Had a business lunch here at the recommendation of a local supplier. It was very good but it is very expensive for the menu offered. Was good for our business lunch, and might take the family once for an experience, but would not frequent the restaurant.

Outstanding and different menu choices from the normal lunch places...even the upscale ones! Fish, meat, salad and special choices all make for a special lunch and a nice relaxed meal. Just a tad more than usual lunch price....but worth it once in while for sure! Have to make reservations to get the inside and better seating.

Given the location and the surrounding scenery on a bright, sunny day - this spot can be an appropriate, NYC staple for a business lunch. It's clearly built for biz-lunch crowd as the food is mass-produced (out within 10 mins of ordering from our completely uncaring and borderline rude waitress), tasteless, and extremely overpriced. Unless forced to by a nearby-dwelling client, I wouldn't ever go back for lunch.

We went to BPG based on reviews that indicated it was relatively quiet. It was anything but though the outside tables during the warm months night fill that bill. Better to go when they're serving outside. Inside it's cacophony.

We were happy to find that it is still possible to sit "outside", although with a plastic tent over the patio, it's not quite as charming as the summer. We had a 6pm reservation and arrived early, before our guests, so we went to the bar first to order a drink. It was busy and the bartender did not seem to notice us, so we went out to our table. There were a group of servers chatting at the far end of the patio and after about 5 minutes of waiting for someone to come to our table, I got up to see what the hold-up was. At that point, the server made her way over to our table. The service was fine the rest of the evening and the food was good (it was better the first visit) so we will go back, but hope to not have as rough a start next time.

My wife and I had wanted to eat there since we first saw the place a year ago. We arrived for a 1PM lunch on a Friday, so they were very busy. This is a very large restaurant so they were a serving many, many people at the same time.this also made it extremely loud - it was hard for my wife and I to hear each other. The waitress and the host staff were friendly and efficient. The food seemed to have been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile - dry on top and soggy croutons that were on top of the lentil soup. We sent back the mushroom ravioli and suffered through the kale salad and lentil soup. After about an hour, about half the people had left and the sound came down to normal levs.

Overall good experience, food were good portions and delicious. The waitress was nice and polite, but whoever the guys that delivered the dishes from kitchen were RUDE! They attempted to deliver the entrees within 10 min after the appetizers were served. It was obvious everyone in my group was not done with appetizers, he had the nerve to ask if they could put the entrees on table. NO! It wasn't ok. Then they ended up taking all dishes back to kitchen. We had two steak orders, and when they redelivered the food, they weren't at the right temperature. We didn't complain because we had guests and didn't want to fuss, plus don't want unwanted stuffs in our food if we requested the food to be redone. And that guy stared at me afterwards, rude!

Love the vibe of Bryant Park in Fall, and the Grill is the perfect setting for a stylish lunch. Varied entrees to satisfy every palate. The reception was warm, effusive and inviting but the service was not as we'll paced or smooth, with frequent and inappropriate interruptions during what we hoped would be a very pleasant and equally productive lunch. The outdoor seating was fun. However, the staff was not too accommodating in securing a quiet table for us away from the glaring sun. A more polished wait staff would had suggested the main dining room as the optimal suction. Loved the grill, though. Hope they'll find a way to match the superb ambiance of a backdrop of one our city's more beloved park with a worthy. sophisticated staff!

Bryant Park is my favorite part of NYC, and this restaurant is my happy place within the park. Even though it could be touristy and cut corners knowing its popular location will always bring in crowds, Bryant Park Grill never does. Instead, the service and food are always incredible and the ambience is just perfect. I love this restaurant so much my husband and I got married here last year -- I really don't have enough good things to say about Bryant Park Grill!

The Bryant Park Grille is a lovely oasis in the heart of Midtown. The choices for lunch are imaginative yet healthy. Perfect window table overlooking the park... Mussles in thai coconut broth and persimmon salad for appetizers both delish. My wife had the bronzino and I had the sea bass...both an excellent choice. And finished off the meal with bananas for bananas! A Fun choice of flavors that we shared. Our waiter was great he explained the seasonal changes in the menu and made great recommendations. My only complaint was the bread brought to the table, it was like chewing a raw old bagel and the butter didn't help. Probably shouldn't eat bread anyway!

My husband and I spent 3 days eating and drinking like royalty in NYC.It ended with dinner at BPG.Such potential with its location and lovely venue.Maybe the A team served outside though same kitchen. Our server had no personality and never told us his name. We ordered wine, appetizers and meals then after bringing the wine we never saw him again until our meal was over. No one asked how the food was. For the record my husband's $40 steak was fatty and under done and the fries were cold. The assistants brought our mains before we were done our appetizers. My pea and asparagus risotto had almost none of that in it: mostly soggy spinach and no cheese. $25 main was same size as half portion night previous at Robert (awesome!).Never again.

I am from Sydney (Australia) and whenever i visit NYC I love going to Bryant Park Grill. The food, drinks and service are always great! The location and ambience really makes me feel like I am on holiday in NYC. My boyfriend and I had been travelling for 33 hours and we stepped straight off our flight and went to Bryant Park Grill for brunch. The staff were very helpful with accommodating our early arrival and helping us with our luggage. They went above and beyond our expectations which made for a great and relaxing experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for great food and an awesome experience.

Some friends and I were visiting NYC for a girl's weekend. The place itself is beautiful and colorful. Great atmosphere! I ordered the French toast which was the best ever!! We got some great pics as well. My only complaint is the waiter. He was fairly nice at first. Then he gave us the check on one tab, but we wanted 4 seperate checks because we were all paying differently. He immediately got an attitude. When he bought 4 seperate checks he just laid them on the table and walked away rudely. I will definitely return, but I will not accept him as my waiter.

We love the Bryant Park Grill: it's our go-to-choice when we have out-of-town visitors or special personal occasions to celebrate. It's one of the few restaurants in New York where the acoustics and absence of unnecessary music allow you to talk, listen and hear the conversation at your own table. The spacing of the tables is ample, room to breathe and relax. The servings are generous and there is great variety of choices meeting varied tastes from vegetarian to carnivore. Offers true value for the extra dollar you might spend to be here. Location, location, location - hard to beat.

It was a convenient location for us and good timing for our 3 p.m. Broadway show. I felt there should have been more included in the fixed price - such as a basket of sweets (for which they charged another $6) and probably a juice option in addition to coffee or tea. Service was attentive and pleasant and decor is very nice (inside and out).

When I arrived on a hot summers day, the line was litterally out the door. However the host and hostess moved the line quickly. Many of the guests chose the outdoor seating as it was a beutiful day. I arrived early for my table and ahead of my guest. I was seated quickly. The dining room filled up quickly and became a bit noisy. Not to be unexepected given the large open room and number of tables. Several larger tables were celebrating one occoasior or another. The server was attentive, the food came out fast and hot. Within an hour the restaurant cleared out as quickly as it filled up. It appeared that many others had 2pm appointments like me and my guest. Overall a very pleasent dining experience for a business lunch in midtown.
