat there. We smelled like vanilla for an hour after we left there, and we were only there long enough for a drink. I hope the owners see this and do something about it. The server said a lot of other people had complained about the smell. Not something you want while trying to enjoy a meal."

  • "Recently had a date night at this spot for Charlotte's Restaurant week. It was amazing! Great service and exceptional food! Overall, a great experience! I would definitely recommenced to someone looking for a quiet, date night setting."

  • "Food was pretty good. I asked for medium-well filet mignon but got a very well done steak instead which was a bit dry. Husband had salmon and said it was good. We were seated at a high-top table in the bar area and served the bartender - not sure why. Maybe because we were there for the restaurant week menu? We would have preferred a regular table. Bartender was a bit slow in taking our order and getting drinks but I'm sure it's because he had the rest of the bar to tend. Overall it was good but we will probably will not go back just because there are so many other restaurants in the area to try."

  • "Bubble is great for cocktails and a light meal. Sexy ambiance, friendly staff, great service."

  • "Tried it. Once was enough. From the inappropriate staff attire to the poor quality of service, nothing stood out as upscale dining at Bubble. Waitress was clueless and aloof, pouring full glasses from a bottle of wine that was purchased before allowing us to assess the quality. We were brought Ritz crackers with our cheese plate that I could have very well served at home for a tenth of the cost. The server that brought out our entrees dropped half of my plate on the ground at my feet and instead of taking it back to be re-plated, left it with me and told me that if I wanted more to let them know????? We will not be returning."

  • "I went to Bubble this weekend and it was the first time I had ever been. I went during Charlotte Restaraunt week so the prices were a little cheaper than normal. The good that I had was very good. It was a nice atmosphere and I would go back. I would recommend someone to try it, for me I wouldn't go there all the time because the prices are a little high I thought but it is somewhere I would go for special occasions."

  • "The salmon was probably one of the best that I had thus far in Charlotte! Bravo, however, I do wish they had a better drink special menu to offer customers."

  • "Chef is amazing the presentation and food was great. This is obviously a club and not a restaurant, we ate off of our laps? Bar tenders were great but waitresses are more like bar servers and not meant to be fine dining."

  • "I was excited to visit this place and decided to go during Restaurant Week or as they called it in Charlotte, Queens Feast. I went for my 24th birthday with friends & family. The ambience was really laid back but energetic because of the neon glow from the decor. It's quite beautiful but that's about it. The service was VERY slow. My cousin ordered a salad (which is usually the first thing to come out) & she got her plate last (we had a party of 9). It was so late that the rest of the party had finished their food so she asked for it to be packed in a to-go plate. There weren't many people there (we made reservations for 5pm on a Saturday) & the tables for large groups are very inconvenient."

  • "We spent NYE here. It was a bizarre experience... They confirmed my reservation 3 times. When we got there, we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. They had a set menu which was not advertised and the first I heard about it was after the first confirmation phone call. The food was not very good. Stay away from the creme brulee and the blue cheese dip. Gross... My main course was ok. The good news is that the bubbly was great!"

  • "This is a loud night club that serves decent food."

  • "I am extremely confused about this place. I imagined it would be an upscale champagne lounge. But it is actually extremely cheesy and the servers are more like strippers. There was also no reasonably priced champagne. Anybody knows what to expect from all the cliche bottles on the list. And no one would order those! I had hoped this would be similar to Bubble lounge in NYC but they are completely different. Don't be fooled. There is a reason this place is constantly empty of customers."

  • "The food and service was mediocre. The problem was that a few minutes after we arrived the place started to fill with people attending a private cocktail party. An hour later, we were the only diners and the party was swirling around us. People hanging over our table, so much noise we couldn't even carry on a conversation. I called over the manager and asked why did he not tell us when we made the reservation that there was this party and perhaps we would like to consider coming another night. Or why not close the entire venue since the whole space was being used by the party. The manager could've cared less. Ownership would do well to find another manager who knows how to properly run a restaurant. We will never go back."

  • "There are way too many great places to dine in Charlotte to waste time and money at Bubble. I can only assume that since it is named Bubble they would like to establish themselves as a high end champagne/wine restaurant. Problem was that our server, although nice, couldn't give us any insight on the wines we asked about, let alone suggest one. Our wine was only $50-$60, but I could only imagine someone ordering a high end bottle. Yikes! What a missed opportunity. Our entrees came out before we were done with our appetizers and we were asked if we would like them to go back and then they could be refired when we were ready. HA..Sweet! Regardless, the food was not worth the money spent. I wish I had more typing room. Dine at your own risk!"

  • "Bubble had everything we were looking for to enjoy our Girls' Night Out. Food was outstanding-best steak we've ever had! Atmosphere was exciting and it's located right in the heart of Charlotte's nightlife. We'll be back!"

  • "The inside is decorated beautifully and the food was also very delicious. My new favorite spot at the Epicenter."

  • "Food was okay and maybe it was due to the selections for Restaurant Week. I was disappointed in my drink as they did not have all the ingredients. The food was a little bland but the sauces were good. The service was nice as well as the decor of the restaurant. I would try the Bubble again but I would try a different entree other than the Salmon and the Steak. It's and interesting concept and a great place to take a nice woman out for a bite to eat. Thanks"

  • "We didn't realize Bubble served food. It's a hot spot late, but we were pleasantly surprised at the food. We only tried a few things, but the salmon and steak was really good. And the upscale feel of the dining experience was nice as well."

  • "Disappointed to find the cheapest bottle of champagne on the menu is $85. Asked the server what plates were good for sharing, she didn't know. We ordered an (overpriced) cheese platter, asked 2 different servers what each of the (tiny) cheeses were, neither had any clue, but all 5 just tasted like cheap brie. None of the 5 aps we tried were notable. Frustrating to pay so much (and in turn be expected to tip so much) to just have such forgettable food and an unknowledgeable wait staff. Ambiance is great. Too bad."
